- Concussive Force: Instead of a typical incendiary grenade, the B0G-4N Concussion Grenade releases a kinetic burst that is lethal is close range and can throw both organic and non-organic matter aside due to the strength of the blast.
STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
Strengths:
- (+) Non-Incendiary: Due to the B0G-4N Concussion Grenade using kinetic force, it doesn't have the risk of collateral or structural damage that a regular incendiary device does.
- (-) Loud: Due to the Kinetic Force being produced by the Concussion Grenade, it creates an explosive sounds that is extremely loud. This prevents it from being used in stealth missions except as a last resort. If mishandled it can also lead to disorientation of the person using the grenade.
- (-) Low Structural and Non-Organic Damage: As Kinetic force is significant in damaging interior organs on organic matter, this prevents it from being significantly damaging to droids and other inorganic matter. Outside of the 2 metre lethal range droids will experience little self damage aside from possibly being knocked aside, whereas the B0G-4N Concussion Grenade almost no structural damage to materials that are wider than 0.4 metres.
The B0G-4N Concussion Grenade was made by Valkori Technologies as a lethal alternative to the typical incendiary devices produced in most companies, due to the fragility of the Repulsorlift Technology that is widely used in the structural integrity of Zakuul. A concussion grenade can be used to disable or kill enemy threats while simultaneously not risking critical damage that could reduce the integrity of Zakuul's cities. It is mass-produced as the go-to grenade of all Zakuul forces, mainly by the Skytroopers who typically carry one B0G-4N concussion grenade in a dispensing compartment hidden on the droids. It was recently made to open market as the planet Zakuul has slowly been ending the self-imposed embargo and Valkori Technologies looks into distant business connections, using the grenade as one of their basic products to mass-produce in the galaxy.
The grenade itself is activated by twisting and detaching the lever on the top of the device and then being thrown at the selected target. Four seconds after the lever has been removed from the device, it will emit a strong sound quickly followed by a strong concussive blast that can be lethal within the two metre range and heavily damage beyond that. Though the devices kinetic force is lethal and quite powerful, it cannot do significant damage to structures and the damage to non-organic matter is significantly lessened outside of the two metre lethal range.
