Strengths:
The Avenger was built with the idea that versatility is synonymous with ability. While nothing extremely special in combat, equipped with normal weapons and shielding for a Starfighter it is average in space combat, roughly the equivalent to an X-wing in terms of ability, shields, hull strength, etc. Where it makes up for this is in atmosphere or aquatic environments, able to transition between the three seamlessly. In atmosphere and aquatic it makes use of computer controlled Canards near the front of the fighter with thinner vanes running the length of the vessel. These canards shift slightly when turning or preforming maneuvers in these environments assisting the avionics system of the craft allowing it to preform greater feats of agility and alacrity. In addition on the rear of the craft there are a pair of adjustable s-foils capable of rotating in three dimensions also controlled by the avionics computer to assist in flight capability. It uses a repulsorlift rudder, instead of an etheric rudder in atmosphere and aquatic environments.
Making use of Hydrostatic fields the ship can transition to aquatic environments, where it can be used to great effect as a support fighter. This also allows it to flee where its opposition cannot follow, allowing for a respite, laying in ambush, or used to outmaneuver an opponent. In water it relies on its repulsorlifts for propulsion and makes use of a rear tail-flap as a rudder to assist in steering. While not necessarily a significant advantage in combat, being able to transition to aquatic environments does eliminate the need to produce specialized craft when on aquatic worlds, and as most worlds do have an ocean of sorts it simply adds something extra its opposition probably doesn't have. It makes use of an ejector seat, when the pilot pulls a lever the cockpit is blown open and the pilot's seat its literally ejected from the ship. When Underwater, due to how aquatic pressure works, the pilot only has to wait for the cockpit to fill up, or have the hydrostatic fields of the ship active. The seat has its own Hydrostatic bubble allowing the pilot to survive in the extreme pressure of deep oceans while the seat inflates emergency balloons and travels to the surface. Chaff is used as a standard countermeasure. Underwater it is actually more effective since it lingers without the worry or rapid expansion or being disrupted by cross winds. Standard flares are also used, as these are common on starfighters. They also work underwater, though their course correction abilities are slightly reduced.
In keeping with ArmaTech's style, the ship has modular hard points for weapons and general purpose warhead launchers allowing it to be loaded or equipped with a variety of weaponry and loadouts. This is a simple conversion that can be done between battles, though attempting to do so during a battle is a unfeasible. The hardpoints can be fitted with any blastercannon sized weapon, be they mass driver, blastercannon, ion cannon, etc. It mounts its wireless systems in a segregated network from its computers needed for flight and combat. The Key difference with this variant and the original model is the Stealth Features that have been added to the ship. Using ArmaTech/Lucerne Developed Blackest Night Stealth Systems to block sensors numerous sensors types, though not undetectable. In addition it uses a form of baffled Ion drives that make detecting them based on efflux trails, engine emissions, and Ion tracers very difficult. Normally Standard Sensors are not good enough to detect them through conventional means.
