Was it 8 years? since she had been here last? no that was to long, her daughter left home around 18 and she was 21 now, meaning they moved from Datooine to Atrisian around 6 years ago. When you were almost immortal time was such a fickle thing to keep track of, 1 year, 1 day, felt all the same given enough time. Even such there were many things that she could never forget, and despite her time on the lush world of Datooine being short she had made many friends here. Only problem was getting their to visits, something she had done a few times in the past, but with the Sith Empire taking control getting access to the world was quite hard. More so with the new Sith Temple that had replaced the old Jedi enclave, there would no doubt be many members of their order that would not be too pleased with her presence.

Thankfully Kurenai was quite the perfectionist as keeping her force signature invisible along with knowing certain ways onto the world that ever the Sith would not know about. Being over 800 years old did have it's perks. Unfortunately not everything was all sun shine and rainbow in her old village, her daughters tale of some cult destroying their old village making her worry for her old friends. Fortunately no one died in the attack, all being evacuated thanks to her daughter and some other Jedi, but their old home, the place they grew up, all destroyed by a concussion bomb. Now those from the village resettled in the mountainous area, a little fearful if those that first attacked came back, but also just to keep out of the way of the Sith. (Reference to another rp were this happened)

It was a long climb, Kurenai having to land quite a ways away from the new town to avoid bringing any attention to it, but it was not really much of a problem. A nice mountain hike to her, though through it all she constantly felt like there was something to keep watch out for. Call it gut instinct or the force but this veteran solider did not trust these mountains.

Thorac sits in the cave that he has called home for the last 5 years. He had been in seclusion in the mountains of Dantooine since escaping the Jedi that had brought him back to life. Flames from a fire he built cast a reflection in his eyes, matching his crimson and yellow irises. Thorac stares into the fire, then closes his eyes, his mind drifting to the constant physical and mental pain he was in. Thorac had become accustomed to suppressing the pain, and even using it to enhance his already immense strength. Thorac's hand moves towards his face, touching the mask that covers over half of his head, a constant reminder of what had occurred 5 years ago. The mask was essentially what was keeping him alive, constantly healing and re-healing the massive injuries he had incurred. Thorac's body was covered in scars, most notably a large scar running up his spine from the implant that connected internally to his mask. Thorac had just returned from a hunting trip, and had taken off his fur collared robe, exposing his sleeveless armor. Two single bladed lightsabers, one on each hip, hung from his belt, lying against his black combat pants that were tucked into his black boots. Thorac's clothes were weathered, as well as speckled with blood. Thorac had spent some of his time in seclusion interacting and hunting the local wildlife. Thorac did not hunt for food, as he did not need, or have the ability to, eat, but hunted for sport. Even though Thorac was well versed in lightsaber combat, he sometimes preferred to fight the creatures with his bare hands, becoming more animal than man at some points.

As Thorac sat beside his fire meditating, he hears what appears to be a ship land in a nearby valley. Thorac stands to his feet, putting on his robe and lifting the furred hood over his head. Thorac walks to the entrance of the cave and peers down to the valley below. A Republic starfighter? Thorac thinks to himself as the cockpit begins to open on the Actis-class interceptor. Thorac had heard of these ships being used in the Clone Wars by the Jedi, yet this one had an odd black and red color scheme. Thorac then observes an armor-clad figure step out of the ship. Though a good distance away, Thorac can see the long black hair of the figure slightly blowing in the wind, as well as a lightsaber on the individual's hip.

Had the Jedi come to hunt down the man who had been known as Darth Virelor? Or had the Sith heard of what happened to his former Master, Darth Moros, and had come to exact revenge? Thorac still considered himself a Sith, though he had not gone by the name Virelor since his self-exile. Thorac did, however, have a strong hate for those who followed his old Master, as well as the Jedi. It appears I have a guest Thorac thinks to himself. This would be the first person he had seen in a long time, and he intended on finding out who they were. Thorac considered these mountains his, and did not take kindly to trespassers. Some of the local Dantooinians had come to explore these mountains early into Thorac's self-exile, only to never return home. Thorac had even earned the nickname "Devil of Dantooine" by the locals who had heard of their fellow Dantooinians' demises.

