Sometimes life dealt you a bad hand, The Lady of Charms fleeing pursuit from a mission gone bad found herself making a jump to light speed that had her not picking a hyperlane, or well only the general area, which was rather dangerious. She hoped that this would ensure that those following her would lose the trail, when she found herself in atmosphere, in what looked like a blizzard, her alarms went off because she had made the jump straight into a planet's atmosphere! The ship began to go into a dead spin, and the thrusters despite the powerful fires were getting icicles! Where in the Force was this? How could it be so cold as to do this to her ship or was it that because her shields were down? Whoops.. the shuttle began to spin around and around and Lady Provocatus began to feel green,
"Oh by the Dark.. make it stop.. I'm going to be.."
She held her hand over her mouth as he belched, and then impact, and she was thrown up in the air, her head hitting the ceiling, knocking her cold. The Ship bounced.. it bounced! And was now tumbling down a great Snow Hill, a wing store clean off and it became as if a sleigh, and it made a great hollowed out trail with its nose. It came to the base of this great hill, and stopped, inside, alarms blaring, and the Dark Lady was unconscious..

She awoke to the lights st robbing of yellow, and the cracked front screen, her head was throbbing as she robbed her black scalp and began looking around to assess her wherabouts. She was rather dizzy upon trying to stand, and she began to feel the terrible cold making its way through a crack at where the right wing had been. She began to rub her palms together as she said,
"Burrrrr.. Baby its cold outside!"

The Tundra howled outside, the prospect of going for help could mean freezing to death. Taking her cape, she tried to plug some of the gap, and she began to occasionally fire a bolt out of one of the holes in the roof, this warmed her fingers and would act as signal to anyone of distress. She shivering all over, with her outfit that was well.. made for tropics and deserts, especially at the bosom and thighs. There was no way to turn on the heat, most of the systems were damaged. The Lady of Charms began to contemplate that she may very well die, frozen, and entombed in this shuttle. She putting her hands together as she rubbed them to cause friction and warm herself, her breath as cold vapor rising like smoke said,
"Immortal gods.. I know I do not often pray, I am not much of praying gal.. but if you would see to it to send me someone who can save me from this frigid fate.. I will see fit to pray daily and make pilgrimage to Korriban.. and climb up the Pyramid of the Darklords on my knees."
She then touched her forehead with index, middle, and ring finger to make the shape of an eye, the Eye of Bogan, as she then placed her cold hands on her shoulders and began to shiver. She was beginning to think, why could she not have crashed on Mustafar? It was warm there...

While I'm peacefully chopping wood for my home, enjoying the calm of the day and the physical activity that keeps me warm, the day could have remained peaceful had I not seen what I just spotted in the sky. I notice a spaceship crashing onto the planet. Fantastic, more cleanup work for me. I hear a deafening noise; it must have crashed by now, which means spare parts I might salvage for my own craft if needed.

The small cabin that serves mostly as my tool shed is very useful. I grab some standard equipment in addition to my axe, as I honestly don't expect to find any survivors aboard.

There's an aura that persists, what am I to do with it? A new prisoner of war? A new employee? Or should I simply offer rescue? I'll figure it out along the way.

Among the frozen trees, I follow a small path to the crash site, carrying a small lantern that also helps to keep me warm with its fire. When I arrive, I see the extent of the damage; there's a huge hole in the upper part of the vessel.

"Is there anyone alive?"

Feeling as if she was freezing over, the Darth heard a voice, and she shouted out of the great crack,
"I am here! I am here!"
The prospect of a rescue, meant that she could not command the Force, and she began to tear pen the crack like a tin can, making an opening so that she dropped out into the snow, rising she began to shiver and place her arms around her shoulders,
"Brrrr... I feared that I would perish inside there! Please tell me you have somewhere warm to retreat to?"
Provocatus was pleased that it was a Young Woman, with hair like the cherry blossom trees, a bright pink.
She continued,
"Where is this? I have never felt so cold before.. when I made the jump to lightspeed, I did not know the destination and well.. you see the result."

The Lady of Charms forced a smile, though her teeth was chattering,
"My name is Provocatus, I am most thankful for any aid you can offer."
She omitted her Darth part of her name because she was not sure who she was, nor what the affiliation of this planet was. It was best to be cautious and divulge more later, than risk not getting the help she desperately needed. With all her power in the Force, the elements of nature were stronger because they were constant. A Sith may draw on power, and in time grow weary, the harsh cold wind, and temperature on the other hand could be unrelenting...

