Awkward Aftermath

Astrian sat at the end of the bed, his body only covered by a few thin sheets. Neveah slept a few inches away, her body still and curled up amongst the sheets and pillows. Her hair strewed across the pillow she rested her head upon, Astrian was conflicted. He didn't even understand what had happened, he was overwhelmed with a certain urge to kiss her, to wake her from her sleep. However he let her sleep on, turning to her. His eyes lingered on her, she was different. Neveah was different, he didn't have any of these feelings for other people. Somehow Neveah attracted him, he wasn't sure he would ever understand. But he was content in the now, he wouldn't have to worry about the later.
Astrian got up from the bedside, he was in nothing but his small clothes. He felt awkward, he didn't know how Neveah would react or how she would act around him now. This worried him, she had seemed rather happy the previous night. Maybe she would be just as happy when she woke, or angry or anything else frankly. The possibilities troubled him, these thoughts made him numb. He prepared a small breakfast for himself, and sorted out some clothes. A long tanned shirt and a thick blue jumper over the top, and a pair of brown jeans and two sturdy boots. It fitted well, surprisingly. Sitting down at the table, he had flashes of the night before with Neveah, it was intimate and exciting. He expected Neveah would wake soon, Astrian had been up for three hours contemplating whether to leave or stay with Neveah. He hadn't decided yet, maybe talking to her could sway him towards one of two options;

The sun was only rising now, and the balcony was shimmering in the light. Astrian's hair was tied back into a ponytail, however little strands fell to either side of his face as he ate. He enjoyed the peace and quiet, which he was sure Neveah was moments away from interrupting.

Neveah stirred from her sleep, rolling over and grumbling at the sunlight. Impressively, it had managed to find its way through the curtains and splash out over her pillow. Unfortunately it also happened to be directly in her eyes. Neveah was not a morning person. It was easy to tell by the way she lifted herself up, the constant grumble that escaped her lips and her half closed eyes. She had half a mind to go back to sleep, but she was forgetting something. Turning her head to the side, she realised that the other half of the bed was empty. Neveah could have sworn Astrian was there earlier.

She didn't bother with clothes. She never did during the early hours of the mornings. The set of rooms she had been given were hers and hers alone. Neveah wrapped the thin sheet around her body as best she could, flipping the curly mass of brown hair away from her eyes. Still half asleep, she swung her legs from the bed and made her way into the living area. Astrian was there, as expected. But so was breakfast. Last nights antics had been enough to leave her starving and the smell of food only made her stomach grumble.

Neveah sat down opposite him, attacking the food immediately. The sheets covered her body enough for her not to be concerned. Regardless, even if they didn't, Neveah wouldn't have an issue. After a few moments of eating, she glanced up at Astrian. "Good morning."

Astrian was fully clothed, even with a good nights rest and the calming silence of the morning. His mind was still fixed on what had happened. He could still feel the marks Neveah had left on his back, every time his mind drifted from constant thought the feeling of passion and sexual tension seized his memory, images and flashes of what they had done; coming back to him like it was a dream. His eyes drifted to the Neveah, who was now seated in front of him. Eating, she didn't seem phased at all or maybe she was just hiding it. He didn't know what to expect, thus far her actions had given him nothing. She was a closed book, he couldn't read her. It was frustrating, but that wasn't all he felt. Half of him wanted to smile and the other half wanted to leave in silence and think. He decided to do neither, as he continued eating. He took a moment to speak, "Morning." he replied. Returning to his meal, his eyes lingered on her for longer than what would be considered awkward then as if only discovering the elongated stare, suddenly shot down to the plate beneath him.

The meal was delicious, as you'd expect from such a place as Bastion. Home of the crumbling Fel, astrian had been up long enough to receive the reports. The Imperial Order was to join with the Templar Order of the confederacy. He wasn't sticking around for that, but Neveah would likely leave him for the riches and whatever else the Confederacy offered the Fel Family in return from compliance. So, he would not speak of it. Not here and now at least, such a conversation would come later. Right now, he needed to figure out what the feth she was thinking.
