In their continued explorations of the systems surrounding the Deep, the Agents of Chaos have encountered the isolated world of Sweven, home to a thriving magocratic civilization which is ruled by a number of baronies and Force-sensitive monarchs. Up until two years ago, the world was untouched by any known galactic power.

However, with the arrival of the Ssi-ruuk, who were reeling from the devastating economic effects of their recent invasion on the First Order and the subsequent counterattacks, the planet and many of its people have been placed under the subjugation of Ssi-ruuk Imperial authorities, who seeking to exploit the wealth of the planet for their own nefarious ends.

The Agents of Chaos, after carrying out a few preliminary surveys, scouting expeditions on the planet’s surface, and a number of meetings with local leaders to ascertain the gravity of the situation, have arrived on Sweven with a large contingent of forces, seeking to drive the Ssi-Ruuvi Imperium and its greedy puppet rulers from the planet once and for all...

f11fDL9.png
The Wild Hunt, the primary ground-based military arm of the Agents of Chaos, have been deployed to the world of Sweven in a number of operations, with the objective of destroying the polluting Ssi-ruuvi mines and freeing the enslaved natives from them in the process of doing so. These objectives are to be accomplished with no civilian casualties, and as such, the Wild Hunt has been ordered to strike quickly in order to ensure that the Ssi-ruuk have no time to create a potentially dangerous hostage situation. To that end, a number of military vehicles, recently procured from RMIA, have been deployed to aid in the assault. In effect, this will be a combined-arms operation, with potentially multiple theaters of conflict as the Wild Hunt works to purge the Ssi-ruuvi presence from the planet.

The main cast of player characters, along with a veritable army of NPCs, will be deployed where the fighting is heaviest, within the dying Galad forest, due to pollution and environmental contamination from the nearby mine. Their objective will be to reach the Afaal'ith mine, where they will rescue the enslaved miners before destroying the entire mining operation. In the forest surrounding the mine and within the mine itself, they will encounter heavy resistance in the form of Ssi-ruuk infantry, military vehicles, and even artillery. Nevertheless, they are expected to prevail, as success will have a particularly deleterious effect on the morale of the Ssi-Ruuk forces since the mine is the largest on the planet.

In addition, feel free to explore other theaters of the conflict, if you so desire!
Xb1DOc2.png
The battle above the planet of Sweven will be just as bloody, chaotic, and violent as the engagement on the ground, if not more so. The Ssi-ruuvi Imperium has arrived in the system with a massive fleet, seeking to reinforce their forces on the ground. In doing so, they will attempt to run our formations in order to land troops, combat vehicles, and other military assets. Stop them at all costs.

In addition, the arrival of a Ssi-ruuvi dreadnought in the system has spurred fears that the Ssi-ruuvi will attempt to negotiate with the lives of civilians on the surface with the vessel’s massive axial antimatter cannon. Able to withstand seemingly impossible levels of punishment, the best way to disable the vessel and its cannon will be a multi-pronged assault with a concentrated boarding operation supported by a large starfighter presence. Before all else, the primary objective will be to disable the cannon, in order to ensure that the Ssi-ruuvi can not leverage Sweven’s population in an attempt to create a more favorable outcome when the Armada inevitably destroys their forces.

sjTWde6.png
Rumors have spread that the Ssi-ruuk have mines set in the deserts of Sweven, under the aid and protection of one of the local baronies called the Solar Protectorate. The Protectorate’s Baron, Maxir Halcard, has been under surveillance by both spies within and without his territory. Intelligence suggests that Halcard has brokered the deal of a lifetime with Sweven’s Ssi-ruuk oppressors at the steep cost of the lives and welfare of his subjects and men. Baron Halcard protects the Ssi-ruuk’s mining operations with his men and keeps resistance to raids at a minimum through the use of force and the Ssi-Ruuk get to exploit the people of Sweven as slaves and unpaid laborers in their mines.

