Bad Girl Boogie (PM to join)

Humming softly to herself, Joza continued to sweep all of the glitter into a corner of the room. She’d just finished another practice session, and the fallout from the costumes always covered her dance floor in an array of sparkles and other tiny adornments. Though she preferred for her students to wear comfortable clothing during practice sessions, she encouraged them to wear one of the many decorative hip scarves she kept at the studio. It added a bit of flair and fun to the lesson, but also served to show the dancers how the fabric framed their movements.

“I wonder if anyone will show up…?” Gripping the broom in both hand, the Zeltron stared into space for a few moments. She’d scheduled for a few prospective dancers to come and audition as performers for hire this afternoon and was feeling a little anxious. After all, this was her first business venture. But Joza honestly wanted to teach others the art she’d spent so long perfecting on Zeltros. Given the recent events, dancing was a wonderful distraction from the war that was going on inside her.

Spying a stray scuff mark on the otherwise polished floor, the pink woman practically leapt atop it with a cloth, buffing the spot until it was shiny and clean once more. Presentation was important, right?

The moment Scarlett had heard that Heartbeat House was taking applicants, it had seemed obvious that she put her name down. Even if dancing was just a cover, it was her main source of income and great fun. She'd applied withing the day and gotten a response just hours later - Joza Perl, the woman in charge, had seen her perform before and knew she had the skill to be a Heartbeat House dancer, but to come along all the same so that they could arrange details and possibly to perform anyway, just for fun.

She came to the dance studio in Lianna in regular clothing but she had one of her favourite costumes - red, of course, her namesake and signature colour - in her bag. She entered the studio to see [member="Joza Perl"] tidying up.
"Hi there, I'm here to audition," she said, extending her hand. "Scarlett Orion. It's a pleasure to meet you."

There was so much happening and so many interesting things but when the petite maid had heard there was a dance studio she well had to go and check it out. Why not she had been trained to dance when she was being trained as a maid and was a useful pilot as she brought the honorable in with a small look on her face. She could plot the course there while going towards the landing pad as her fingers moved over the controls. "Now where is it." She could feel the location and had the directions while she was working with it to go over one or two other things getting out of the ship when it arrived. "Should look alright." She was standing there and changing her outfit quickly as the small maid moved through the streets towards the studio. Arriving as she saw someone else was there and the one who had invited her there as well. "Hello." She spoke clearly but softly for her tiny frame and looked more or less like a child in krayt leather clothing and with the two cybernetic fingers from when Felicity had bitten them off before they threw each other out a window on Naboo.

Straightening up as she heard the door open, Joza whirled around in time to see [member="Scarlett Orion"] enter the studio. “Ah, Miss Orion! It’s a pleasure to finally meet you in person. I must say, you’re prettier than I thought, now that I get to see you up close.” Giving the other woman a wink, she didn’t apologize right away for being flirty, unless of course she made the other woman uncomfortable. Either way, Joza was rather giddy at the prospect of having more dancers.

Taking Scarlett’s hand, Joza shook it with a firm grip before clearing her throat. “Now then,” Picking up her datapad, Joza tilted her head towards the only dressing room in the studio. “There’s a changing room over there, but I don’t require any sort of particular outfit while in my studio. Dance in whatever you’re comfortable in.” Scrolling through the datapad, she paused before looking up at Scarlett. “Did you bring music? It’s fine if you didn’t, I’ve got an entire library of songs on hand.”

Her head turned again as the door opened once more, a petite dark haired girl slipping through. “You must be [member="Ikki Ike"]! Welcome.” She greeted the girl with a large smile, clearly pleased to have not just one but two prospective dancers show up. Giving her a mandatory once-over, Joza noted how good of shape she was in. Though she had a little frame, the Knight knew better than to underestimate someone just because they were smaller than her. “Now then, Miss Ike, what sort of experience do you have dancing?”

