B/U-187 "Ayana"
Crimson Butterfly
B/U-187 "Ayana"
Age: 24
Species: Atrisian Human Clone
Eyes: Green
Gender: Female
Height: 5'7''/1.7m
Weight: 114lbs/51.7kg
Force Sensitive: no
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Ayana is a physically unimposing woman standing an above average 170 centimeters and having a very slim build. However, closer inspection would reveal that her body has been trained quite well. Having clear signs of the heavy conditioning of the Butterflies.
She has black hair which she keeps fairly short, pale skin, and brown eyes. All of which are in line with other perfect clones of Dr. Orime. Where she differs from other clones is a tattoo she got at the base of her neck of a red butterfly. To her this is a badge of honor, one that lets her stand out from her clone sisters.
Generally Ayana prefers trendy and expensive clothes to the more militant wear of the other Butterflies. She is most often seen in a red leather jacket and form fitting jeans. One thing she has never been able to shake is the penchant for red clothing. She seems to always find herself wearing something red on her person regardless of the outfit. Perhaps a quirk of the Butterfly's mental programming?
INVENTORY
Grapple gun
DL-44 Heavy Blaster
Vibroknife
PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Being a purpose built clone for the Empire of the Lost, one might expect a certain level of brainwashed loyalty, not so. Ayana is quite independent for a programmed clone, often disappearing from the Empire's radar on missions to pursue some side objective of her own. It is hard to tell if this is because she is particularly strong willed, or because of a faulty mental inhibitor.
With her independence in mind, she still aligns herself closely to her creator, Emperor Velran. This is most likely due to strong use of propaganda, but she does seem to believe in the Empire's mission for order in the galaxy.
Other notable traits are that she tends to avoid direct combat during missions, mostly out of a sense of self preservation. She'd much rather put a blaster bolt in your back than your front. When not in conflict she has a tendency to be laid back, and even flirtatious at times. Though whether her amorous feeling are real or not depends heavily on the target.
STRENGTHS
Stays a Stranger: During missions she concoct whole new personas, elaborate backstories, and believable lies which keep those hunting her guessing. One thing is certain about Ayana, she's rarely the same woman twice.
Escape Artist: A large portion of Ayana's training was how to get out of trouble once she was in it. She seems to have an uncanny knack for removing herself from bindings and traps.
Posthuman Upgrades: As part of the Butterfly Unit Ayana was given a host of implants to improve her performance. These implants put her far beyond even the most exemplary humans in several categories. She can lift well over 200kg without assistance, run at extreme speeds for long periods, and has nigh immunity to most diseases and poisons.
Healing Factor: Due to an implant called a Navardan Regenerator, Ayana can regenerate from most any injury. This can even include lightsaber gashes and explosive damage. Broken bones, damaged organs, and blaster shots can be healed within seconds to hours depending on severity. However, lost limbs cannot be regenerated by this implant.
WEAKNESSES
Identity Crisis: Being that lying is effectively Ayana's job, this comes with drawbacks. Chief among these is that she has trouble keeping the dozens of alternate personas straight. It can sometimes be easy for people to catch Ayana in a lie, a potentially deadly consequence for a spy.
Go it alone: Due to the nature of Ayana's missions, she doesn't have many allies to call on. This means she can easily be overwhelmed if exposed during a mission. While her implants do help matters, she is no one woman army.
Not a soldier: Ayana has no frontline combat experience, nor was she given any strict military training. While she can hold her own against the average thug or military grunt without issue, you won't see her willingly tangling with a Stormtrooper for example.
HISTORY
Ayana was not "Born" in the traditional sense. Her life began in a glass tube on the planet of New Alderaan. She was created as part of Velran's Butterfly Unit, an all female clone legion meant to supplement the Army of the Lost. Her and all of her sisters are clones of one Dr. Akiya Orime, a Xenobiologist once under Velran's employ. Something that Ayana resents quite deeply.
Once out of the incubator Ayana was given a designation and moved into her training. This lasted for around six months and consisted of a combination of general knowledge, basic combat training, and dedicated courses on espionage. The class of clones which Ayana was a part of were tailor made for spy missions, and in Ayana's own opinion they were damn good at it.
As time went on, Ayana grew tired of her original designation and decided that she would name herself. For official Imperial documents she continues to use her original clone name of 187, however she considers the name Ayana to be her current favorite name.