Travel to Zephyr, the capital of Sweven, infiltrate Baron Halcard’s stronghold, and dispatch the corrupt despot before the planet descends into further madness and ruin. Avoid civilian casualties at all costs and execute any that would stand in your way. Expect heavy resistance in the forms of troops and technological defense platforms and systems. If possible, free the enslaved citizens of the Protectorate and get them to support ships for evacuation. In the name of Discordia, peace shall reign again.

bt3b7Ve.png
Aid in stopping Ssi-Ruuk oppression and look to strike a deal with Baron in the mountains of Sweven who leads the Pentacle Enclave, Aidoneus Vale, to secure a trade deal that will profit the Agents of Chaos in their goal of reconstruction following the battles with the Confederacy. On Sweven, the Force is Power. Those who can use and manipulate the Force are viewed as gods among men. Seek out the Witches of Sweven, known as The Nirviot, and seek to reason with them as the central magickal bastion on the new world.. Tests may arise to prove your worth and good intentions, complete them and gain Baron Vale’s trust to reach an agreement. Time is of the essence.

Slicers should strive to disable the mining facilities’ power to halt production and transport times. Cripple the mines, you cut off the Ssi-Ruuk… temporarily. Buy time from Hunters to reach the facility and cut off the dinosaur’s resource farming once and for all. Shut down the local electricity, intercept cargo transports, and return the stolen resources to the people.

Sweven has yet to be subbed. This is the discovery thread on which part of the history of the planet will be based. In addition, graphics will be coming soon!

Happy RPing!

The coordinated and organized application of violence was an art in and of itself. It was a skill and a practice that above Ivixa’s pay grade, but she was nonetheless expected to play her part, however small, in the complex gears of a war machine. While she had taken part in training exercises which simulated the deployment of many diverse military assets concentrated within a single area, it was somewhat different seeing it live. There was an increased sense of urgency, an anxiety permeating within the air which hinted at the fact that this operation represented a culmination of all of the efforts by the Agents of Chaos in the past weeks to chart out and fortify the systems surrounding the Scintilla. It also represented a new frontier for the Agents of Chaos, pertaining to their ability to project power across the galaxy on a broad-scale. Ivixa was a small part of that, both figuratively and literally. Regardless, like all of her brothers and sisters in the Wild Hunt, she was a strong and determined soldier, prepared to bring the judgement of Discordia’s divine mission to all empires and authoritarian states in the galaxy.

As she stepped out of the
Sandhawk-class dropship with her squad, Ivixa had her arms at the ready, wrist weapons primed to fire in anticipation of enemy contact. Fortunately, her sensors only registered distant unknown signatures, meaning that the enemy was likely entrenched deeper within the forest, preparing to fight was sure to be a bloody battle in defense of the largest mine on the planet. Every man and woman who was a part of the operation had been told in their briefings that this was where the fighting would be heaviest, whether they were infantry, Force-users, tank crew, speeder jockeys, walker pilots, or even flying air support. By the end of the day, it was estimated that there would be thousands of casualties in the Galad forest alone. Nevertheless, their objective was to take the Afaal’ith mine by the end of the day, in order to ensure that the Ssi-ruuk were less capable of effectively deploying a potential wave of reinforcements.

As expected, the temporary peace in the forest which transpired as the forces of the Wild Hunt landed in the forest did not last.

It began with a rocket strike from what Ivixa could only guess was from a missile launcher of some kind, which struck an LT-6 on the hull, bringing the tank to a halt as its shields flared to absorb the impact. Almost immediately ensuing the strike, the sound of distant gunfire cracked in the air, which was punctuated by a sudden strike from a sniper, which blew off the head of an unlucky Hunter in a brutal spray of red mist and viscera. With a single thought, Ivixa activated her shields, pulled her sniper rifle from the magnetic strip on her back, and sprinted quickly towards cover as the battle erupted within the forest. In seeing the headless body of the Hunter as it collapsed onto the ground, Ivixa immediately knew what her first responsibility was, which she had to accomplish before doing anything else.

She needed to find and eliminate the enemy sniper.

Attention all Silencers,

The Agents of Chaos has discovered a new world called Sweven. It is under attack and currently being oppressed by nearby Ssi-Ruuk forces. Intelligence given to the Agents of Chaos in exchange for aid reports of a Baron in the deserts of Sweven that is spearheading the efforts of cooperation between his planet and the foreign invaders. This Baron extorts his own and gives them to the Ssi-Ruuk as slaves.

