Bar Hopping [complete]

Rexus had been away from the inquisition for a while, since the empire fell and became fringe property he was feeling a bit down. But it was time for put his big boy boots back on and fight for what he believed in, the inquisition was hitting the final days of existence and it was up to him if it was to go out with a whimper or with a bang. So where else to begin going out with a bang then the planet that never sleeps. Coruscant a place that was genially crappy and smelt of fecal matter twenty four seven, but he wasn't here to enjoy the sights and pick up skanky dancers at bars. He was hot on the trail of a force user that wasn't seen too often in the galaxy but from what intel had been gathered he was a powerful one and as pretty much the senior inquisitor of the fringe he had his job to do and bringing the man down and back to atrisia. His chase lead him to a dive bar in a local district known for its bounty hunters and more disgruntled crowd.

Walking into the bar he scanned the area for his target, he wore standard clothes dark grey coat and flat cap. He looked like he blended in with the crowd and sighed as he continued to scan the crowd to see that who he was looking for was not here. Perhaps he sensed him coming and took off, stepping back outside and into the ally Rexus continued to look around and sense for his target.

"I hate my job." Taking out a cigarette Rexus light it up then took a long drag. "Sorry Jen, bad habits die hard." Exhaling the smoke he kept his imperial knights saber next to him as he always did and remained alert even as he took in the smoke from his cigarette.

Dim lights set the mood of the bar. The room itself was alive with swirling smoke and the gibberish of clashing dialects and languages, creating a cacophony of noise. Gamblers played their games and waged credits, their blasters dotting the decisions like periods at the end of a sentence. Each thought could very well be their last one if they were accused of being a cheat. Dancers and their curvacious shapes cast shadows upon the floor and the customers at the bar whom all had a glazed over drunken look in their eyes hooped and hollered at the flesh on display. Obnoxious music played in the background of it all like a white noise amongst laughter and bitter shouting.

Off in a corner sat a fully armoured man who seemed to share no interest in the shenanigans of the patrons of a lower walk of life. His helmet illuminated and shimmered in the weak lighting, casting a dull glow around his person. He'd be sitting in an upright, lounged position as he merely watched all the others enjoy their time in such a scummy and devious establishment. A waitress walked up to him only to be dismissed right away, showing his lack of concern with what was the day's special. The normal activity continued as he watched the newcomer enter the bar, as did a few others who were paranoid of some money they might owe to a bounty hunter.

He knew someone was coming, and he did indeed feel it. All he had to do was wait for the right moment.

Smoking his cigarette Rexus thought back at everything he had seen at the bar. "Okay there was a few dancers, and a some gamblers, couple of drunks." Pondering Rex took another drag then exhaled the smoke into the night air. "bartender and a few gutter sluts." Pondering and tapping his chin he sighed blowing more smoke from his lungs. "There was the band." Still picturing everything in his head Rexus finished up his smoke then flicked the bud away into a nearby puddle. "Then there was the creepy guy in the back with full battle armor in a civilian bar." Thinking again Rex tapped his chin for a few moments as his brain struggled to connect the dots. "Am I just getting sloppy or are my sources gone ba-" letting it hit him like a ton of bricks Rex face palmed and sighed. It really didn't need to be stated on who the target was but now he was pretty certain who it was he was tracking.

"I hate my job." Walking back into the bar Rexus scanned it again and saw the man he was after, it was time to move in and engage. But first it was time to get everyone out.

Being a mentalist Rex reached out and gripped the minds of the people inside the bar and hinted that it was raining credits outside. And with that the flock of people ran out the doors some being stepped on in the process but the bar was clear of the lesser minded people. It was just Rex and armor dude now. Grabbing his knights silver saber he clutched it and lifted his other hand and extended and joined his fingers to form a knife hand at the man. "You're coming with me." He said to the man, he had seen him before on O'reen and it made sense why he was hunting him. He was a traitor and he needed to be brought in. @[member="Zius Aurus"]

Zius sat calmly, picking his head up to observe the man whom requested his attention. Was this it? The Fringe hadn't done a very good job at securing the idea that their target may be able to escape; however, this was possibly one of their top-of-the line. Zius probably wasn't even that important to them anyway, probably just wanted him dead.

