- Adaptation. These units learn. Each is fitted with a Scylla AI which transmits via a series of hidden drone ships or beacons. The encryption is beyond impressive, the signals bounce around so many different assets, that tracking them will make a spies head spin. Not only that but the AI actively attempts to resist tracking or decryption. Sending them to a warehouse on coruscant full of guns and assassins in wait, then a Tatooine cantina with bounty hunters waiting for a payday, and finally, a rimworld arena looking to capture new slaves for fun. Past those ruses, signals eventually end up in a largely unknown nebula known only as P-1A-1 to those few that have seen it and lived. The few ships that enter this remote and hidden area of space, are simply destroyed or have their captains and crew persuaded to die at a later date, usually by the sword or hidden blade.
- Engineered Goal. The Unit is engineered for one task. It does not seek personal glory, or conflict if possible, it seeks the weakening of Braith's powerbase. While this does not make it predictable, it does make it goal orientated and highly dangerous or evasive when discovered. It will choose flight over fight if possible but will exterminate anything and everything in the way of its goal without a second thought regardless. The only exception being force using Sith, which it will evade if possible or incapacitate if not, revealing itself as part of the Kaggath if pressed and asking them to abide by it.
- Witchy Dozen. Twelve there are, and twelve there will only ever be. Although they are intending to give her character a headache, these are plothooks for both her and I to use as and when she wants. Braith has full permission and control over them to use however she sees fit in her story. A maximum of 5 will exist at any one time, as this is semi-unique.
- One Tough and Cunning Droid. This droid is intended to give a very strong force user a challenge. So it packs some punch and often comes in plenty of extra armor and toys on top of its already impressive frame. Though not part of the actual droid model, it does mimic whatever Braith is using in combat, trying to outfit itself in a similar way, and then add extra surprises. Maybe a grenade, maybe crushgaunts disguised as gloves, armorweave for extra protection on top of the frame, personal shield generators, hidden blasters, poisonous darts, or worse.
- Metal Shadows. Nutorium is used to block senors, and there is a healthy dose in this design. The droid will slip right on by most checkpoints. Although not part of the body or design, most of them equip themselves with stealth fields, making this droid especially good at stealth or black ops work. Worse it can mimic voices that it or a previous model has heard! So it can speak like Braith, it can act like Braith but worse it can speak like anyone else TO Braith's confidants and companions, sowing internal disharmony from afar. The longer these twelve are working, the more effective that chaos will be!
- Intelligence. To compete with the best you need the best. Backed up by an ever learning and evolving AI. This droid is smarter than most people you'll meet. It knows how to manipulate, to play people against each other and achieve its goal. Its very patient, there is no rush, no need to eat or sleep, only carry out its mission. If it misses an opportunity it simply leaves and goes to the next, endlessly.
- Ion, EMP and Electrical resistance. Most droids die to a few well placed Ion shots. This one comes with an Ionization Buffer, meaning the buffer needs to fill up first. It'll still die but you'll be shooting it for a while. Darksiders love their lightning, Centax knows this, so along with the buffer, this droid is lined with several layers of rubber, containing air gaps between the layers of it. Air and rubber are two of the best insulators you'll find.
- Toughness. It takes a lot to bring this assassin down even when it is wearing no additional gadgets. Given the fact its endoskeleton is made of impervium, internally metal, and may well be wearing extra armor. When it seeks to simply evade capture, you have to be on your toes to stop it. Tracking it on sensors if you lose visual sight is a pain!
- Metal Shadows. Nutorium to block sensors! Added in with the HRD's ability to wear a stealth field and mimic voices, appearances, and learn via an AI, improving with each model deployed. It is handcrafted to be a ghost, a ruthless killing machine who kills efficiently and systematically from afar or close. Further improving with each attempt.
- Anti Force User. Lightsabers don't do well against this droid, throwing it around or compressing it also doesn't kill it very quickly. The impervium endoskeleton is a pain to bring down with regular force user techniques, worse its probably wearing thin armor on top as well, whatever it can get away with in its disguise. The rubber insulation, the ionization buffers, are all there to stop obvious force user counters or one-shot ion kills. It's intelligence only helps here, it would rather not be somewhere it has to fight in the first place unless fighting is the goal, picking its battles.
- Singleminded Braith Focus. The Unit has one task, to destroy Braith Ma'at Achlys by way of her allies. It will do nothing else, and if spotted may try to escape, though killing her is not beyond its directives to defend itself. Darth Centax wishes that glory by his own hand and would be displeased if robbed of it.
- Impossible to replicate Braith. Beyond a force users aura being an issue to copy. There will only ever be five models in existence at once, and twelve models made. A combination of the impervium metals, the huge cost involved, and the AI's adaptation and learning, only being able to do so much to improve the effectiveness, means only twelve will be produced. You can imitate but some people you just can't replicate.
- Blasters and Radiation. Radiation isn't easy to come by but is effective at scrambling this particular unit's biofiber, AI connection and processing capabilities. What is much easier to come by is a blaster. Given how the Nutorium has been shaped and tempered. A simple blaster will do okay damage to this droid over time, as will sonic weapons, cold, or heat. They will begin to melt, overload, or freeze, the neural connections inside the droid, slowly causing it to shut down. That said often the droid will be wearing tricks and traps to bypass these obvious glaring weaknesses, such as simple armorweave, durasteel or a personal shield generator.
DESCRIPTION
The Kaggath
The purpose of this droid is to assassinate assets important to Braith Ma'at Achlys during the Kaggath with Darth Centax. It will do this remotely by playing those assets or others against each other, as well as directly when required. That is the sole purpose of the twelve HRD's hand-built for this task. Starting with anyone she would choose to lead, her tacticians, or politicians that might be important to her, bankers that might control her finances, traders she uses out of business, or any contacts or connections she might use for information. Assassins loyal to her might find themselves targetted, havens she visited wiped out in accidents or local gang violence, gatherings of non sith force users simply eliminated by an orbital strike from a distance without even knowing why or how.
Any non sith forces she commands, their leadership are what these droids seek to destroy, to weaken her position and leave her more vulnerable, be they civilian or military assets. It will try to do this indirectly where possible, but directly when not. Spies on various worlds via the sithwatch have been gathering data for some time now, and have begun to pass this on to their new handlers. Who those handlers are now, is yet to be revealed.
There is only one rule inbuilt into the droid. No other sith will be targetted or used in any means whatsoever. Because that's a Kaggath rule hardcoded into them. While the droid will defend itself against a Sith assassin for example, it will seek to evade or incapacitate, and eventually state its part of the Kaggath, never to kill force using Sith unless given no other choice.
Created in secret within the remains of one sith and his new allies, at Centax's direction. Though many of the materials and original designs for HRD were stolen from a certain company he has been trying to wrestle control over. A stolen copy of the Scylla AI was the crowning gem in the BRD's implementation. Allowing a self-learning capability, it imploys a series of drones in a network of sorts, to bounce around signals back to the central processing facility at P-1A-1. Which is substantial powerbase for Centax and a risk to use, perhaps a ruse or a trap for Braith? Also however the AI itself does its best to resist and throw suspicion that the signal location ends up elsewhere. A specific elsewhere, happening to be a warehouse full of guns on Coruscant in the lower areas, where some of his best assassins await her spies and agents' arrival. After that, a Tatooine cantina with ruthless bounty hunters waiting for a payday, and finally, a rimworld arena in the middle of nowhere looking to capture new slaves for its bloodsport! Be a pity if a friend or two ended up in there.
The games are afoot. The Kaggath is well underway, and more importantly, it is her move.
