---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES: Above all, Avicus is a skilled Master. As an apprentice, he overpowered a Sith spirit that attempted to take control of his body. In doing so, he acquired a millenia of knowledge. Even as a knight, his knowledge of the Dark Side surpassed masters. He is also a skilled fighter, mastering Form X in addition to wielding lightsabers merely with the Force. Although, he cannot use multiple blades for an extended duration.
In addition to the techniques he has learned, from a young age, the Force has granted him the ability of empathy. It is something he has sharpened into a rather lethal weapon. In a weak mind, his powers can reach into their brain, reading their thoughts and emotions like a book. If given enough time, he can even rewrite memories as he sees fit.
However, he is not the Dark God he fancies himself to be. Indeed, his pride is his largest downfall. Pride both as a Sith, and as a Coruscantian noble. The Dark Side has a firm grip on him. It's written into his very DNA. His blue hair and yellow eyes being the physically seen mutations caused from the long history of Dark Side practicioners found in his mother's lineage. It is nearly impossible for him to disquise his affinity for the darkness. And even those who are not trained in the force to feel a chill in the air around him.
He is also subject to having an addictive personality. Where he kicked his spice addiction long ago, he is still an alchoholic and smokes like a chimney. As such, he shakes violently if he hasn't had a glass of wine over a period of time. And, decades of smoking has caused his respitory system to weaken. Prolonged physical activity leaves him quite winded.
SHIP: Sith Infiltrator named Plaguebringer.
BIOGRAPHY: Born to Coruscantian Nobility, most would think Avicus was pampered from birth. This is far from the truth. The destruction caused by the Gulag Virus on Coruscant took a large toll on the caste system. All of the equality between the classes brought forth from The New Republic was erased nearly overnight. Nobles who became infected were said to socialize with the commoners. This mindset was only strengthened with the fact nobles being infected became less frequent the more they distanced themselves from the other classes.
This was the reality Avicus was born into. As a child, he made a friend with a servant, and was severely beaten for it. Where his mother was a kind soul, his father, Mathieu DuSang, was a brutal man who held a fierce reputation both at home amd within the House of Nobles. This fierceness was something he tried to teach Avicus, especially as he taught his son how to wield a vibroblade.
From a young age, the young nobleman knew he was different. In addition to his unnatural blue hair and yellow eyes, he found people very easy to read emotionally, and found himself having prophetic dreams. These gifts only strengthened as he aged. Nursed by his mother who told Avicus to keep his abilities a secret, especially from his father. Between his father taking him to the House of Nobles, and his mother nursing his natural gifts, the young nobleman was well on his way to becoming head of House DuSang.
When he was 16, he had a dream he watched his father murder his mother. Weeks later, through horrified eyes, he watched from the shadows as his father ran his mother through with the noblemam's blade. In a panic fueled by rage, he stole his father's transport and ran off to Ziost. It was there he was found by Darth Umbra. The boy, nearly dead from starvation pledged his loyalty to the Sith Master and to the Sith Empire. His path to darkness and power had begun.
During his tutelage, he was frequently visited by Darth Sennou, a force ghost who gave him tips to overcome any obstacle set forth by his master. She had died over a thousand years prior by her lover. Betrayal was, afterall, the way of the Sith. It was during his knighting mission to obtain his lightsaber crystals that she reveiled her true interest in the young apprentice.
First, he went to Mustafar, finding two lava crystals that seemed to call to him. Those crystals wete then brought to Ambria where they were submerged in the waters of the Dark Side Lake. During his meditation at the water's edge, the truth of his mother's lineage was whispered to him. But his meditation was interrupted by a charging hssiss.
The beast fell to his vibroblade, but not before raking it's claws down his abdomen. As the creature slipped away, the spirit of Darth Sennou erupted from the beast and attempted to take the nobleman's body. Through sheer strength of will, he fought off jer influence, assimilating her in the process. Instantly, he gained all of her knowledge and experiences. Crimson eyes closed as an explosion of power burst forth from within.
When his eyes opened, he was levitating over the center of the lake. His crystals, now heavily saturated with the Dark Side were floating in front of him. During his trip back to Ziost, he completed his lightsabers. Two green hilts that could be interlocked. The crystals produced a white lava blade. His master was pleased. As Avicus kneeled before him, Umbra produced his crimson blade and rested it on the boy's shoulder, branding him and granting him the rank of Knight.
Within the Empire, Avicus made a name for himself early on in his Knighthood. He was a fierce warrior and was a natural leader. These attributes caught the attention of many Sith Masters. One in particular, Sky Kerberos, took him under her wing. She taught him that the Dark Side granted divinity. She taught him how to be a God. It was under her tutelage that he returned to Coruscant. There, he confronted his father. He was no longer solely Avicus DuSang, the Coruscantian nobleman. He was also Darth Sennou, the Sith Knight who asdumed the title of the Sith who tried to overcome him.
Mathieu was easily disarmed, and was slowly crushed with the Force until his innards burst from him. Suddenly, he found himself as the head of House DuSang, along with the wealth and political power that came with it. With it, Darth Sennou became the Sith Knight of Indulgence. Developing a taste for spice, Twi'lek slaves, and electronica. He even fathered a child with the Sith Mistress Lady Silencia.
It was during a week long spice binge that he found himself in the Sith Temple on Ziost. There, wearing only a cloak of blood he made from a group of slaves he butchered, he found the most beautiful scholar. She was a Sith Master, and was also Coruscantian nobility. She saw the spice was destroying him, and she freed him from that demon. In that act, she saved his life.
She taught him how to be a proper nobleman. And in time, he fell in love with her. Eventually, the pair became wed, and he adopted her daughter from a previous marriage. They would later have a son. Avicus found himself the head of a family. He became a better father to Merovign, the son he had with Silencia. Found himself straying from the path of a warrior and became both a politician amd a philosopher.
But, his perfect life was not meant to be. The cold truth of the Dark Side is that a practicioner found themselves constantly in strife. Shortly after he was mastered, Avicus found himself questioning his position within the Empire. A misunderstanding grew to malice as his wife branded him a traitor, and left him. It was then that he left the Empire, and focused on his position of Head of House DuSang. He raised his children in seperate households.
In his grief, he turnef to alcohol amd lust to numb the pain. Pirates and politicians, Jedi and Sith found their way to his bedchambers. He loved again, even had more children. But no one could replace his ex-wife. She was in his heart. To this day, she remains there still.
He was later recruited by OmegaPyre as an officer. His ruthless calculus and natural ability to lead on the battlefield made him a prime asset to the company. In return for the thrill of battle and a hefty salary, he was given a code of conduct to follow. As a representative of the company, he was required to behave in a certain manner. Such things were trivial to him. For they did not quell his passion.
Passion that gave him strength. In that strength, he found victory. In those victories, his chains wrre broken. The Force had set him free.
