STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
(-) He suffered a collapsed lung during the invasion of Coruscant. While the injury has healed, his stamina rapidly depletes in physically strenuous environments. Prolonged exposure may result in an arrhythmia or myocardial infarction.
(-) Due to Ayden's injuries, he's had to consume a lot of bacta. He has since developed a significant resistance to it.
(-) Fairly low pain tolerance.
(-) Ayden has suffered a lot of heart ache and prefers to keep his personal life to himself. His relationships with others are often tense and strained as a result.
(+/-) Ayden isn't the greatest lightsaber combatant. He predictably falls back on the basics of Form I and Form III when outside of training scenarios. He is, however, an exceptional marksman for a Jedi and carries a blaster pistol at all times.
(+/-) Coming from a sheltered background, Ayden lacks the insight and wisdom gained through experience. His perspective of the greater galaxy is not unlike that of a child and he can be easily taken advantage of.
(+) Ayden has developed a deep intuition provided by his trust in the will of the Force. This aids him on missions and in combat; it is his modus operandi.
(+) Ayden's religious background means he has a strong mental fortitude. His constant practice of meditation since childhood has granted him the ability to concentrate and center himself in moments of contention.
(+) He is driven by an inexplicable feeling to be something greater.
APPEARANCE:
Ayden's appearance is average. A white caucasian male of average height and weight. When not sporting his brown robes, he wears a brown synth leather jacket and a pair of black combat boots. His hair is brown and cropped short. Ayden has blue-gray eyes that express an aura of mystery and sadness. Every now and then his face becomes the picture of stubborn determination.
BIOGRAPHY:
The Quell family dates back for generations to the temperate planet Aleen Minor. Little is known about the family's migration to the planet or how the family came to be affiliated with the religious organizaton known as the Congregation of the Way. Ayden claims his father became head priest of the congregation shortly before 822 ABY. A few months later, Ayden himself was born.
Ayden always remembered his childhood fondly. Despite his happiness, he was always rebellious by nature and found it hard to commit to expected religious practices. Instead of attending religious service or taking care of his consumptive mother, he would often sneak away to climb trees or watch the famous podracers who practiced for the Aleen Classic. Once Ayden reached adolescence his relationship with his father became tenuous. More was expected of Ayden who was still slowly maturing. In fact, he openly shirked responsibility.
Ayden always felt he was destined for something greater, for another life. Rebellious, curious, and impulsive to a fault, he ran away from home. He took the first transport shuttle to the bustling metropolis of Coruscant, at the heart of the Republic. Looking for shelter, money, and clothing, he joined the Coruscant Security Force. As a training cadet, Ayden quickly excelled and stood out as a promising marksman. But it wasn't long after his graduation that Coruscant was invaded by the One Sith. Ayden remembers little from the battle, only that it was a bloodbath. It was his first real encounter in war and it scarred him for life. He watched mentors, friends, acquaintances, innocents, women, and children -- the people he had sworn to protect -- fall under the brutal might of the Sith Empire.
Ayden barely made it out alive. He suffered several wounds including one to his chest. The chest wound caused his lung to collapse. Fortunately he was found by a group of evacuees and quickly stabilized. He was then sent to Ossus along with the retreating Republic forces. It was during his recovery with the Jedi medical corps that his Force sensitivity was discovered. And a new chapter in Ayden's life began.