"Alright... where are we going? Because I'm rather comfortable sitting here. So if you plan on saying something worth my attention, speak up or piss off."

His arrogance shined through like a dying star, smirking behind his helmet as he shifted himself in his seat. All the others trampled over each other in a rather amusing display of foolishness and sheep-like easiness of being led on by a trick of the mind. He even let out a weak chuckle under his breath as two men began to beat each other over the mystical rain of credits; probably being more money they would ever get to see in their criminal lives. Short life expectancy for such a risky line of work. After the small bit of entertainment had vacated the room, he let out a sigh and casually placed his hand over his own lightsaber, tilting his head at the man.

Well this was just the freshest of daisies, rude, arrogant, and cold it was the trifecta of douchebaggary. Didn't matter to though, he was almost accustom to such things. "I'm gonna skip the come with me peacefully cliche so lets just get to it, just give me a minute to stretch." Holding his quad back Rex began to stretch out and limber up doing a few warm up exercises, you could mock him all you wanted but when you cramped up in a fight that was on you for not stretching. After a minute of various stretches Rex picked up his saber and held it tight, activating it with a snap hiss the silver blade shined in the darkness of the bar lighting up the area around him. Lifting up his free hand he swayed it to the right clearing up the floor by pushing the tables and chairs to the side leaving a ten meter space of beer and other bodily fluid stained tile. The floor was gross to say the least but it would do for fighting and it probably wasn't the first time it had seen action

"Come and get some nancy." Holding his saber in a formal kento stance he stepped to the opposite end of the bar before reaching out with the force to close the few doors that bar did have

Standing in his kento stance he kept his eyes firmly on his opponent, if he dashed he would follow and track him down. If he attacked he would defend himself and if he stood there and made my smug comments he'd gladly start cutting a few appendages until he got the message that he was coming with him. Rex wasn't the greatest if force users but he wouldn't back down from doing his job. The man wasn't that important to the fringe but he still had a job to do

Zius slowly got up from his seat, taking a few steps forward. His composure was confident, that much was obvious. He reached down at his hip and pulled free a curved lightsaber, twirling it skillfully in his right hand before pressing the activation to give way to the appearance of a crimson red blade; compliments of the Empire when he once served their cause. He entered a Shii-Cho stance as he stared the apparent hunter down with a great deal of focus. Knowing this was a more enclosed space, he would rely on a more aggressive approach with the combat form, to become unrelenting and merciless.

Suddenly Zius burst into a Force speed induced charge coupled with his enhanced body, simultaneously grasping a nearby table with his TK and attempting to slam it into the side of the Fringer as he would follow up with a vertical slash directed towards his chest, striking with a hefty deal of strength behind his blow. Hoping to do away with the threat rather quickly.

Staring his opponent back with every glance of intensity Rexus drew small circles pacing back and forth keeping his eyes on his foe. He was going to keep on his toes and fight him and bring him in, all that was needed was for his opponent to make the first move. And that happened rather quickly, the man burst into a force dart across the floor. He was coming straight at him and Rex was prepared to counter, however a table came and slammed into him throwing him a few meters to the ground. The thick jacket took the brunt of it but he still could feel a few of his ribs being bruised from the massive Durasteel table. It didn't end there though the man came at him with a slash aimed at his chest. Lifting up his saber Rexus quickly reacted and clashed with the man's crimson blade. As the sparks flew from the connecting blades Rex coughed and prepared to fight back. He had to get back on his feet and in a hurry being against gravity never tended to work out very well.

"Cheap move!" He said before taking his free hand aiming at the armored Nan's chest. Tapping into the force around him he grabbed a few nearby chairs and flung them at the man it was to at least distract him for what would come next.

As the chairs flew towards the man on top of him rex focused his hand as if it were a buddhist palm flat and open. Taking aim at his opponents chest he fired a force push a few inches away from Zius to make another attempt to push him away and back across the room so he could renegage in a saber fight. He was using the environment to his advantage and so Rex needed to do the same, this wasn't some sparring match on Atrisia this was a real fight and he intended to come out of it alive victor or not. @[member="Zius Aurus"]

The thrill of the battle was already picking up, and Zius found it -very- entertaining. His inadvertent offense had caught the man off guard-- splendid; however, as he went for the chest it would appear he had been able to intercept the strike with a block that saved his life then and there. Sparks dripped off of the connecting blades, bouncing off the durasteel suit of armour he was donning like a miniature firework show. Suddenly he could feel himself being thrown back by a Force push, along with getting to greet a chair as it intercepted him mid-flight with a significant amount of brutality. He managed to stop himself by latching onto a nearby wall with his blade-tipped gauntlet of a left hand, swiveling his head to glare at the daring Fringer.