Free the people of Sweven and cut off the head of the snake.

Coordinates are being forwarded. We move as one.

May Discordia Guide You,

/ / CLOSING TRANSMISSION

Those were the Chaplain’s only words to the Assassins of Discordia before boarding his personal ship, The Emulous. Those that would aid them would follow. Those that did not could stay behind. Some Silencers accompanied him on the ship, as was expected. He was sure that the others would find alternate means of transportation.

Now, as the planet came into view, the Epicanthix turned to address his comrades aboard The Emulous, relaying the message over a closed comm to Silencers who chose to bring their own vessels. He regarded each of those present in turn, the large sword seemed to grow heavier and heavier the longer it stayed on his hip. “You all know why we’re here. To cut a few heads off of a few snakes, figuratively and literally. The Baron we are after runs the production and factories of the entire planet. His name is Maxir Halcard, 37 years of age and in his prime. One of the youngest Barons on Sweven,” A gesture of the Lord’s hand brought an image of Baron Halcard up in front of him on a holoprojector. “The Sun Protectorate practically owns Sweven, in all but title. The Baron of the Protectorate has seen fit to sell his people into slavery and sentence those who oppose him or this decree to the mines under Ssi-Ruuk rule. His soldiers protect those mines and the interests of the Ssi-Ruuk with their lives. Our mission is simple. Kill Baron Halcard, cut the head from that snake, and launch our remaining forces to free the enslave Swevenites.”

The people of Sweven regard those who are Force Sensitive as gods that grace the Galaxy.” In truth, that was the reason he wore such elaborately crafted armor. It was his newest set, but it would service the purpose of making the seven and a half foot tall man even more imposing. “Break off into two groups. The second group will infiltrate the stronghold and wait for the signal. I’m sure you all know this phrase by now. The other group will follow me directly through the city, conceal your weapons. They will not harm us.” A motion from his navigation officer told him they were nearing their destination.

Strike fast and true. Free the people of Sweven and they will welcome us.” He cut the comm frequency to the outlying ships. “Head to the decontamination chamber at the rear of The Emulous, we’ll exit from there and split off into two groups on land.” Kyrinov nodded again and turned to head to the chamber, hoping the others would follow lest they get lost in the halls of the vessel.

Only a few minutes passed before a hiss! was heard, followed by a brief plume of smoke as the ramp descended to touch the sands below. The Sith stepped out and stepped into the blinding light of a scorching sun, taking in a deep breath before turning to see the Silencers descend as well. Once more, the Chaplain only nodded to them and began to walk towards the reddened rocks formation that appeared to have been carved out to make stairs leading up to the main streets of Zephyr. If any would follow him, they could move on their own accord.

They’d come to Sweven for liberation and before the next sunrise,

The sand would be drenched in blood.

Lash

Meteorite Shower

Lash stood on the command pedestal of the Vertikat watching a video feed from the newly discovered world. Sweven was so remote and isolated, there was no record of it in the Ascendancy archives, well at least his copy. He had not been able to access the Chiss Ascendancy data node in nearly ten years. That the chaos forces found it was astounding. He imagined they must have stumbled across it accidentally.

The Vertikat had just finished her trials when the news of the world and the Ssi-Ruuk had come in. Lash had not even returned to the shipyard to finish her commissioning or loading out her hangers. Lash knew if the Ruuvi were part of this he would be needed. He and his forces had fought the sauros race before. They had been a thorn in the side of the Ascendance for thousands of years. The reptilian scourge of the galaxy knew no limits in their cruelty and preyed on the weak enslaving them for their ravenous appetite for conquest.

“Commander, Five minutes to reversion.” said the Chiss admiral standing next to Lash. Lash nodded without looking at the man and continued to stare out into hyperspace. Unlike the majority of ships Lash had been involved in building the Kertikat had an upper bridge with large view ports open to space. It had the standard command and control bunker buried deep inside the ship where the main command was located. Lash had wanted a place where he could stand and look out into space. A place he could see with his own eyes the enemies he faced.