Thorac watches the figure leave the starfighter and begin to hike up the mountain. Thorac turns and disappears into the mountains he had come to know so well, waiting for his moment to reveal himself to the stranger.

In her years on the battlefield Kurenai could tell when she was being looked at, be it a sniper, spy or any number of things, seemed her gut feeling was right, she was not alone. Though such was not the only thing, she could smell it, another person, their scent different from the animals of the land, the tree and more, it was a human smell, wafting through the crags and outcroppings of the mountain side. Question was who were they? a Sith? a hermit? it was hard to say, but considering the fact they may be following perhaps it would be best not to head towards the village just yet.

Making way to a more level ground Kurenai stood still, waiting for her stalker to make a move, her long black hair flowing in the chilling wind that swept through the area. Lightsaber on belt, knife and side arm within hands reach of each other, the woman slowly resealing her concealed force signature, letting the somewhat darkened grey aura circulate around the mountain side. Though not a master yet she was certainly telling those nearby that this person was not someone to take easily. 'Come out come out where ever you are Sith'.

Would they take the bait? attack, approach? or run back to the Sith temple to report the findings of some dark side user off in the mountains piloting an almost 900 year old star ship.

Thorac watched from the shadows of the mountains as the stranger moved further up the mountain. All of a sudden, the figure stopped below him, coming to rest on a flat carved into the mountain by a millennia of erosion. Now that the stranger was closer, Thorac could see the light bouncing off the female's black, almost bluish hair, as well as the armor and various weapons hanging on her person. Thorac also noticed this female did not appear to be like others he had come in contact with, as she appeared to be possibly taller than he was, and with quite the muscular build. As Thorac analyzed the female, he felt it. A darkness that seemed to be carried by the wind floating towards him, something he had not felt in years. This female was definitely dark side aligned, but something was different about the aura emitting from this person. 'An old soul' Thorac thought to himself as the aura surrounded him. Thorac could tell that the female knew she was being watched. 'Time to introduce myself'.

Thorac used the Force to launch his massive frame from the shadows, coming to land a few yards behind the female with a thud that shook the ground surrounding him. With his furred hood and tattered robe covering his face and body, Thorac rose to his feet from a crouch. "Tell me, dark one, what brings you to these mountains?" Thorac queried with his deep, almost robotic voice.

Kurenai felt the sudden use of the force from behind herself, idly turning towards the source of the dark aura, the persons clothing fitting quite well with the sinister feeling flowing around their figure. The massive cloak around their body being nothing original for Sith, if her assumption about this man was to be correct. His build was nothing out of the ordinary, stature tall, though not as tall as her own, not that is mattered much, force wise defiantly someone to keep a very close eye on.

Her first expectation was a fight of some sort, past events tending to go in that direction and being on a Sith world didn't help either, her hands lightly sliding down her waist in anticipation. Surprising enough the dark brooding figure opened up not with an attack but instead words, Kurenai keeping her stoic and almost emotionless expression throughout the small exchange. It was not hard to notice the almost robotic like tone coming from the assumed Sith, 'don't tell me it is another one of those Darth Vader fan boys'.

"I am just visiting my home, if I am trespassing on some sacred land of yours I apologize, if you have no real business with me that I shall be on my way, though considering you took the time to stalk me there is something else to this no"? One did not stalk their prey so silently to simply give it up upon hearing a vague description.

Thorac removes his hood from his head, exposing his crimson red and yellow eyes, as well as the mask. Thorac observes that the female becomes defensive, her hands moving towards her weapons. "Sacred?" Thorac says with a deep chuckle, "There is nothing sacred about these cursed hills, though they have been my home for a number of years." Thorac begins to walk slowly around the female, analyzing her closely. Thorac had come in contact with several of the locals, and this one did not exactly fit the profile. "You say you have come to visit home, yet you arrive in a ship almost half a millenia old in the middle of these mountains, with the weapon of a force user hanging from your belt," Thorac says, motioning towards the female's lightsaber. "I have come in contact with the locals in the past. They did not last long in these mountains. However, you are...different. I can feel a dark power from you that I haven't felt in a long time. Tell me, what is your name?" Thorac stops circling the female, staring at her with his intense, burning eyes. It appeared to Thorac that the female had landed her ship far away from the local village in fear of being seen. But who was she hiding from? Thorac was aware of the Empire's presence on the planet, but had not reached out to them as he was assumed dead to the Sith. He could feel the dark side emulating from the female, so why would she be hiding from the Empire?