"Whining is what gets you killed. Shut up and fight."

Zius didn't much care why a representative of the Fringe would come all this way just to track him down. Surely they had better errands to run rather than seek out a renegade? Just like the Empire, always having to go stick their nose where it doesn't belong. He'd make sure this man didn't walk out without a message to send back to his masters; blood shall be spilled this day. He dropped from the wall he clung to, slowly walking forward once again a couple paces before coming to a halt. He looked around the room for a moment before charging back into the opponent. Just as he would near him, he'd quickly drop to the ground in a sliding-type fashion, attempting to knock him out from under his feet. He'd then follow up with a quickly plated fist to his chest as a means to slam down with enough force to disturb his natural heart rhythm and to complicate his ability to fight.

"That's what your mama said last night." With a small jest Rexus refocused himself and prepared to push back and fight his target. He himself wondered why he had been assigned to track down this man but he was going to do his job to the best of his ability. Gathering himself he pushed back into a kendo stance and prepared to make a counter attack then again the man came at him quickly and with great ferocity. In a sweeping motion the man quickly came at Rex and knocked him off his feet once more, getting reaquianted with his old friend the ground Rex felt the sticky booze stained ground ruin his new coat. It would be another solid twenty credits to buy a new one. Rex had to act fast or he was done for, he had already been put down and needed to get momentum going again. His opponent was going to come in with a strike to take out his chest and he couldn't let him get a big hit like that this early into the fight.

Reaching his hands up Rex crossed them in an X and took the hit. The forearm in his left arm cracked a bit from the hit and he could feel the hairline fracture in his arm, flinching from the pain Rex would of taken a broken arm over a disrupted heartbeat. Luckily the bone wasn't sticking out but he could feel that something in there was broken. He was a left handed fighter so he would be able to bounce back.

Rolling to the right Rex quickly sprung back up and came at Zius like a bar out of hell. With a large boot the man aimed a kick directly at his face before following up with a downward slash to the man's right arm. He wanted to cripple the former fringer and take him in. The inquisition was tasked for these sorts of jobs and he was going to take him in or at least give him a few marks to remember him by. All he needed to do was land a few hits and get back on the offensive before the local forces came to disuse the situation. But knowing the neighborhood there were in it would be a while @[member="Zius Aurus"]

He ignored the childish comment, paying none of the taxation pressed forth by his meaningless words. It would appear his attack was more or less successful, but not in the entirety he'd desired. Zius felt the slight crunch of he man's bones as his plated fist connected with his arm, smirking behind his helmet at the pain he inflicted. He refused to allow the Fringe the satisfaction of defeating him, despite the battles he had fought on their side with the belief that power and realization of his destiny would finally be his to grasp. The roar of greedy men continued on the outside as they still fought each other over the imaginary credits.

The man he attempted to strike in the heart had acted rather quickly and appeared to be able to hold his own, regardless of the injuries he was sustaining. As he rolled to the side and retaliated with a boot to Zius' face, it would be successful; however, the lightsaber would be blocked by his own crimson one. He jumped back and continued to stare at the rival, exhaling slowly.

He needed to make this quick if he wanted to be successful. No hesitation. The man was part of the Fringe collective, after all. Zius let out a menacing metallic roar as he focused his TK on the objects within the room, forcing chairs and bar-stools and even tables to be cast at him all at once in a spectacle of intense vigor. He was done playing and wanted nothing more at this point than his certain death. Zius then cycled back to charging at him once again with an intense pace, acting as if he were going to use a Force push; although, it would be a bit more than that. He concentrated on using it as an improvised battering ram, attempting to smash into his body and send him flying into the wall-- it wouldn't end at that either, he'd continue his fury, trying to follow the offense with a singular thrust aimed at the Fringer's throat.

Death was the only answer for this man to find. Nothing more.