The bridge was a standard imperial design with the sensor and console stations sunken down into pits on either side of the walkway. IN the center a hexagon sat with a waisted holographic table and five thrones. A central throne was raised a bit for Lash located in the central section of the hexagon facing out towards the large forward portal. IN the upper arms of the hex sat two more thrones, two per side, for his commanders. Lash rarely sat in the seat preferring to stand at the front of the hexagon and look out into space and concentrate on his thoughts. He seldom got to spend any time doing so as he was always being interrupted by someone needing something.

Music played through the bridges comm system for the crew to hear. Lash insisted on having the music playing, it was therapeutic, at least for him. Music and sound in general could teach you a lot about the galaxy. The sounds animals made, the noises the stars made, the music the sentients made. The sounds of the galaxy held the keys to understanding these things. To know something one had but listen to what it was saying.

“Sir, WE have reports of a Ruuvi dreadnought in the system. It seems to be threatening orbital bombardment.” said one of Lash’s commanding officers. Lash turned and walked to the controls of the holographic table.

“General, Admiral, as of our last transmission-reception this is how the system looks.” said lash as a hologram appeared. The primary of the system lay at the center of the hologram. Sweven sat in its orbital along with other satellites and debris throughout the system. The image magnified to show the general area of Sweven. Around it, small icons appeared. One had been labeled Alpha One Lash pointed to the icon and began speaking again.

“This is our target, The large vessel has some sort of axial weapon capable of bombardment on a massive scale. I have seen this weapon before. It had been long ago as a sub Lieutenant. It uses some form of anti-matter neutron beam. I had taken what I knew of the device and reverse engineered what I could when I designed the Mjolnir neutron cannon. It can rend large sections of the planet with little to no defense against it. The Mjolnir cannons we have aboard are more powerful than their variant but Theirs can recharge much faster. They do not have the security measures and safeties we have. They are as likely to blow themselves up as they are to fire on the planet. And they have lacking targeting systems for a beam that powerful.” Lash paused, looked at the jump timer counting down then back at the hologram.

“It is my intent to draw their lizards aggression and attention onto us. Once we drop out of hyperspace the escorts will fall behind us and prepare to launch their fighter wings. We all know fighters are how you fight the Ruuvi. We have all fought the lizards before. We will have our wings pull their drones into crossfire patterns from our escorts point defense systems. The Vertikat will support with its own point defense and offer long-range fire support as we move into range to use the Mjolnir cannons. We pull them away from the planet, give them something to fight, and once they realize the error we will unleash all ten cannons in one alpha strike barrage.
“ Lash paused again and looked at the timer. “It is time,” said Lash as he walked over and took a seat in the command throne. His commanders likewise sat and watched the streaks and swirls of hyperspace disappear and the world of Sweven appear before them.

Fleeting People! Open!

This was Domino's first time fighting against the Ssi-ruuvi but she'd studied up on them, their ships, and tactics extensively once she knew they'd be facing the lizards out in the unknown regions. Even going as far back as reviewing the outdated records of Bakura. Now she was bearing down on their latest conquest with twenty eight ships under her command alongside a Chiss admiral as she tried to put aside her performance anxiety. It'd been years since she'd commanded a large fleet and most of those under her command were relatively unknown to her. There was a vast gulf between studying specs/working maneuvers and actual combat.

Deep in the command bunker of her Endurance Carrier, Domino snuggled deeper into her comfortable form-chair as it adjusted to the new contours of her body and checked her suit's connection to the air-supply. If they lost oxygen she didn't want to scramble before cutting into the suit's reserve. "Five minutes out," the XO informed her and sounded the final general quarters alarm as they'd discussed. Across the fleet gunners were busy removing the last of their safeties as pilots finished up their checks and strapped into their fighters. Most of the crews were already at their stations, bulkheads were closed and exterior compartments depressurized to prevent the propagation of explosions as the last of the preparations were completed.