Those red and yellow eyes, very strong force signature, cloak and saber on belt, the staple signs of a Sith lord, but not just any Sith lord, those ones that kept to the depths and isolated areas of a planet, ones that stewed in their hate and anger. In her mind some of the strongest if not unpredictable type of Sith, one could never know what they really wanted or why, only that they did and got it no matter the cost. "I have lost the need to be scared long ago, there is not much that can frighten me these days", a live of constant war and misery making such a reality, for better or for worse.

"I do not see what my ship has anything to do with it, as for my weapon of a 'force user' we both know you can sense my powers, would it not make sense for me to hold a saber"? Her tone more or less sarcastic, though in a dry 'I've had to do this many times' sort of way, a tone that would change upon hearing about the deaths of some villagers, her gaze sharpening. "... Abigale, though I would not know why my signature is anything new, you live on a Sith world after all". When visiting the planet before the presence of Sith at their new enclave being quite the common occurrence, or did he mean someone as strong and untamed as herself?

"Now that is have told about me, what about yourself? you some Sith lord that uses this green world as a private get away? an exile? or just some loan wanderer"? He seemed too powerful to be some mere explorer, no doubt this man had a good amount of training behind him, probably some old Sith knight that may have been wounded in one of the many wars and just has been sitting back, gaining power over the years.

Thorac knew the Sith occupied this world, yet they never seemed to venture this far into the mountains. However, this female's force signature was something different, something...older. "Do you think that I cannot feel that you are different?" Thorac had felt similar auras in the tombs of old Sith Lords, yet this female obviously was not dead. "Abigale...such a pleasant name. I am Thorac, though I was once known as Darth Virelor." Thorac had not gone by that name in a long time, so it even felt odd for him to say it. "I was once considered a Sith Lord, though I am sure the Empire considers me long dead by now." I have been in what one could call a self-exile in these mountains for several years." As Thorac spoke to Abigale, he could tell her mood changed as he mentioned the locals had come in contact with. Maybe she was being truthful that this was her home. Thorac also sensed something else coming from the female. Hunger, perhaps?

[member="Kurenai Yumi"]

Well yes she was different, her force signature while dark was not so much one from anger and hate like most dark siders, more sorrow, dread, a signature built up from a life of misery. "hmmm I am not familiar with your name or title, though considering your age you much have been apart of the One Sith that invaded the core worlds around 20 years ago". It was the best way of reasoning his current dilemma, one could have easily been apart of the One Sith and came here long before the Sith Ascendancy took over. His talk about being dead seemed to have supported this, perhaps he was in a battle between the Alliance and the OS and was recorded dead? How knew, the Sith Ascendancy merge with the former OS military and resurgent empire did mix things up quite a bit. "But enough about, that, what do you mean when you said the local did not last long in this mountain, you don't seem to be one that gets out much, which means you must have had something to do with their deaths".

[member="Thorac Katon"]

As the female's attention went back to Thorac mentioning the locals, Thorac could sense Abigale's anger rising. Once again, Thorac begins to walk slowly around the female, with what would seem to be a grin underneath his mask. "Were those...your people?" Thorac's eyes seemed to glow crimson even more as his mind drifted to what he had done to the poor souls who had ventured into these mountains. Thorac's years of seclusion in these mountains, coupled with the pain and loss he had suffered had turned him almost animal-like. Thorac had slaughtered several of the locals who had made their way into these hills, though they had stopped passing through these mountains after Thorac, in a moment of mercy, let a child, a little girl, live and retreat back to the village. Presumably, she had warned the rest of the villagers about the "Devil of Dantooine" and what was occurring in the mountains. Killing them wasn't for self defense or survival; it was for sport, something to temporarily satisfy Thorac's bloodlust and to take his mind off of the constant pain he was in. "I must say, some of them put up quite the fight," Thorac says menacingly, "but the fear in their eyes all looked the same as my hands were around their throats." Thorac circles the female and comes to rest in front of her, his glowing eyes meeting hers, feeling the anger radiating off of her body, "Would you like to know which ones were cowards?