Watching his boot connect to his face Rex knew it didn't do much damage, he was wearing armor after all and he wasn't. Armored opponents usually beat non armored opponents. But petty things like that didn't bother Rex, he had done plenty of fighting over his years in the service of the galactic empire. As a storm trooper and as an imperial knight, so now as an inquisitor he had picked up the tools of the trade that he needed to take people like him down. Stepping back he still remained in a kendo fighting stance dispite the hairline fraction that was on his right forearm. If it had taken more damage it could cause a full blown fracture and possibly even some bone protrusions. Then his opponent started to get clever, taking the chairs and tables in the room he spun them around Rex attempting to take him down with it. He wasn't about to get taken out by crappy bar furniture. Reaching down inside himself Rex pulled the force around him channeling it and letting loose a massive repulse to send the furniture flying back against the walls and out a window here and there.

Panting from the large force move he had unleashed it was safe to say it drained him slightly but it was worth it to keep from getting ganked by furniture. "That all you got stacy? Gonna have to do better if you- OH GLOB!!" While he recovered the man came at him like a battering ram shoving him into a wall. Colliding with it Rex coughed and yelped slightly from the hit

But it wasn't over then, Zius' saber was headed right for Rexus' neck and that was something he had to get out of the way. Years in the infantry made him more or less used to being shell shocked and he could refocus himself quickly so he could stay in the fight. Moving his neck and head to the blade danced over his shoulder burning the jacket he wore as well as some of the skin under it. The burning pain coursed through and shocked him back to full alertness. Rex could see a soft spot in the armor Zius wore, the neck was a gel layer by the looks of it a small space where the helmet didn't attatch to the armor. "Throat punch!" Taking his right arm he summoned up all the strength he could to throw a punch directly into the Adam's apple of Zius. It would hurt his arm more but he needed to get out of being pinned against a wall. @[member="Zius Aurus"]

There it was. Zius faced his foe at such a short distance, ready to sever his head from the rest of his dedicated Fringe-serving body. A mind is a terrible thing to waste, but for what it was worth, this so-called inquisitor hadn't planned this out very well. The armour-clad Ex-Jedi Hunter was caught off guard by the abrupt shout which even named the move his opponent was putting to use, taking the fist into his throat. Zius choked up for a second and felt a strong aching pain in his neck, letting out a guttural growl as he pushed himself through the successful blow.

Daring move for an even more provocative man.

Zius arched his helmeted head back and then slung it forward as an attempt to headbutt Rexus with a substantial amount of force, and should he note the elongated piece of the durasteel which jutted out like a horn, he could only imagine what kind of pain was about to come his way if the attack were to be a success. What could be said that hasn't been stated already? That only one of the two was going to be walking away? That Zius held such a deeply rooted distaste for anything Imperial or Fringe at this point? The only correct answer would be yes. He would make damn sure a message was to be sent back to whomever directed this bloke toward his location.

Do or die.

The punch had worked in disorienting his opponent for a few moments, he took this moment to deactivate his silver blade and send it back into the hilt. He had to attack him somehow and they were still in such tight spaces together. He could feel the bone in his arm fracture and break. The arm was pretty much shot and he had no choice but to go one handed in this fight. Taking the deactivated saber he brought it towards himself and got ready for his attack on the man. However this was when things got painful, the man was moving in for a headbutt with the spiked helmet a move he couldn't dodge at this close of range. So he did what he had to do. The arm was already shot so there was no point in protecting it further. If he was going to take him down this was what needed to be done

"NOT THE FACE!" Sticking up his right hand the spike from the helmet impaled his hand taking most of the momentum from the hit. Slowing his head the blade sticking out the other end of his hand cut into the flesh of his cheek leaving a rather nasty cut across his face. The pain was extraordinary but he had to keep fighting. This was do or die and he was going to bring in the traitor to see if he had leaked any information to the CIS.