"Likewise," Scarlett replied playfully. She was already beginning to like her new employer - the party girl side of her was already looking forward to what would hopefully be a steady source of work and a great friendship. "I have music." After [member="Joza Perl"] gestured towards the changing rooms, Scarlett hurried inside and accustomed to being short on time, returned within ten minutes with her raven-black hair in flawlessly tousled curls, her crimson eyes lined with smoky makeup and her glamorous get-together hanging from her curves in the most flattering way possible. That was half the fun of performing to Scarlett - primping yourself until you don't have a good angle that doesn't show.

She tread barefoot back into the studio just in time to see a slim and elegant woman exchanging introductions with Joza. Once they had finished talking Scarlett turned to face Joza. "Looks like you're not doing too badly, huh? Ready whenever."

Ikki looked at the two women as she stood there for a moment speaking when asked about what she knew how to do. She lifted her head up and looked for a post or something to wrap herself around as she spoke. "I used to dance for my masters when not preforming my cleaning cuties." She also knew how to dance and use her slicewire but that wasn't for the studio while she offered a smile though. "I was told I was very flexible by the masters zeltron dancers." Well they were many other things but she had learned a few tricks from them while there. She turned her head to look at the other woman and offered a smile and bow of her head while she remained in place.

As Scarlett went off to change, Joza continued her conversation with [member="Ikki Ike"]. A frown tilted her lips at the mention of Ikki’s masters, but only for a moment. “Are you still under the employ of these “masters”?” She asked sweetly, trying to keep up a professional appearance. Her smile seemed somewhat more genuine as she mentioned the Zeltron dancers. “It seems you’ve already got the Zeltron stamp of approval then.” A wink, and Joza chuckled. The girl was very cute, no doubt she’d be popular. Perhaps Joza would have to send double security when Ikki was hired out, though something told her that the dark haired girl was more than capable of handling herself.

When [member="Scarlett Orion"] reappeared in full dancer get-up, Joza couldn’t help the wide grin that stretched across her face. On one level she could appreciate the other woman’s beauty—she was certainly a looker, and knew how to play up her features. On another level, she appreciated Scarlett’s professionalism as a dancer. The woman clearly knew how to dress the part, and if they way she moved was anything to go by—because yes, Joza had been watching—she’d been doing this for quite some time. A strong dancer would be a welcome addition.

“Ah, excellent.” Joza clapped her hands together in glee. “You can start whenever you’re ready, darling.” Turning towards Ikki, she addressed the younger woman. “Scarlett is a treat to watch. After she’s finished, would you mind showing me some of your moves?”

[member="Joza Perl"]

"No they moved onto other dancers for themselves currently I work cleaning up the Aoi Temple." She offered a smile with a small bow while she turned to watch the other woman. She could do this and after Scarlet went would be just fine as she moved over and set her few things down sitting on the floor with a moment or two of breathing. She remained there and then started stretching as slowly she slid into a Meereenese knot to loosen her body up for dancing to show Joza what she could work with as she was watching and stretched out her legs with a small straining of the leather outfit.

Stretching a little to warm up while [member="Joza Perl"] finished her conversation with [member="Ikki Ike"], Scarlett smiled slightly to herself, feeling confident that she would leave today with a new job at what would doubtless be the hottest thing in the dance industry within very little time. Once she had finished, she quickly set up a slow, oriental track on her datapad and began to dance.

Almost at once, her focus shifted from her audience as Scarlett concentrated on nothing but the music and the graceful, entrancing way her body moved along to it. She twisted and turned fluidly, not a stiff bone in her body, spiralling her wrists and swinging her hips in a seductive dance that had been practiced to the finest detail. Scarlett knew all eyes would be on her, and let it show in her every movement. Confidence had never been a problem for her; if the way a woman moved was so beautiful that society would put music to it and turn it into both a hobby and a career, she reasoned, then she already had everything she needed.

Finishing in a twirl that made her hip-scarf fan out around her and a dramatic finish to the music, Scarlett smiled and bowed.

“I see. Do you like your current job?” While it may have appeared that she was just making conversation, Joza was curious as to the girl’s status. She seemed a bit shy and soft spoken. Still, Joza’s eyes lingered on [member="Ikki Ike"]’s small form as she began stretching, noting how flexible she was.