Upon revision to real-space, the fleet was already in formation and launching fighters before the screens had even cleared so they could form up alongside their capital homes. Anchoring the fleet's mid-point was Domino's carrier, ahead of it some ten thousand meters and forming a vertical triangle were the three battle cruisers. Two high, one low, flanked on either side and behind by a pair of the star defenders holding five thousand clicks away from them placing them just over eight thousand-six hundred from the carrier. Behind the line ships were five pairs of the corvettes waiting to swoop in and plug gaps or supplement screening for the large ships. Around the fleet and filling the space between the ships the seventy squadrons of fighters and eighteen bomber squads settled. Of the White Glint frigates, well they were stealthed and would stay that way as they moved at flank speed from behind the formation masking their translation signatures and began spreading out in pairs.

He was trained as a warrior. Being a soldier was a transition that Conn had to learn after leaving the Jensaari. That grasping that new form of battle was fast tracked when he joined the AoC and the Wild Hunt. He took to it more readily than even he expected, and he attributed that to the unique nature of the Hunters. They were, more accurately, an army of warriors. A vastly diverse collection of talents and skills, Formations and drills weren't their thing. The Hunt was true to its name, a horde of highly lethal fighters driven by devotion to Discordia's ideologies.

Stepping off the ramp of the dropship, Conn took in the surroundings. The forest seemed ancient, as old and gnarley as an old crone. It was a blessing and a curse, with innumerable positions of cover, as well as points for ambush. He knew out there were the Ssi-ruuk, the nefarious reptiles who had come to exploit the planet.

But they were quiet at the moment, allowing the Hunt time to disembark the drop ships and coordinate the armor and vehicles. Units were forming up, and Conn caught sight of the compact blue-skinned sniper he had recently befriended. He began to make his way towards Ivixa when the first rockets streaked into the deployment zone.

All ran for cover as a tank was rocked with the impact of a rocket against its shields. Conn leaped behind a repulsorlift of supply crates. When the echo of the rockets ceased, a single crack split the air and a Hunter a bit off to his right lost his head. The scout carbine was unslung from his back and poised in firing position as he scanned the forest ahead with the scope.

He caught a glimpse of the Asa'Nyx hustling for a good position, knowing Ivixa would be seeking to plug a hole in that sniper. Conn preferred a much closer field of combat, and hand-to-hand most of all. Delivering death at long range was the buxom Ivixa's thing. He moved ahead in a low crouch, a ways behind the sniper and to the side, hoping to give the Asa'nyx a chance to find concealment and provide cover without give her position away.

There was dark presence among the gathered hunters. One visiting a dark place in her mind as the large woman sat in silence behind the helmet she wore. Herself and the crew she worked with on her own vessel were former slaves. Had been since she could remember. Faces haunted her whenever the subject came up. Pained, blank expressions of others like herself made to work, fight, and perish under the hand of those that sought work for nothing. Controlled the lives of others on a whim.

Threw away people as though they were garabage. Even Ivixa Nera'kas Ivixa Nera'kas 's presence had not been enough to remove Sasmay from the dark swirling decent into hatred for these oppressors.

Even when she had bit her tongue and tasted blood, she continued thinking of her silent and building rage. Her eyes stared well beyond the floor of the dropship they rode to the surface. A strike group quietly forming around her when the doors opened and she looked about her in silence. The familiar snap of a weapon followed the rocket strike, taking another hunter down beside her. There was little regard to the person that fell. The beginning of a large and gut wrenching number that would fall here today.

There was no hope in her. Only a flickering, slowly growing flame of rage that threatened to consume her as boots scrambled around her. Incoming fire forced her to make a crouched run towards the enemy line. A terrible feeling in her gut that she focused on emerged, darting to the side as a large rifle round punched the air just off of her shoulder. Her lips curled into a snarl as the helmet projected her voice. The inhuman roar of pent up anger, bitterness, sadness, and ill-will emitting from her in a roar that even a rancor would be proud of as she and a handful of others began to beat a path towards the enemy line.

She was the aspect of dreams. The people enslaved here would have their dreams once more. Would freely dream of a better life without the whip of another over them. Without fear or death looming over them. The occupiers though. They would see the other side of the dream.