With the blood running down his face and hand Rex summoned what strength he had and gripped onto the man's helmet with the impaled hand. It wasn't a very strong grip due to most of the bone and muscle in the hand being destroyed but it would serve its purpose for what came next. His job was to bring in the fugitive alive, and that's what he was going to do. Attempting to pull Zius into him Rex placed his saber directly against Zius' gut away from the spinal chord and activated it. It was positioned in a spot where it wouldn't kill him but it would serve the purpose of hurting him badly @[member="Zius Aurus"]

Zius grinned as he observed the blood running down the visible display on his HUD. He was so close to killing this fool and being on his way, but it would appear he had some fight left in him. With all the lacerations and the now broken arm, it probably wouldn't be too much longer of a fight. Especially after the severe mangling of his hand. That's when he noticed the Fringer actually grabbing his head with intentions unknown; what exactly was he hoping to accomplish in his crippled state? Make Zius blind? It was beginning to feel disingenuous now, this battle. He'd hope for more to come from the Fringe.

That's when he felt the sudden tug of the man trying to pull him closer-- not happening. There had to have been a sly reasoning behind why he deactivated his lightsaber, and Zius wouldn't fall for that trick so easily. Even he himself had used such a strategy at one point. During the struggle of the partially broken inquisitor, the former Sith would break away from the grasp with presumed ease and would attempt to slice into the man's guts with a single horizontal slash, and then another attempt by bringing the crimson blade up and down over his head as a means to an end.

This farce had gone on long enough, or had it?

Well that crashed and burned pretty quickly, as his plan had failed Rexus was hurt bad but he certainly wasn't out of the fight. He had fought for three days on a combat deployment with three slugs in his leg. He could get past this. Although it looked dark the former imperial knight still had a few more tricks up his sleeve. Jumping back dodging the swip to his guts Rex missed the blade by a few inches, looking up however Rex could see the incoming slash coming down at him. Using his one hand he gripped the saber and blocked the hit, watching the sparks come down he held his ground for a few seconds before backing up to escape the close quarters engagement with the man. He needed to consolidate then get back into action. Taking a moment Rex kept his eyes focused on Zius and moved to the bar.

Once he was there he grabbed a rag and wrapped it around the bleeding hole in his hand. As a healer he could close up the would but he couldn't waste that kind of power right now. He had limited amounts of energy and his foe had yet to even be injured as greatly as he was. "Okay Stacy, you want to play like that we can." Sighing Rex flinched in pain then focused his power.

The thread was called bar hopping and he didn't intend to stay here much longer. Darting forward using the force Rex's speed increased and he went to tackle his opponent through the wall and outside so they could have a different change of scenery. The armored opponent would go through pretty easily and most likely not take much damage since he was coated in durasteel @[member="Zius Aurus"]

And so, the fight was kept alive with the determination of the Fringer. Zius had to give him credit for having such a strong morale, unbroken by the persistence and animosity of the durasteel-clad man-slayer. He was amused to see that the man had the energy to shrug off the attack, but something even more bold was about to slam into his reality, and quite literally too. Full of himself, he watched the man tend to his wound, lacking the empathy to care for someone who possibly might have a life.

Since Zius had nothing better to do, he could have the thrill of knowing he'd be breaking potential loved one's hearts and shattering families. By that logic, their tears and grief would be his sustenance and would nourish his barbaric hunger.

Suddenly there was a discrepancy in Zius' daydreaming as the inquisitor barreled into him with brute force, pushing him back and through the very wall of the bar. There he lay on the ground, staring upward into the cloudy night sky of Coruscant with one thought in his mind.

This man keeps making mistakes.

He was definitely dazed and a bit bruised from being rattled within his own suit of armour, letting out a groan as he picked himself up with the realization that he was now outside and could have a bit more... fun. As he regained his composure, he tightened his grip on his lightsaber and entered his Ataru stance; something he'd grown quite proficient in during his years of fighting and frequent use.

He locked his gaze onto the assailant once more, waiting.

Quickly hoping up to his feet Rexus eyed his opponent in durasteel armor and activated his knights saber's silver blade once more. With a snap his the blade extended from the hilt and shined brightly under the cloudy night skies. His hand was still destroyed due to his opponents armor but he didn't need it to keep fighting. "You are coming with me, one way or the other." Spinning the blade in his hand it whizzed through the air before Rex took up his own little stance. As the blood dripped down the rag on his hand he really didn't look all that threatening. He was hurt and bleeding but you had to admire his unwilling relentlessness to do his job. To him this guy was just another job and another force user to take in to see if he had leaked anything. In truth they weren't going to kill him or see him hung, just interrogate him to see if he had blabbed.