I must admit that this view amuses me a little; there's a woman stuck in her shuttle who appears to be a Sith. So many questions for which I have the answers, it can only amuse me given the situation she's in.

She's truly trapped in her shuttle. I approach it and jump up to the hull to see the extent of the damage and the hole through which she's trying to get out. Doesn't she have a lightsaber or something she could use to cut through the metal?

"Step back, I'll clear the way."

Taking my axe from my back, I set my lantern aside and hold it with both hands to have more power to cut through this piece of the ship. I focus in the Force and deliver three precise strikes to the area where there is a hole; now it's big enough for her to pass through without trouble.

Once inside the shuttle, I take the opportunity to look at various elements that might interest me or not, then I turn to her and lean against the wall with my arms crossed as she tells me about the conditions of her crash.

It doesn't surprise me, when it comes to knowing whether there is a warm spot nearby or not, the simple lantern I have with me should answer her question.

"You are here on Valskar. It's a glacial, fairly desert-like planet and sparsely populated due to the climate."

I take stock of the shuttle; it doesn't seem to be in flying condition anymore. With night about to fall, it's a bad idea to stay around unless we want to die of cold.

"Take what you can and let's get out of here. My name is Astride Velvet. And yes i live in here, there are village not so far from this location. "

Exiting the shuttle through the hole I created, I pick up my lantern and put my axe back on my back to have my hands free.

The Lady of Charms smiled at the warmth from the lantern and the promise of somewhere to go to in the middle of this storm.
"It is a pleasure to meet you Astride, I hope you can make the village understand I did not intend to crash here. I am thankful The Force sent someone to offer me aid."
She was not sure what persuasion this Woman was, it was always safe to mention The Force, unless this was a world like that of The Doomed, and The Elders of the Path. She sensed it was not, and so many non-sensitives would speak of the Force in this way as if to say good luck, so it was harmless and gave nothing away, though she sensed this Girl was perceptive.

Joining her on the journey to the village, she tried to stir up some conversation and asked,
"Do you have starships? Is there anywhere I could find some repairs for my ship?"

The prospect of being stranded on this planet was one she tried to put out of her mind. The thought of being marooned on such a harsh world was the stuff of nightmares, and her being a Sith, well she was in nightmare business so to speak, though in truth she was unusual for a Sith, she did not enjoy displaying power through doing harm, rather she was a passionate soul that enjoyed growing in bonds and attachments.

It's funny to see how panicked she looks, but at the same time, I understand her. Being stuck on this frozen rock doesn't offer much of a future. All I have to do is guide her to what I call home through this snowstorm. Luckily for us, I know the path by heart. We're illuminated by the faint glow of the lantern, the only source of light for miles around.

"I've got good news and bad news for you. The good news is that I do have my own ship. The bad news is that there's nothing here that can help you repair yours."

Indeed, the people who live here are quite primitive, like ancient tribes. In my case, I'm completely alone, so there's no one I need to convince to let her into the deserted village.

The footprints in the snow disappear quickly under the relentless blizzard.

We arrive at what looks like a wooden chalet. I push the door open and step inside with her to shelter us from the storm. I revive the fire in the fireplace. My home is a cozy, traditional little cabin made entirely of wood. Only the area around the fireplace is built of stone, so the flames don't spread to the rest of the house.

Once we're settled in the warmth, I sit down in one of the available armchairs and stretch out my hands toward the fire, having placed my axe against the wall it's no longer needed for now. At first glance, she can see I'm telling the truth about the technology here. Everything is outdated, relics of a long-forgotten era.

However, what isn't entirely true is that I do know how to repair this kind of spacecraft. Given that no one here really knows how to operate a ship, I'm the only one who's undergone training as a Dark Lord.

"So, what do you plan to do? Your options are pretty limited, actually. I can either take you to another planet, or I can haul your ship somewhere else to have it repaired. Either way, the tools I have here won't be enough given the state of your wreck."

Basically, I can either tow her or play taxi driver. Those are the only immediate solutions I can see to help her escape this planet.

Once inside the shelter, this savior informs her that there is no way to repair her ship, that she would instead need to hitch a ride from her rescuer to get off world.
"Perhaps we can come to an an arrangement. If you help me get off world, I can offer you something in kind."
She gave a rather whimsical wink as she said that. She meant to be flirtatious, though she would offer even some training if that was what they perferred. The point is she would pay her way off the frigid rock one way or another. She was as Dark Lady of the Sith after all, she had a reputation to uphold.