They would see the nightmare that Sasmay did in her sleep.

From that moment, the battle within the forest began in earnest.

Tanks and Wild Hunt infantry advanced forward, many tossing grenades as they did, moving towards the entrenched lines of Ssi-ruuk soldiers with the objective of neutralizing them so that they could reach the massive Afaal’ith mine. All the while, with a few mental commands, made easy due to the integrated neural interfacing device in her armor, the Dream Sight’s primary data-brain began to scan for the sniper via the surface-mounted micro-photoreception array. Within a few moments, it registered a positive identification on the sniper. At three hundred and fifty meters out, it would be a hard shot, especially since with each moment she took in acquiring the target, the more likely it was that the sniper would be able to kill another Hunter.

And so, Ivixa moved quickly in placing her rifle in a supported position. Then, she processed a few mental calculations and acquired the target within her sights, utilizing the mil-dots and the rangefinder to guide the placement of her crosshairs. Hearing the distinct whip-like sound of a high-powered projectile, Ivixa immediately realized that the sniper had taken another shot. Fortunately, the noise indicated that he had failed to hit a target, but it nevertheless gave Ivixa the sense of urgency she needed to line up the shot.

Holding her breath, Ivixa made a one final adjustment before squeezing the trigger.

The projectile rocketed out from the barrel of her rifle with a soft hiss that belied its power and capacity for destruction. Only a moment later, the saurian sniper’s head burst in an explosion of green blood. Ivixa gave a sigh of relief, although there was still a massive and dangerous enemy presence in the area that sought to do the same to her.

Now, she had to make sure that they would never have the chance to.

Angling her rifle towards the enemy lines, Ivixa quickly scanned her scope across the entrenched Ssi-ruuk lines until she came across her next targets. Aligning her sights slightly above the head of a saurian blaster cannon operator, Ivixa held her breath, then fired once more. In seeing the green mist produced by the projectile as it struck the creature’s skull, Ivixa aimed for the next target and squeezed the trigger to produce a similarly gruesome result. Her objective was to take out as many of the blaster cannon operators as she could in order to clear the way for the infantry advance into the entrenched Ssi-ruuk lines, and in doing so, she didn’t intend to let any of the overgrown lizards escape from her sights without giving them a round to the face.

“Prepare for disembarkment!”

The pilot shouted over the comms as the Mark I Jammer sped through the void of space, surrounded by a formation of escorting starfighters as the craft dove for the hangar bay of the Ssi-ruuvi dreadnought. The specialized electronic warfare vessel was one of many boarding vessels which were carrying contingents of Wild Hunters and marines who were tasked with boarding the massive vessel and disabling it from within. However, the vessel that Chassella was on had been marked for an elite team which was composed of many of the best fighters within the Agents of Chaos, including assassins, mercenaries, and various fighters with exceptional talents in the Force or close-quarters combat. They had been tasked with the objective of disabling the dreadnought’s massive antimatter cannon from within, in order to ensure that the Ssi-ruuvi could not leverage the lives of the people on Sweven in an effort to obtain a more favorable outcome for themselves. Having emerged victorious over the Confederacy of Independent Systems at four different systems, it was almost inevitable that the Agents of Chaos would do the same against a rogue warlord element of the Ssi-ruuvi Imperium. In order to ensure minimal or ideally, zero civilian casualties, it was paramount that counter-terrorist operations were initiated at the outset of the engagement, to prevent a hostage situation that could potentially be wagered with millions of lives on the line.

Fulfilling one of the central goals of the Eight Arrows Sect in supporting Discordia’s divine mission, Chassella had chosen to join the boarding team. Within the close-quarters of a starship, Chassella knew that she could put her martial talents to good use. Even so, the team would almost certainly meet extreme resistance on their path to the main axial cannon.

The ship shook around her as it came under fire from the point defense batteries, but it was only moments later that it crossed the threshold into one of the massive hangars of the dreadnought. Moments later, the ramps folded open and Chassella found herself entering the fray of blaster fire and explosions as she leapt from the ship onto the deck...