[member="Kurenai Yumi"]

Kurenia's fists clenched as the crimson eyed man passed around, she knew he was playing on her emotions trying to get a rise, but in this case that is was she wanted to, this Sith would pay for what he did. She had rarely ever cared about others, skipping from one group to the next without much thought and the one time that she settles down, has a family and does something everything goes wrong. This was why she hated Sith, even her own family to some extent, everything that had done to the galaxy, planets people an this person thought he could do the same to her... she was not going to have.

"I do not need to know, because once I kill you and take you head I will show it to my friends and those that are not around will be my witness to who you killed"!! Grasping her knife she made a sudden slash towards @Thorac's chest, her fighting style seeming to lack the usually refined grade, being more brutal, the attack aimed directly at his neck from the start, her own eyes glowing a deep yellow with hatred and pain. "Perhaps I will keep you alive and give you to my daughter to do all sorts of painful things to, she has a knack for torture, who know you may recognize the technique, it was you Sith that taught it to her in the first place".

[member="Thorac Katon"]

Thorac could see Abigale’s body language change as he revealed what he had done to the villagers, as well as her eyes change to a deep, burning yellow. All of a sudden, the female grabs the knife off of her belt and slashes at him. Thorac parrys the attack with his hand, and exclaims, "There's the darkness I felt! Let me feel your hate and anger!" Thorac then launches a straight kick towards Abigale’s gut in an attempt to launch her back.

[member="Kurenai Yumi"]

"You will feel more then my hatred once this blade is shoved into your chest nerf herder", herself reacting to the man kick by twisting her body, said leg missing her by only a few center meters. Following up Kurenai attempted to grab the mans leg, aiming to pulled herself towards him in a body spin and try to shove the knife one more into his body, this time aiming for center mass. She did not know if the man wore any armor but dind't care, regardless if he did the force behind her swing would still carry over some blunt force to it.

[member="Thorac Katon"]

Thorac becomes frustrated as his kick misses its target. Thorac could tell this female was not like the other locals he had come across. It appeared that this one had at least some combat training. The woman then grabs Thorac's leg, spins, and sends her blade towards his chest. Thorac's sleeveless armored top deflects the blade from his chest, but bounces off the armor and pierces through his robe into his left bicep. The knife becomes stuck in his arm, and Thorac backs away a few steps from the woman. Thorac's eye winces for a moment as he pulls the blade from his arm and tosses it on the ground. It was not that Thorac could not feel pain, but his tolerance was sky high. This was only a minor inconvenience compared to the constant pain his body was in. He could even feel the bacta from his implant begin it's enhanced healing process on the wound.

Thorac then rids himself of his robe and lets it fall to the ground, revealing Thorac's sleeveless armor, combat pants and boots, and his massive frame. His clothes are weathered, as well as stained with blood from his encounters with animals and people alike. "You are a skilled fighter, I can tell," Thorac says with his deep, robotic voice, "but you have made a mistake, woman. Now you will die by my hand, and i will go to your village and burn it to the ground." Thorac uses the Force to remove two lightsabers from his belt and grasps one in each hand. Thorac ignites the crimson red sabers while holding them out to the side. Thorac then Force jumps, shaking the ground below him, launches himself at the woman, holding the sabers vertically aiming one at each of her shoulders.

[member="Kurenai Yumi"]

Feeling the knife meet it's mark Kurenai felt a sense of achievement, though inside her more vampiric senses were alerted, the small of blood and the possibility of a nice meal lay in this man if she managed to subdue him. Though such would seem harder then expected as said Sith merely backed away, removing the blade from his body like a mere torn and not a full fledged combat blade, 'seems I am not the only one with high pain threshold'. At least she knew the could not regenerate... could he? such would have to be tested.

