Intent: To create a heavy weapons droid for the Confederacy
Development Thread: no
Manufacturer: Stargo Enterprises
Model: B-36 “War Bug” Sapper Droid
Affiliation: CIS
Modularity: Yes
Production: Mass-produced
Material: Durasteel
Description:
The B-36 Battle Droid is a droid designed to carry out various missions that require a more explosive edge in combat. They were made in a closer image to their Geonosian creators as they are slim, sleek and very agile. Each unit is designed with retractable suction cups on their feet, right hand and shins. When not in use, they are stored away in small compartments hidden underneath their durasteel skin. Each suction cup is coated in FrictionGrip, which allows the droids to stick to varieties of surfaces with ease. It can easily grip onto buildings, most smooth surfaces and even rocky slopes. However, the grips will be unable to hold onto any surfaces that are extremely wet, rendering it useless in rain or snow (at least outdoors). While hanging onto solid and natural structures with the heavier rocket models is not a problem, handing from ceilings and other such surfaces is impossible with the heavier launchers.

There are three delicious flavors of the B-36 War Bug, all of which utilize explosive weaponry. The first version of the droid uses a mini-missile launcher (as seen in the picture) that utilizes a large device capable of holding 36 mini-missiles, great for anti-infantry means (the downside being that the whole device needs to be replaced for a reload). The second version uses a PLX-1 missile launcher that is capable of reload without complete replacement of the device, but requires a reload after each round fired (this weapon is used for anti-vehicle and emplacement roles). Finally it can utilize the HH-15 launcher for missions that require operation in extreme cold or have a need for anti-air.

Strengths:
  • Nimble
  • Can climb on multiple surfaces
  • Has a great payload considering its size

Weaknesses:
  • Weak to weapons fire
  • Cannot use blasters
  • Requires the assistance of other infantry droids
Classification: Class 4
Weight: 70 Kilograms
Height: 2.1 meters

Length: .4 meters
Width: 1 meter
Movement: Bipedal

Armaments:
1 interchangeable arm mount
Misc. Equipment:
Full spectrum sensors array

FrictionGrip suction cups

  • Are the HH-15 and PLX versions built into the droid?
  • If not, why can a droid use these launchers and not blasters?
  • How strong are these suction grips? Is it going to be hanging off the ceiling? Hanging off the ceiling is okay, but only with the first version using mini-missiles. If it's holding a PLX or HH-15 attachment, that's a bit too heavy. So clarify this in your description section.

The rocket launchers are built in upon manufacturing. I have also put in that hanging onto some structures is a no go with the heavier launchers.
