PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
An Astromech of typical diminutive size, Bee-Zero looks to be an R-Series Astromech fashioned with tarnished black-and-orange hued plating across their body. Given their function, they are equipped with appendages and all of the bells and whistles most would see in others like their model. Several glowering photoreceptors dot across their 'head,' and a singular larger optic at the center of its forefront - which is considered a departure from what most models have.
PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
An abnormally expressive and energetic droid, B0-OM is a gleefully dangerous assassin that was never meant to be. Their actions and behavior can range anywhere from neurotically homicidal, to collected and soft-hearted, and anywhere in between - the differences often marking who it sees as friend or foe. Said differences are caused by his more dominant assassination programming clashing with his original astromech routines. Somehow, both attempting to direct the droid's decisions 'moderates' his behavior to the extent he is still capable of clever and logical thinking - if his need for death and destruction doesn't override it, that is.
They take a distinct pride in their independence, being vaguely patriotic when it comes to 'Droid Rights', and believing himself to be forsaken by his own prior master. Despite said homicidal temperament, they are eager to make new friends among other droids, and finds small amounts of enjoyment in teasing his more rigid companions. As they also find explosions pleasing to the photoreceptors, it is often used as a coping mechanism - with more serious episodes of stress warranting killing sprees. If it wasn't for their penchant for wanton mayhem and destruction, they would make an excellent companion for any space-faring individual.
STRENGTHS:
Unassuming: As an R-Series Astromech model, not many people believe that Bee-Zero can cause much of any issue. It is because of this that in a combat situation, he is typically ignored, and he is able to also get into more secure establishments by passing as maintenance droids. A coat of paint can easily add to this illusion. Often, this allows him to slip into places that he shouldn't be, and get the drop on foes who weren't even aware of the possibility of a threat.
Blastomech: B0-OM is a Blastomech, with all of the deadly armament and subroutines compacted into its frame that one would expect of any assassin droid. With additional personal modifications, he is an excellent little machine of mayhem and destruction, either alone or with others.
Astromech: B0-OM is still, at heart, an Astromech. He is adept at repairs of all sorts, and has many utilities that most combat droids go without for the sake of increased combat efficiency. You wouldn't be able to ask most battle droids for help repairing a ship, but you can for this one! If you don't get blasted first, that is.
WEAKNESSES:
Droid Issues: Despite their formidable armament of a Special Operations unit, they are still a short astromech, at the end of the day. Ionic weaponry can hamper their capabilities, and many of the burdens of being an astromech (minus the lack of weaponry...) applies.
Language Barrier: Despite being able to understand nearly every known language out there, this droid is still only capable of speaking in Binary. This might make it difficult for things that either aren't droids, or aren't experienced in talking with droids, to properly understand them.
Fragmented Personality: For a droid, whatever semblance of a 'mind' is capable of kindness and cruelty in equal measure. This can lead to sudden clashes of personality, decision-making, and more. You can usually spot the differences when he differentiates friend from foe.
INVENTORY & ARMAMENT
TBD, but it's a lot more than it should have.
HISTORY:
A Republic Senator's service droid and aide, B0-OM was once known as 'R3-M4', a dutiful and expressive droid whom faithfully served his organic master. He wasn't exactly mistreated, though the prejudice and casual devaluing of a droid's personality was always present within such a stuffy place. Their master often used them for a wide variety tasks that a droid frankly shouldn't be used for in order to avoid backlash - from making trips to lower sections on their behalf to fetch unique cuisine, to making bets on underground pit fights, to gambling, all while remotely ordering the astromech so that he may be as much of a lazy sleazebag as he wished.
Without protest and a proverbial skip to his step, R3 would carry out these orders with enthusiasm. However, this would not last, as his master's disregard for R3's usage eventually led to the Astromech being kidnapped by a particularly subtle underground syndicate that had bigger plans to blackmail the Senator. In this, R3 was the catalyst, being forcibly reprogrammed with Assassin Droid protocols and haphazardly fitted with weapons. This programming did not sit well with what already was present, and remains in constant conflict to this day.
When R3 returned to his organic master, it was with 'guests' that were permitted inside on the grounds of a cultural talk. Members of the Syndicate made their demands to his master, and the Senator - being stuck-up, and hardheaded as he was, refused and did not expect retaliation. When said criminals ordered R3 to kill his former master, something snapped - a rogue piece of code, a clash of subroutines that created a fault, or any possibility in between, it was unknown. Regardless of what caused it, the Astromech-turned-Blastomech opened fire on everyone within the room, and reduced it to a pile of rubble. When security arrived, they found only corpses, and no trace of its perpetrator - barring the excessive amount of carbon scoring from fired munitions.
With an unfortunately gained sentience, subroutines and personalities that constantly conflict with each other, this droid makes their way through the galaxy by passing as their old self, and using their new self to serve their own needs - from self-imposed upgrades to murder. As a symbol of their newfound independence, the droid humorously refers to itself as 'B0-OM.'
