STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
+Dancer: Ayoven was trained as a dancer from when she was ten to around fifteen, and her knowledge of the art makes her lithe and agile on the battlefield.
+Gladiator: Ayoven has trained in gladiatorial combat since she was sixteen. She is skilled in the use of numerous weapons, including rare ones not often seen on the battlefield.
+Beauty: Ayoven is very beautiful by human standards. Though she tends to avoid purposefully using her looks, they can sometimes score her points regardless, especially when dealing with the scum of the galaxy.
-Unaware: Iliana is-perhaps blissfully-unaware of her Force powers. She knows there is something different about herself, but has no idea as to its true source.
-Untrained: Though now aware of her true potential, Ayoven is completely untrained in her Force usage. Many of the things she does happen by accident or on instinct, and she is far from having a true grasp of any sort of refined technique.
-Wild: Ayoven is a fighter and a survivor, rough, tough, and reckless. She is slow to trust and doesn’t take crap from anyone, even if shutting up would save her life.
-Alchoholic: Ayoven has a lot of things she’d like to forget. Corellian whiskey does the job decently well.
APPEARANCE:
Taller than average, with a slim, slightly curvy body and long flaming red hair. Her eyes are a vibrant green and she has a youthful face. For casual occasions she wears an outfit that doubles as her waitress uniform, consisting of a black t-shirt, knee-length black skirt, and knee-high black boots, all with red accents. When fighting in the arena she wears light battle armor over minimal athletic wear.
BIOGRAPHY:
Ayoven Macann was dealt a sorry hand in the game of life on the day she was born. On that day her she lost her mother, who died bringing her into the world. Within a few years she lost her father, who drank himself into oblivion after losing his wife. For the first ten years of her life Ayoven was more street rat than beloved child, spending more time wandering the streets of Coruscant than she did at home. Her father hated her, believing her responsible for her mother’s death, and when she was ten finally sold her to a slave trafficker for drinking money.
Ayoven, a pretty young girl even at age ten, ended up at Miss Celine’s School of Dance; on the outside a dance studio for Coruscant’s elite that in truth was a front for the training and trafficking of exotic slave dancers. From age ten to age fifteen she was trained to be the arm candy of the wealthiest crime bosses in the galaxy, mentally and physically chained to her fate. However, while the physical chains worked relatively well, Ayoven was too strong-willed and independent to be anyone’s lapdog. At age fifteen, she made a run for it.
Street rat and freerunner she may have been, not even Ayoven could escape the best trackers money can buy. Luckily, before being caught, she managed to find the Lucky Strike cantina, where she met Adaran Blac, famed mercenary-turned-bartender who happened to run an underground gladiatorial arena on the side. Adaran, an honorable man to the core, took a fancy to the young firebrand that tried to hide in his bar, and when the mercenaries came to drag her back, Adaran settled things with a fat check and a big gun.
Adaran soon became the only person in Ayoven’s life she had any respect for. Making her a waitress at his bar, he paid for a real education and though he made an unfortunate mistake when he offered booze as a way to forget problems, he was in every way the father she’d never had. When she was sixteen, he showed her the arena, and there she found her passion. All the years of dancing training had made her limber and strong, the perfect gladiator. At first she only trained, as a way to protect herself and bond with Adaran, but after a few years she was good enough to take on any pit fight denizen. Taking the mantle “The Red Maiden” she soon gained a reputation for being a fierce combatant. She was faster, stronger; she seemed to read the enemy before they had even struck.
It was almost like magic. Almost...
When she was twenty-one, Ayoven defeated the final gladiator willing to face her in the ring and found herself wondering what to do next. Working at the Lucky Strike was an honest, well-paying job, but Ayoven longed for adventure and a life of significance. She got the chance when a Jedi, sensing her strength in the Force, revealed the truth of her ability. Now with a new skill to learn and refine, Ayoven decided to leave Coruscant and seek her destiny elsewhere. Buying a one-way ticket to anywhere she headed to the spaceport, only to be ambushed by a man called the Reaver, the man she had defeated just before leaving. Imprisoned and promised to the Hutts, Ayoven sent out a desperate cry for help with what little Force ability she possessed.
RP Notes:
Ayoven is a Red Sonja-esque character. She is feminine but strong, a skilled warrior who takes no crap from anyone.
