Aveline was created to give comfort to the dying mother of a renowned scientist. As a result, Aveline was created with several unique abilities
centred around comforting and soothing. Over the years, Aveline has learned to use some of these abilities in more creative ways.
- Comfort Programming: While not inherently an ability (does not affect her personality), it's definitely an important aspect of Aveline. Aveline's comfort programming ensures that she always talks in a low and smooth tone, her movements and motions always soft.
- Heated Palms: Aveline was created to soothe the aches of an elderly dying woman. Aveline's heated palms helped to soothe the aching joints of the woman whilst also providing her with a soft, warm and comforting touch. This soothing technique can be used on anyone.
- Low Frequency Speakers: Aveline was fitted with low frequency speakers to help soothe her masters restless nights. These speakers emit low frequency or soothing sounds that can calm an everyday person. It is unclear whether this calming affect will work on a force sensitive person.
- Small Distance Flight: While Aveline can hover at will, she can fly short distances. Aveline can fly for a few minutes before her power levels begin to suffer. This is something Aveline seeks to improve upon.
- Comfort Programming Deactivation: Aveline was secretly programmed with the ability to deactivate her comfort programming. When this programming is deactivated she is able to use abilities intended to soothe as a weapon. If deactivated for prolonged periods, her usual pleasant demeanour can change quite drastically. Aveline can seem irritated and short of patience.
- Energy Beams: When Comfort Programming is deactivated, Aveline can divert power from it and fire an energy beam from her hands. While fairly low in damage output, it could still injure someone.
- Audio Frenzy: Aveline can emit harsh and disorientating sounds from her speakers when her Comfort Programming is deactivated. Similar to when it is activated, it is unclear if force sensitive people would be affected greatly.
Personality
Aveline is a droid of sweet nature. Created to be of assistance and comfort to a dying elderly noble woman, great care was taken when programming her personality. Aveline was a typical service droid, polite and dutiful. However, spending prolonged time with her master (who saw her as a daughter), and with a little tinkering to her programming, Aveline reached sentience. As a result, she has developed her own personality.
Comfort Programming Activated (default mode): As Aveline reached sentience, she developed her own thoughts and feelings. Under the careful teachings and supervision of her master (whom she was caring for), Aveline became a refined and educated young lady. Aveline's master was a noble lady, who taught her everything she knows with a degree of class and gracefulness. Aveline speaks eloquently, never using slang unless to repeat it back to someone to gain understanding of the word. She is always polite, with an air of elegance, and always ensures to treat people with the utmost respect. Aveline is also extremely inquisitive, her knowledge of other cultures is rather limited so she goes out of her way to learn from those she encounters.
Comfort Programming Deactivation (prolonged): Aveline can deactivate her comfort programming to use a few of her abilities in a offensive manner. Aveline only deactivates this programming if there are no other options and there are two good reasons for this. The first, Aveline's master (or mother) was a staunch supporter of peace over conflict. She instilled these same thoughts in to Aveline's mind, thus making violence and uncomfortable thing for her. However violence is often hard to avoid in which case, Aveline can deactivate her comfort programming which leads on to second reason she dislikes it. Prolonged exposure to this deactivation causes changes in Aveline that would shock those who know her. The girl who is usually sweet and polite, becomes very irritable and has a surprising lack of patience. Her eloquent speech remains in tact, however she has been known to use curse words in this state. It is unclear what will happen to Aveline if she spends too long in this irate state.
Strengths and Weaknesses

- A soothing soul: Thanks to her core functions, Aveline is adept at calming people. She can help prevent the rise of tensions by either directly calming someone with her touch, or calming a group with her low frequency speakers. As stated previously, these techniques wont work on everyone, especially force sensitive individuals.
- Refined Speaker: Aveline's eloquent speech has more perks than some would realise. Always speaking politely, Aveline gives off a aura of formality and sophistication. This strength has gifted her with the respect of many, who see her as they would an organic. Aveline also does not face a lot of the discrimination other droids do as a result. Of course Aveline's appearance also helps with this.
- Limited Flight: Aveline can hover at will (and almost always does), however Aveline can fly for short periods of time. While it's only short in length, she is able to reach places most organics would not without assistance.
- Fragile: Aveline was built for assistance, not warfare. Her body is pretty fragile and can only withstand low levels of damage, anything above risks total destruction. Aveline has to be careful when engaging in combat.
- Worldly Naivety: Having lived a sheltered life with her master, Aveline still has a lot to learn about the galaxy. If not careful, Aveline could be led astray with her pursuit of knowledge and understanding.
- Droid Girl: With all things considered, Aveline is still a droid. She is susceptible to all common dangers that droids face. Aveline does have a resistance to water, however things like EMPs are still a huge danger to her.
- Change of Temperament: When Aveline has deactivated her comfort programming, her mood changes drastically. This can shock and cause confusion in those who know her as the sweet droid girl. Additionally, those who meet her for the first time when she is in this state will think she is an inherently difficult person which might cause them to avoid her.