Provocatus warming herself by the fire, her skin was so cold and her shiver was not quite gone yet. She began to look around in cabin, she saw weapons slung on the wall, and perhaps some sort of beast that they hunted on this world, its head over the mantel.
"Did you kill this? Or was it always here?"
She was trying to make conversation, her Savior was rather direct, and did not seem to prefer chatting much save to make plans. She could respect that, but she was a charmer, and she loved developing bonds more than anything. She told other Sith that she personifies Passion. Though trying to woo this very intense gal into being a friend was not going to easy. Perhaps them working together to get off world might establishes some closeness, either way Provo was going to have her work cut out for her.

The fire in my home benefits both of us as the blizzard outside intensifies. The snowstorm engulfing the village is particularly fierce. It's not advisable to venture out in such terrible weather unless you want to risk becoming a living icicle.

When the question of payment comes up, she suggests paying in kind or offering something else she might be able to provide. It's still far too vague, and I don't fully understand what she means by in kind, though I get a hint when she gives me a discreet wink. Is she making some sort of proposition to become my muse or something like that?

For now, all I want is to warm myself by the fire. She asks me another question about an animal I hunted previously, now serving as a decorative trophy.

"I hunted it," I say simple and calm, my house is typical viking ambiant.

I then get up and start preparing dinner for two instead of one, as it's time to replenish some energy to get through the night peacefully. I'll also need to set up a place for her to sleep, with warm blankets, so she doesn't freeze during the night.

Grabbing a knife, I begin cutting pieces of meat along with some vegetables to make a hearty stew. I add a bit of pepper and salt, then place the dish to cook directly in the fireplace, which serves as everything I need here.

I finally decide to answer her earlier question about the nature of her payment. I am curious how she react to my taunt.

"In kind? What exactly are you offering? Are you thinking of becoming my muse or something like that? Or did you have another ideas ?"

Provocatus gave a smile at how this Pink Haired Shield Maiden adressed her, she had such spirit.

Confirming that the trophy pelt wad hers, she nodded,
"Well met! You are strong arn't you? To live on this harsh world alone."

The Darth found the taunt to be amusing, and felt compelled to reply thus,
"Well that depends on you.. I can teach you the ways of the Force.. albiet not as the Jedi teach,"

There was risk in revealing her hand, that she was a Master of the Dark. Yet Provocatus was not as other Sith Lords, she cared about others, almost infected by the heresy of Jedi compassion, she might even qualify as the most loathed of all, Gray Jedi, and yet she failed to possess the capacity to forsake Passion for Peace. She was a creature of passion, and what this Girl had said to her had stirred some feelings, though she would not presume anything, she prefferred for things to evolve organically. The facts were that this Astride had saved her life, which meant she owed the Icelandic Warrior a life debt, something as a Sith she sought to discharge as soon as possible, and what better way to than to invite her to become an apprentice or at the very least an acolyte. Provo felt that this Girl had natural personality to be a Dark Lady of the Sith one day, though the cost of the dark side was always great. The Price of Destiny always demanded sacrifice...

"When you live here, let's just say you don't have a choice either you're strong, or you die."

If you're not careful or if you don't take the environment seriously, you end up frozen solid like an ice cube. This inhospitable planet is a trial for anyone who ventures here unprepared.

I can't help but smile at the girl's remark. I'm surprised she hasn't noticed my axe yet. It's no ordinary weapon mine is imbued with the Force, and it has a Sith rune engraved on it to help me maintain that connection.

"I think that's a very bad idea because I killed my former master. If you become my master, I'll have no choice but to kill you. I am a currently dark lord you know, i work for the sith order too."

At that revelation, I imagine the woman must be startled she likely didn't expect me to already possess a complete and finished training. As for me, I've upheld the Sith tradition of killing one's former mentor to take their place and become fully autonomous.

In short, I follow the Rule of Two. I already hold the rank of Dark Lord. To demonstrate my abilities further, I use telekinesis to lift my pot off the fire without burning myself, placing it on the large wooden board I use as a work surface. I prepare portions by grabbing plates, adding some vegetables and pieces of meat, and handing her a portion so she can start eating.

"I wish you a good meal. Regarding my offer for payment, we can simply exchange knowledge. I'm sure I have skills you lack, and vice versa."

This seems perfectly reasonable to me. To accompany the meat, I open a cupboard and take out a bottle of mead. I pour her a glass first, then pour myself one and take a sip.

"Nothing beats a good bottle of mead to go with it all."
