- Space Station Name: Faldos Terminal Station, nicknamed Bailiff Station.
- Station Model: Darkpyre-class
- Classification: Command and Control Station/Central Defensive Bastion
- Location: Faldos System, near the main hyperspace route leading to Faldos.
- Affiliation: Inquisitorial Mandate of Faldos, Sith Order
- Population: Moderate
- Demographics: The inhabitants of the station are fairly diverse and varied, due mostly to the diverse nature of the world that the station guards, but roughly half of the inhabitants are Humans or Near-Humans with a sizeable Zygerrian minority as well.
- Accessibility: Given that the system of Faldos itself is by and large on lock down due to the system's namesake world being in a constant state of occupation and martial law, the Faldos Terminal Station is often more used to turn away visitors rather than accept them. That being said, most if not all traffic from the Sith Order is accepted despite the vast majority of independent traffic being turned away. Any traffic identified as criminal in nature is either detained or simply destroyed in order to prevent Faldos from once again becoming a smuggler haven. Temporary entrance and mercantile passes are available but are rarely used due to the system itself simply not being worth the trouble of acquiring one.
- Traffic: Low
- Description: Sitting like an eerie sentinel in the now quiet system of Faldos, the station looms over the planet it is named after yet stays far away from its orbit and instead acts as the gatekeeper for the hyperspace lane that allows entry into the system itself. Flanked by smaller defensive satellites, a handful of ships, and with its own rather impressive armaments, Bailiff Station is one that can not be ignored by any that look upon it. It is by far the greatest symbol of the Inquisition's occupation of Faldos. While far from the most defensible or powerful bastion of the Sith Order, the protection of Faldos is far from lacking.
- Command Center: The usual Internal Command Center that comes standard to all Darkpyre Stations has been slightly modified, with a greater focused placed on communication and observation as well as general security of both the station and the system itself. A meeting room has also been established, serving as a perfect place for coordination with even an integrated communications connection to allow for instant transmissions to be sent out once an order or course of action has been decided upon.
- Courtroom: Situated in the upper portion of Bailiff Station is, fittingly enough, a courtroom that deals out judgement upon any prisoners aboard the station. The courtroom itself is not unlike most other traditional courts, aside from the dedicated guard towers and defensive positions that allow it to serve as a potential bastion should fighting break out. Prisoners are usually contained in a cage rather than allowed to sit at the defendant's table, with banners bearing the symbol of the Faldos Inquisition lining the room and watching all processions.
- Holding Cells: Serving as the main base of operations for the Inquisition in the Faldos System, a portion of the station's cargo holds have been converted into fairly secure holding cells. Various cell blocks, all of which can be independently jettisoned into space given their sectioned nature, hold the prisoners taken from Faldos and even from other worlds that the Inquisition finds itself working on. Most of these prisoners do not remain on the station for too long and as such there is little in the way of long term holding facilities, but the cells work just fine even if their inhabitants are kept for extended periods.
- Barracks/Armory: Bailiff Station is the primary barracks and armory for the Inquisitorial Troopers of Faldos, boasting a fairly large area dedicated purely to the training and housing of the Troopers. Although said barracks isn't large enough to keep the entirety of the Trooper battalions, aside from the permanent battalion that guards the station there is ample room for two others to be housed comfortably. Additionally an armory and small yet efficient equipment manufacturing plant, both of which are maintained and ran by the Inquisitorial Armory, keeps the station's inhabitants properly armed and outfitted as well as providing a small stream of equipment for Faldos itself.
SECURITY
High
The already impressive defenses of the station have been supplemented and augmented by:
- 3 Arbite-Class Cruisers dedicated to defending and supporting the station
- 5 Tractor Beam Satellites
- 3 Plasma Defense Satellites
- 5 Missile Defense Satellites
- 5 Laser Defense Satellites
- 1 Inquisitorial Trooper brigade acting as a dedicated garrison, with additional Trooper brigades being rotated through the station at any given time
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The station that would one day be known as Bailiff Station began as simply another link in the chain of defenses meant to hold the line against the enemies of the Sith Empire, back when the New Imperial Order was a fresh threat and the Sith-Imperial Armada was still grand and powerful. For one reason or another this station did not see much in the way of action during the Third Imperial Civil war and was simply decommissioned and set aside much like many other assets of the late Sith Empire after it had collapsed and its previous domain scoured by its foes.
There it would sit and fall into disrepair caused by both time and the occasional visit by scavengers seeking to swipe good material and components, but this station would not remain derelict and abandoned forever. Shortly after the Reclamation of Korriban by the Sith Order, fleets loyal to Darth Strosius would begin recovering and restoring various assets that had been stored within old Sith Space and the Darkpyre stations were no exception.
Given that this particular station required the least amount of repair, as opposed to many other recovered stations and ships, Strosius would take it for his own and have it brought to the Faldos system to act as the main defensive station for his world. After a series of refits, updates, repairs, and overall modifications in order to both modernize the station and specialize it for its new purpose as his main command center for Faldos, the station was dubbed the Faldos Terminal Station and became the preeminent feature of the system. It was quickly designated as the official base for the Inquisitorial Troopers of Faldos as well, allowing for a more centralized command of the Troopers to be put into place aside from just the direct commands by Strosius.
When the first prisoners were brought to be held and judged aboard the station, a handful of them began sarcastically referring to it as the Bailiff of Faldos given how it was effectively the capitol of the Inquisition's occupation. Darth Strosius found the title rather fitting and somewhat amusing and had it adopted as the unofficial name of the station, much to the dismay of Faldos's Council that regularly meets with the Inquisitor aboard it.
