- Excellent Protection: This reinforced ceremonial armor set ensures that its wearer has greater resistance against most types of damage, capable of resisting directed lightsaber attacks, concentrated blaster fire, and even the most powerful of Dark Side attacks. The mesh underlay weaved into the armorweave bodyglovc also ensures that the impact of attacks is lessened and dispersed just enough to avoid devastation to the Autarch's body. The Fireworm scales, however, have proven to be the best portion of this armor despite not being the main plating, as it grants Kascalion the ability to survive a host of flame-based attacks, including a massive resistance to magma akin to the Fireworms themselves. These scales are additionally the main reason why the armor can resist the wide-range of energy weapons that it does, including lightsabers, although due to their thinning for the armor, they do not provide the immunity to the latter like the natural scales.
- Crushgaunts: Increasing his already tremendous strength, these intricately placed Crushgaunts have already been the end of dozens of men and women opposing the fearsome Devil. Combined with his natural strength, these devices allow Kascalion to obliterate entire tanks and structures in minutes, acting as a back-up weapon in the event Kascalion loses or discards his primary weapons.
- Thin Sections: To prevent it from being unbearably heavy, the armor's plating becomes thinner around the abdomen and waist. This gives any attackers a greater range of weak points to concentrate on and thus damage and possibly kill the wearer.
- No Leg Armor: Ending just underneath the groin, the armor offers no protection for Kascalion's legs above his shins and boots, giving attackers an area of attack to incapacitate him in battle.
- Cold Elemental Damage: As it was designed to offer protection to heat damage, the armor offers absolutely zero protection against the cold, meaning that enemies equipped with cryo weapons, including Cryokinesis, immediately have a massive advantage against Kascalion in battle.
- Sonic Weaponry: Interestingly, the armor grants very little protection to sonic weaponry which passes through or directly impacts his armor to great effect.
- No Environmental Protection: As it is primarily a set of ceremonial armor and the man himself is already somewhat resistant to such damages, Kascalion chose not to implement environmental protections beyond the scales. This means that should enemies combat the beast on dangerous planets that could harm the unprotected following a certain passage of time, Kascalion runs the risk of being worn down by lengthier fights.
The Autarch's Battle Plate serves as the pinnacle of Kascalion's defensive equipment, on par with his currently utilized clone body. Aesthetically, this unique armor appears almost like a legionnaire of old, featuring a number of iconographies and martial design choices to invoke a sense of prowess on the battlefield.
Historically, the first variations of this armor saw heavy use during the era of Revan's Empire and the subsequent splinter Empires that followed it, long until the end of Vitiate's reign. During this time, these armor sets saw many users who all seemed to be disturbingly obsessed with not only crafting it but also wearing it, claiming that it was their true skin. While the reasoning behind this has been locked away in mystery, some of the more astute scholars of the Galaxy who know of the armor's existence claim that each of those who wore it were in fact reincarnations of the being most commonly known as the Devil - Kascalion Giedfield. It has been surmised by those closest to Kascalion - as well as the man himself - that these reincarnations were created to fit the specific physical attributes they held that would allow them to wear the armor without any unnecessary modifications.
Whatever the case, the armor design has consistently proven its sturdiness, more so in recent days after its exhuming from a hidden vault deep in the crust of Dromund Kaas. Once again worn by Kascalion Giedfield - now the Autarch of the Dread Ascendancy - the armor immediately marks him as a terrifying presence on the battlefield thanks to its unique design and strengths.