The din of battle erupted after the initial rocket strike and sniper attack. The seething hum of blaster bolts and the seething hiss of projectile rounds sang around the Hunters as the boom of heavier weapons punctuated the conflict. Conn kept his sight on his Asa'nyx friend until the compact sniper found cover and set up to do her job.

He had seen the heavy gunner move up a bit off on the other side of him, the somber woman from the dropship who now was hidden behind her helmet as most of the AoC infantry was, though her was different than Conn's standard haywire headgear. She was an impressive one, armed to the teeth with heavier weapons and possessing the physique fit enough to bear her armory easily.

The ex-Jensarri heard the veteran soldier bellow and surge forward, a number of their comrades joining her. Sasmay, and he recalled her name, had a presence that was almost palpable, her conviction in dislodging the Ssi-ruuk from Sweven strong and contagious. Conn crouch jogged to her position and moved forward as well, his carbine lifted and snapping off bolts as opportunity arose, catching a few of the reptilian defenders as they popped up to return fire. Several vehicles slid forward behind them as well.

Conn noted the enemy's heavy weapons were having a hard time staying manned as the familiar crack of Ivixa's rifle blew a hole in one gunner after another. A stray bolt grazed his shoulder, his armor mitigating any real harm by the power of the searing blaster bolt halted his momentum, but only for a moment. He just needed to get close enough to do what he did best, cut things apart.

Fleeting People! Open!

There was a tense moment as the two fleets squared off, jockeying for position. The Chaos fleet gliding to slot in above the Ssi-ruu, trying to pin them into the planet's gravity well. Naturally the lizards responded by launching their own small craft and turning to meet the emerging threat. There was another fleet flying the Agent's colors, but they were holding position, waiting their opportunity. Or so Domino hoped. Highlighting a target, the new Admiral sent it out over the tactical net. One of the dreadnought's capital consorts towards the flank. "We'll focus our fire and drive more of them between us and that monster, until then the battle cruisers can take the hits." She really hoped they could, if not she'd have to rotate them back and disrupt the line of battle.

Another set of command strokes had a quarter of her fighters pull back as the front lines engaged the oncoming swarm. They were where she wanted them though, right where her screening ships could support the remaining squadrons with the support of the Guardians' small guns while their tubolasers focused on the capital ship target. Once the skirmishers met, Domino enacted the second part of the plan, sending the held back fighters to escort a flight of bombers arcing around to the far side of the Ssi-ruu formation of capital ships.

As they headed out the third prong of the attack hit. Ninety thousand kilometres from the fight a quartet of energy torpedoes appeared from empty space and raced towards one of the enemy cruisers. A second and a half later, they struck immolating the shields with the fires of plasma. Less than half a second later another quartet from a different direction struck the ship gouging deep into its structure to burn it from within. The stealth frigates barely registered on the scanners before they'd reengaged their cloaks, disappearing again as they re-positioned. The enemy commander wasn't stupid, they'd realized that if left to their devices these stealthy ships would pick apart the defending ships from range, and so they'd dispatched a formation to deal with them.

The return snap of a round told her all she needed to know as the sniper fire began to emit from their side of the field now. Ivixa was a wonder in many ways, and the Dream appreciated it. Even if she wasn't able to take the mental side step at the moment to make a note of it. The thunder of their boots across the ground as grenades went off in a cacophony of measured death ahead and behind them. There was a hunger in the Dream that only these foolish beings ahead of her could satiate.

She seemed to command the forward charge, her presence manifesting in something that anyone force sensitive could feel as her feelings from before now moved with her like a wall. The soldiers beside her thankfully had donned the gear to ignore the effect of a building force rage, but the Ssi-ruu did not seem affected by the wave, more stricken by the tenacity that the being leading the charge had and the continuing sniper fire.

A grenade was lobbed by the Dream, flying surprisingly far as it fell well behind the first entrenched line. The Gas grenade exploded, and the surrounding area became an alarming scene of slowly building hysterics. Laughter from the saurian's emitting as the woman leapt forward and became a human wrecking ball into the first entrenchment. Soldiers followed behind her, the initial firefight of soldiers in close quarters becoming a symphony of various weapons as a pair of Agents with shatterguns cleared the breach Sasmay had spearheaded.