Entering a defensive stance Kurenai brought her saber hilt into hand as the man threw away his robe, bearing two of his own, the man body seeming to have been a state of constant war by the markings and other stains littered along the attire. "Skilled, you have no idea who you are messing with, I have faced people like you in the past and that was before I learned more about the force", a blood orange blade of energy springing from the sabers emitter, herself entering a defensive stance as [member="Thorac Katon"] made his attack.

As the Siths sabers came down upon her Kurenai raised her weapon to block, but not before pressing a small button, the end extending outward turning the saber into a pike or Yari. The new extension becoming electrified like a magna guard baton, clashing with the two red sabers, sparks flying onto the dead rocky ground around them. As soon as the full force of the attack stuck Kurenia buckled her legs, attempting to do a back roll and throw Thorac behind herself into the cliff face.

Thorac's blades blocked by Abigale's lightsaber, he sees the woman extend the weapon into an electrified pike. 'Peculiar weapon', Thorac thinks to himself as he feels the female buckle her weight and tosses him forwards. Thorac allows this to happen, launching himself towards the cliff face. Thorac spins around, planting his feet on the cliff wall, and using the Force to launch himself back towards his opponent, all while spinning his sabers in his hands. Thorac falls through the air above Abigale, his sabers angled downwards towards his opponent in an attempt to stab the blades into her body.

Abigail was a spear fighter, if anyone knew her well it would come as no surprised, the little extra system on her saber having saved her skin many times over. As her attack went through Kurenai pulled back, drawing her side arm as the Sith lord returned with the dive attack, herself pointing at the mans face, firing several shots, trying to get him the block. In addition she would send a force push in his general direction, attempting to put more distance between the two combatants.

[member="Thorac Katon"]

As Thorac fell through the air towards his opponent, his sabers positioned to stab the woman, he sees Abigale draw her blaster, sending shots towards him. Thorac moves his sabers to block the shots while still in the air, sending the laser bolts flying into the mountains surrounding them. Thorac also senses a Force Push heading his way from his opponent. Thorac uses the Force to send himself over the push wave and lands behind Abigale. Thorac then rushes his opponent, starting a powerful attack of vertical slashes at his opponent. "You believe all of these weapons can save you? They cannot replace the power that pain and anger can grant you!" Thorac yells as he brings his sabers down upon his opponent, channeling the persistent pain and anguish that his body and mind face into raw power.

Kurenai Yumi

Abigail quickly holstered he blaster pistol, turning around to face Thorac, bringing her saber up to block the heavy handed strikes from the failing attacks. "Says the man what needs to sabers to fight me, if you surely were one to rely on the force you could beat me in hand to hand without any problem". She was trying to edge him on but really meant it, as it stood she was at a disadvantage with the duel saber style, and though her own strength was almost on par with his each strike was intense and brutal. Taking another leap back Abigail shot out her free hand, launching a dark as black spear seeming to be make from darkness, the pointed ethereal object launching towards the Sith pelvis.

[member="Thorac Katon"]

Thorac continued to drop the crimson blades down upon his opponent, with her blocking each strike. Thorac hears Abigale taunt him as she leaps back, putting distance between the two warriors. All of a sudden, the woman launches a spear at Thorac, to which he sends a wave of Force Push to knock the spear to the ground just before it reaches him. Thorac then deactivates his sabers, the crimson blades sucking back into the hilt, and hooks the weapons back onto his belt. "You are full of tricks, woman, but if you wish to die by my bare hands, so it shall be," Thorac says with anger in his voice. It was no secret that Thorac was becoming frustrated with how skilled his opponent was. She was definitely a highly skilled warrior, and Thorac had not fought a battle like this in years. "Let me show you what your villagers felt as I pulled the life from their bodies!" Thorac yells as he begins running at his opponent, the ground shaking under each step. Thorac then attempts to pull the female toward him using the Force, all while raising his right fist with intentions of landing a vicious hook on Abigale's jaw.
