Band of the Hawk

The Underworld of Corusant was a rather nasty place, giant towers of Garbage shoved from each level that sits atop, just piling up and overwhelming entire City Blocks. It was deep within the Planet, Level 5, just four for the very bottom and the first livable area. Nothing here was of much interests, besides the illness that plagued the population but the Police never came down here, making it a breeding ground for the scum of the Universe. But with scum, comes work, and work comes with money which the Crew of the Hawk were desperately in need of.

The Bar which is traveled frequently here is nothing of great comfort, smoke hangs in the air with a passing rat every few minutes, the floor boards are made out of patched together materials ranging from wood, steel and even plastic in some spots. Wooden Booths and Stools lined the area with a cast of shady individuals.

Chips didn't take long to find himself a comfy corner in a "nicer" establishment on in the Slums, he was leaned back and calm--by drink or by choice his hand rested on his Blaster in case something was to go wrong "I told you Shiv, I put out a notice for a new Engineer. Don't get mad at the fact we need someone else. You can't do everything." his eyes rolled, looking at his Large Wookie friend that stood nearby. It was true, just a few hours earlier Chips put up a notice saying that the "Aluminum Hawk looking for Crew," listing specifications someone might find interesting.

Coruscant, Level 5 Bar, Unknown Time

New day, new life, new work.

Orsolya wasn't a fan of Coruscant and it's wanton ways, but necessary evils and all that. Stepping into the rather greasy saloon, the young cyborg didn't seem very impressed by the locale. The local population seemed to feel similarly about her; they simply stared momentarily with glazed, judgemental eyes, before returning to their drugs, drinks and degeneracy. Let them. She moved through the bar, weaving past the crowd in search of the issuer of the bulletin that had caught her robotic eye.

There. Approaching the booth of the man and the Wookie, she gave the hairy one a stray glance before focusing down on the greasy man, her reason for being here, and began to speak, "I hear you're looking for engineers." Pistons and machinations whirred softly in her arms as adjusted her posture to cross her arms, "Where do I sign up?"

Shiv wasn't pleased with Chips' notice. In fact he'd been rather quiet the entire time. If he opened his mouth now it'd be clamping down on Chips' head. For now Shiv decided to be quiet, the tall tough looking wookiee everyone wishes they had on their crew. Standing besides the booth Chips sat in, Shiv stood with T-21 in hand. Scare tactics isn't something he's new to. In fact, it's saved his hide many times already. He was going to try and stay quiet, but with the cyborg now at their booth requesting work Shiv had to remind Chips of something he tends to forget. "Hrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrg!" ["I'm going to remind you about how terrible you are with women, and how you can't keep your hands to yourself. You better behave if you decide on hiring her."] The wookiee's gaze fixed on her, trying to get a sense of her personality and methods. To him, the cyborg just looked like a kid who decided to leave home to early. He had his doubts for sure, but Shiv is one to only speak when he needs to.

"Now Shiv, why would you say that?" his eyes would roll as he Cyborg approached, but now his greasy smile appeared as the Cyborg approached his booth, he gave a nod to Shiv before turning to her "Ya' sign up right here, love. Tell me what skills do you got?" his eyebrows pushed upwards as he leaned forward his face coming out of the darkness. Obviously, he was looking her up and down but mainly to check out the many augments the Female had.

"Engineering. Technical repair. Some combat, some slicing. Jack of all trades, as they say." She was confident, that was for sure. As for her prosthetics, her arms were prominent -- High-end, but looking a little worn, and noticeably missing the classic synthflesh that most sported. But upon closer inspection her eyes looked altered too, pupils and irises replaced with a robotic swirl that seemed to produce their own light in the dimly lit bar. They locked onto Chips with an intense stare, clearly analyzing him back without hesitation, "Did a few jobs, so I'm no rookie."

"Hggggggggggg!" ["Do you have references?"] Word of mouth is good enough for some people. But for Shiv a display of skill, or others speaking first hand of their skills also works. The wookiee was prideful of his work. Letting someone else with similar skills to his own made him feel slightly inferior. Shiv hated the idea of being only seen as a hair covered body guard. Though he was too prideful to admit to to Chips. The wookiee stood there. Waiting for the other two to continue.
