Field Trip
After all the ones in the Academy working hard on all there lesson. Even then seeing that there more coming every day to join the order to learn.

Today the would take a trip to one of the Medical center in the main temple on Voss. Still there was a gathering for this class that would take most of the day maybe even a few days to teach. Knowing that Healing wasn't one of those force powers that could be learn once you could be an expert. No how did this one know that only because she was still learning.

That was the reason she had been away on different trips and mission these past years always healing and learn.

Today was a day that Kal'n was excited for. It wasn't often that a Master gave a class dedicated on the applications of healing someone through the Force. Sure, every Youngling had learned it was possible and even learned a little bit of how to do it. Heck even most Padawans training, as far as Kal'n knew, focused more on combat aspects. Especially now with how prominent dark side users and those wielding lightsabers were. So when the chance to focus on something else came along Kal'n jumped on it.

Kal'n was waiting around in the designated area for the 'field trip'. He had spent the previous night reading and watching old holo-recordings on healing techniques. They might prove useful he thought. He stood patiently, lost in his thoughts, head down and hands grasped behind his back. It was these times of peace, simply waiting, when Kal'n's mind wandered the most. Without something to keep him engaged he found himself dwelling on the Force, a sort of impromptu and unintentional form of meditation.

Just so everyone was clear on this, Zak fully intended to be a Jedi Guardian.

He'd attended the healing class on Yavin 4 only because his friend [member="Uri Aureleos"] was a Jedi Healer and Zak had wanted to try and understand just what that was all about. You really couldn't make fun something if you didn't at least try to understand something about it. Comedy required research and material, after all.

He'd signed up for this class only because of some morbid curiosity. Not because he liked it or anything. Because, Consulars and Healers were the Jedi version of nerds and there was no way that Zak was going to get confused with the green saber crowd.

Lightsabers were meant to be blue. And real Jedi were those Jedi who smashed Sith in the face with lightsabers.

See? Everything he needed to know, he'd learned on the Jedi Academy playground. Where the kids apprenticed to Jedi Researchers got bullied and everyone else learned to stay away from the kids voted most likely to fall to the Dark Side (if they weren't there already).

In the middle of all that, was Zak. A Nautolan who really connected with the Force when he could do something physical with it. He had top grades in physical education courses intended to teach the Art of Motion and had already graduated from Form I to developing his bladework in the more complex and unique styles of lightsaber combat. Being so full of energy and always wanting to be doing something, he was the kid most likely to get detention during Meditation class and had the Force Sense of a nerf.

Healing was one of those things you could do with the Force.

So he really, really liked it. And he liked helping people. But he was immature and juvenile enough that the peer pressure to be more like Mace Windu and punch out Battle Droids with the Force and your bare hands left him conflicted between discovering what he liked and what other people thought was 'cool'.

If he was lucky, no one from the playground saw him get on the transport to come on this field trip and he could later explain his absence from class by saying he was at a Makashi training camp run by the Silver Shadows.

It wasn't a lie if it kept you from getting Force Super Wedgied.

Audren was relatively new to the Silver Jedi order. Saecha and Sarianna were two that he did know, but he'd also heard of the many, many others who were a part of or allied with the Order. Much had been said of those who'd been on Ziost fighting: those killed in the battle, the wounded, and those still standing tall. There were many more than three people in the Order, and he needed to start to meet others.

He hadn't signed up for the so-called "field trip" for the purpose of meeting people though. That would simply be a side effect. This trip was to a medical center, and they would no doubt see some of those who'd returned from Ziost. The little research he'd been able to do suggested that the Sephi was more suited to becoming a Guardian than a Consular, maybe with some Sentinel traits in there. Though he'd heard rumors while on Voss of another choice, a Shadow. In any case, Guardians saw quite a bit of combat and this would make extremely clear the consequences of that combat.

It had also sounded like participants would be learning how to heal with the aid of the Force. A part of combat was injury, and being able to heal his own injuries would be useful. Healing others...well, much to the chagrin of his parents, he'd never really had a healer's touch. He'd learned the basics when training to be an outrider - reset a dislocated joint, splint a bone, bandage a wound - and today's training could only help. The next time a call for defenders was issued, he'd hopefully have enough training to respond.