Taking a few steps back to give [member="Scarlett Orion"] full use of the floor, Joza’s eyes remained fixated on the dancer before her as she began her routine. She figured that a trained dancer of Scalett’s caliber wouldn’t mind a pair of calculating eyes on her—in fact, she’d probably eat up the attention. Most successful dancers flourished in the spotlight, while the weak wilted in it. But the flow and subtly mischievous movements of Scarlett’s dance indicated that she was very likely the former. She moved with confidence but not arrogance, each move sliding into the next one seamlessly. Body always moving, limbs and muscles undulating to frame her graceful figure as she went.

As the dance came to an end, Joza’s stone facade broke into a grin as she clapped her hands together. “Amazing! You’re just what I’m looking for. The job is yours if you want it. And if you’re interested in instructing, I may have need for another teacher.” Glancing over at Ikki, she smiled at the girl. “Alright Miss Ike, time to strut your stuff! Whenever you’re ready.”

"It is with family and I am able to help out as needed." She was speaking while stretching out and watched as she saw the scene of the other dancer impress the woman. A small nod of her head while she stood up and looked at the dance music and stood there for a moment before closing her eyes and letting the music play in her head. She started moving a little while her arms slid back a little with the outfit getting a little looser as she started dancing. Slowly moving and singing to herself with the music in her heads from when she had been dancing with the zeltrons and some of the twi'leks on Ryloth and Chroma Zed. They had been within the Protectorate and Obsidian Order before finding a home within the silver sanctum and a master. She moved there shifting a little as she stayed near Joza with her movements more provocative with some style letting the leather top loosen around her elbow letting some of the scars from the blade Felicity slashed at her with show in the light.

Grinning at her success, Scarlett did a mock bow. "Thanks for the offer, I think though that first I'd like a few lessons from the famous [member="Joza Perl"]." Of course it was true that she wanted to learn from the best, but the true reason was that teaching was too situated to suit her second life and now her training. "I'd love the job - obviously - we can arrange the details later." For now, Scarlett was enjoying [member="Ikki Ike"]'s performance - she was graceful and light and very, very talented. Scarlett was almost certain that she wouldn't be the only one getting hired that day.

“Oh, I don’t know about famous…yet. Giving [member="Scarlett Orion"] a sidelong wink, Joza couldn’t help but chuckle as she allowed herself to ruminate on her possible future success. Truthfully, it hadn’t been too difficult for her to book performances when she was relatively unknown in the galactic dance industry—being a Zeltron had its virtues like that. Gradually, she started to work her way to gigs with a higher payout based on her merit as a dancer. Hopefully, her name would help rather than hinder those under her employ.

Both women turned to watch [member="Ikki Ike"] as she began her dance. The girl moved with an expected grace, but her skill spoke of more experience than Joza had expected. Remaining stone face and impartial as she typically did during try-outs, the Zeltron’s facade broke for a moment when she spotted the scars. A frown flashed across her face, but it quickly dissolved as she focused on Ikki’s performance. Good balance, smooth transitions.

“Excellent work, Miss Ike! You’d make a fine addition to our ranks. I hope you don’t mind me asking, but do you have any relation to Matsu or Orihime Ike? Ah, wait right here!” Giddy at the notion of acquiring two new and highly skilled dancers, Joza pranced off to the hallway before reappearing with a bottle of Naboo red wine and three standard, nondescript glasses. “It’s nothing fancy, but it’s what I’ve got on hand. Care of a drink, ladies?”

She looked at her as she finished and gave a small nod. "Yes, they are cousins and were the ones who found me with my old masters. Brought me to a better place." She said it with a small look on her face gathering her clothing and taking the moment to fully dress again as the small dimunitive girl shuffled to hold glasses for the wine pulling them out with a small trey from her equipment "Thank you for this opportunity Lady Perl." she said it soft and nice with a small bow of her head before looking at the other girl and offering a small smile looking up at both of them. Her interest and some what skill with dacing would give her a chance to improve here now when she stood still.
