Prefsbelt Commander
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
- Intent: To begin Operation RUUSAN on the right foot, with its star prize.

- Permissions: None.
- Links:None.
- Name: Badishahal’curazi [Basic: The Badishah’s Chosen]
- Designation: Non-Sentient
- Origins: Pa’Desh [x]
- Average Lifespan: No life span. It hibernates rather than dies.
- Estimated Population: Rare
- Description: Microscopic parasite would be the term to describe the Badishah’s Chosen. To the naked eye, they are but invisible, but when under a microscope they are a very real presence, latching onto midichlorians in an observable manner, and colonising them. Feeding off of the midichlorians and other microbes found nominally within the body.
- Breathes: None required.
- Average Height of Adults: 0.01 micrometers
- Average Length of Adults: 0.25 Micrometers.
- Skin color: N/A
- Hair color: None.
- Distinctions: The Chosen are identified by the fact they are found feasting on midichlorians, and can be easily identified by their bulbous nature upon them.
- Races: None.
- Force Sensitivity: None.
- Cautious Parasite: The Chosen are a parasitic creature, which feeds off of other microbes but also midichlorians in the blood stream. However, they can go dormant, and halt their feeding of midichlorians if they have sense the hosts midichlorians are on the brink of dissolution.
- Quick Breeders: The Chosen are able to asexually reproduce, and often do so very quickly, managing to manifest themselves in observably 99.999 recurring percent of all midichlorians found in sentient and non-sentient fauna with force sensitivity.
- Sneaky: The Chosen have no real detectable effect on the body, other than helping antibodies in times of disease or malaise. As such, unless found via microscope, they can lie undetected and work without peril.
- Dormant: While the Chosen cannot be studied in sterile environments, they have been shown to be able to live outside of organisms for protracted periods. Being able to live in bodies of water, waiting for a host to ingest them.
- Force Feeder: They only feed on midichlorians. Attempts to adapt or wean the Chosen off of such bacteria have lead to failure. Their diet is solely on microbes found on midichlorians. Nothing more, nothing less.
- Difficult Subjects: The Badishah’s Chosen are not willing participants in research. They die very quickly in sterile environments and as Prefsbelt Command has discovered, they need a live body. Or at a least a simulation of one to survive.
- Diet: Carnivorous, as they do feast on the midichlorians. Not enough to devour them entirely, and can also subsist on other microbes and organisms found within and around the body.
- Communication: The Chosen do not communicate, except for when they are introduced to a body. Once there, the microbes will join forces, and seem to in sync, colonise the midichlorians of a body. Once the midichlorians have effectively been colonised, this behaviour and synced behaviours, stops.
- Technology level: None.
- Religion/Beliefs: None.
- General behaviour: The Badishah’s Chosen have two observable behaviours. Breeding and feeding. They feed on the microorganisms found in the body as well as midichlorians, whom they subsist off. But have been known to halt their feeding on their host midichlorian, in order to allow regeneration.
Not much is known about the Badishah’s Chosen, as the Pa’Deshi never really researched them before. They considered for the longest time, the finding of the Badishahal’curazi to be the mark of force use, given how prominently they were measured on force users of the system. However, after the First Order exiles arrived on the world, and an attempted assassination of their leader, Carlyle Rausgeber, the bacterium was discovered during the autopsy of a local force using assassin. The findings startled the researchers, who initially believed it was a possible attempt to use disease to wipe out the First Order remnants. However local Pa’Deshi auxiliaries and sympathisers confirmed the parasite was ubiquitous on the world, and largely harmless.
The First Order researchers decided to probe further than the rudimentary Pa’Desh research and found a being that was elusive. They lived solely and fed only on midichlorians, but could enter a hibernated state in dirty environments. They were carnivorous and devoured other microbes and host midichlorians, but themselves could not or would not move or eat anywhere else. It perplexed these military scientists, but they were spurred on by Rausgeber to continue. Research was however stifled as the parasite would not live long enough for extended research in sterile laboratories. Nevertheless the Grand Admiral spurred his scientists on, firmly believing that the key to a new and terrifying biological weapon was just around the corner.
The first tests were to see if such a parasite could be transferred to another body and could potentially be harvested for research. Which was found to be the case, with a volunteer from the First Imperial Stormtrooper Corps. However, one human body was hardly enough for mass harvesting, particularly one with a low count of midichlorians. And rather than use others, potentially risking cross contamination with future toxic research and jeapordising much needed manpower, a new target was sought. Some beast or being able to harness a great deal. They found it in Subjects One and Two.
Subjects One and Two, being purrgils, captured by members of the then First Imperial Navy. The Purrgils were fired upon, and with the help of stormtroopers and naval personnel, had their tentacles shot, cut and then cauterised off, rendering the beasts listless in the dark void of space. The Purrgils themselves were then tractor beamed aboard the FIV Venom, where they were promptly lobotomised, removing their hyperspace abilities before being infected with the parasite. Over the course of days, the researchers on what had now been dubbed 'Project RUUSAN', now had two gargantuan sources of the Chosen to draw upon. In order to improve the rates of midichlorians production, the purrgils were pumped full of steroids simulating the birthing process, and allowing them to
Now with a reliable source, research was pushed to seeing if these Chosen could be weaponised. And as the First Order Remnant transitioned into Prefsbelt Command, Project RUUSAN became relentless in its hunt for new subjects. Tracking down force users, and bundling them off to the darkened research labs of Prefsbelt IV, never to be seen again.