Focusing the powers at be called the force Rex held out the hand he clutched the saber in and threw a few metal garbage cans at Zius. He needed to fight the man and see to it he was crippled to his level. As the silver cans flew at Zius Rex pushed inward and came at the new Templar with a few slashes and thrusts, he was on the offensive and he threw blows at him he knew he could block.

Keeping up his assault of constant slashes and stabs the idea was to have a more advanced saber fight instead of the normal he made a hit then the other guy made a hit cliche. He wanted this to be an actual saber fight where constant blows would be made between the two being blocked and countered. To watch the sparks fly and use the skill both warriors had no doubtable picked up over their years of service and fighting.

@[member="Zius Aurus"]

Garbage cans? Is that all he could do? Laughable. As the metallic cylinders flew his way, Zius leaped into the air with significant agility, his gaze fixed on his target as he would then come crashing down like a ship being shot out of orbit. Rexus' attempt at a charge would have proved useless since the Templar had gone airborne and would soon be raining upon him with crimson saber in hand, intending to thrust into him and break his body with the kinetic force of the fall combined with the weight of his armour.

If the inquisitor could react or move quickly enough, he'd do well to retaliate with haste; however, if he were to be courageous and fool-hardy, then his fate may as well have been met in brutality. All else seemed to be pushed out of Zius' mind as he focused all his energy and attention on killing this pest whom didn't seem to understand personal space. His instincts kicked in, all the work the Sith had done to create an elite hunter was coming to light with such aggression and tenacity. No one would have Zius, nor would he allow himself a prisoner anymore.

When would the trail go cold? When would his past cease this pursuit and reminder of what he was created to do?

Well this was not good at all, the armored man dodged everything Rex through at him by simply jumping up into the air. Having not for seen this Rexus looked up and saw the man come down at him. With a quick dive Rex jumped out of the way moving quickly as to not be crushed under the hit of the giant armored man. Who even wears full armor in a civilian bar? Seriously who did that?! The force of the armored man hitting the ground caused Rex to soar a little further from the shockwave and hit the wall slamming his back into it. "Son of a!" Slamming into it Rex rolled to the ground and lay in the garbage of the alleyway. Coughing he was starting to get a bit woozy from the blood loss and other damage to his body. While his opponent had suffered only minor injuries. Grasping what small strength he had left in himself he had to get out of there. There was no way he would win in his current state.

Standing up on his feet a bit woozily Rex looked at the man in armor who had been throwing him around for the better half of an hour, focussing everything he had Rex tapped into the force and sent out a massive force blast at the man. It was enough to drain him completely and leave him capable of running off to get to a hospital and be done here. The blast itself pushed through dumpsters and garbage alike. If it hit the man it would be just about the equivalent of getting hit by a small speeder.

Aiming to knock Zius across the street and into the bar across the street Rexus needed this to work, without it he'd be weakened and worthless in a fight. He was a mentalist at heart and destructive force powers drained him greatly. He had lost here and it was time for him to make his escape to the stars after his opponent was disposed of for a few seconds.

@[member="Zius Aurus"]

Zius watched his opponent falter in humiliation as the shockwave from his landing had sent him into a heap of rubbish to further add insult to injury. His ragged cloak flapped gracefully as he observed his prey and how he appeared to stand even now after being defeated, or so it would appear. There was no point in upping the ante if this game were to be one-sided. Perhaps a bit more fairness would have been in order? The tables soon turned as the beaten Fringer had unleashed an unexpected wave of energy which, to his success, knocked Zius back a good ways and back into the bar.

His escape would be one out of few that ended with his life still in his own hands, whereas the other predicaments involving combat had left the Ex-Jedi Hunter's victims in a gory spectacle of overkill. The townspeople suddenly snapped out of their trance and looked around, almost as if nothing had happened. All of them shrugged and went their separate ways and back to their normal activities as Zius picked himself up out of the rubble of the slightly wrecked bar, walking back outside to gaze into the direction of the escaped failure of a captor with a weak smile behind his helmet. His cybernetic eye managed to hold a truly wicked and sadistic nature despite it not being his natural eye. The very essence of the man reeked with a foul disgust of only having care for war, and this opponent did not quite match the intensity he was used to.

He showed weakness. Above all things, he ran.

Victory was in Zius' hands.
