OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Like a lot of the other droids made at the Gahenn droid foundry, the B2-CA was the answer to the question "What do we do about planets like Hoth?" The B2-CA was also discovered to be used during the Clone Wars, so some slight improvements were made. The Standard issue Wrist Mounted blasters were added, and it was given an E-22 Blaster Rifle as its main weapon of choice. The Grip Strength was doubled from the Standard B2, and a Thermal Heater was installed to assist the droid with fighting and functioning in sub-zero temperatures. The main design flaw that was not fixed was the slower running and walking speed, due to the large feet that were meant for stability in the snow weighing it down. There was also the now added risk of the Wrist Mounted Blasters becoming unusable via the barrel bending or breaking off due to the enhanced grip of the droid.

- If the droid is disarmed or the Blaster Rifle fails, the droid has two Wrist Mounted Blasters that are heated via the built-in thermal heater to act as a second line of defense.
- The B2-CA's grip strength has been increased to reduce the chances of the weapon being knocked out of the unit's hand.
- The droid's movement speed is slower than most droids, due to the larger feet that help it keep its balance in the snow
- There is a risk that due to the tighter and stronger grip strength, the barrels of the Twin Twist Mounted Blasters could bend or break completely if not heated properly.