The lizard beneath her hissed as a firmly planted boot had it's faced planted against the top of the trench and the lmg pressed into it's armored belly. The trigger pulled, rounds initially doing nothing before heat began to build on the focused piece of armor. It punched through with time and claimed the Ssi-ruuk, but the tell tale click of empty had her dropping the weapon instead of reloading and pulling out a hand cannon. She rolled backwards, activating the shield in her suit as the nastirci knife came out in the other hand.

One shot from the hand cannons rang out as a Ssi-ruuk aimed down the hallway, face melting into goop as Sasmay rounded the bend and found another waiting with blaster raised. The hand cannon snapped upwards, forcing the other barrel skyward as the nastirci was jabbed into their armpit. A nasty display was made as the repulsor-tech inside the blade did it's work, the green splatter covering the woman as she moved again to begin around the bend again. Another gas grenade was readied, and her focus was so tightly wound on the enemy that she had tunnel vision, not realizing she was cutting herself off from the agents soldiers still clearing the area behind her.

The tanks quickly ripped through the lines of the Ssi-ruuk forces via a combination of devastating firepower and sheer presence. While the Ssi-ruuk had brought their complement of vehicles and a few light tanks, the firepower and armor of the Wild Hunt had quickly overwhelmed the smaller Ssi-ruuk vehicles, forcing them to retreat towards the mine or be rendered in burning hulks. The suddenness of the Wild Hunt’s and Armada’s invasion of the Sweven had left the bulk of the Ssi-ruuk forces on the planet unprepared. Without any reinforcements, they would almost certainly fall to the combined forces of the ground and air-based assault fielded by the Agents of Chaos.

However, if their military might failed to make them dangerous, then their desperation would quickly compensate for the deficit in firepower.

Sasmay and Conn’s aggressive charge into the entrenched lines of the Ssi-ruuk was quickly met with desperate and determined resistance. While many of the Wild Hunters around the Aspect of Dream had joined the wrecking ball of a woman in her initial charge, they were quickly beginning to peel off in order to cover their increasingly vulnerable flanks, made all the more susceptible as the Dream punched a green-blooded hole through the saurian lines. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t be long before the Aspect and her squad found themselves facing a veritable horde of bloodthirsty Ssi-ruuk, each hoping for the glory of slaying the terrifying female creature at the forefront of the Wild Hunt infantry charge.

From her relatively concealed position, Ivixa did her best to support them in their aggressive assault. Taking full advantage of her rifle’s high rate of fire, the diminutive sniper squeezed off one precise shot after another. With two quick and clean shots, she cut down a pair of shotgun-wielding Ssi-ruuk infantry as they closed in on one of the Wild Hunter’s in the Dream’s squad. She took full advantage of Sasmay’s gas grenade as well, taking shots at three of the saurians as they fell into fits of morbid laughter, which were promptly silenced by Ivixa’s shots to their throats. Sensing that those within the gas were largely contained, Ivixa turned her attention to the ones who were outside of it, who still posed a threat to the Dream, Conn, and the rest of the advancing squad. A pair of shots cut down two saurian heavy gunners as they turned their fire on them. Taking aim at another one, Ivixa squeezed the trigger, only for her rifle to sound a distinct click, at which point Ivixa immediately moved to load in a fresh magazine...

The galaxy had changed much over the past ten years since her departure from known civilization. But not as much as one would imagine. Wars raged on, governments and Empires rose and fell; becoming the norm for the galaxy. Once, many passing moons ago, her belief system and loyalty entwined with those that mirrored the same philosophies and ideals she still endures to adhere; only now ten years later and a few weeks of shouldering off the rust, her loyalty rides a new steed, yet her heart will forever beat to the war drums of the Sith ideologies burned and bred into from her former....mentor.

Zipping along in her ship,
Aries XIII, toward the ancient lands of the Nirviot, she was prepared to dazzle and mystify these witches with feats both haunting and unnatural to the normal, common citizen. Her mentor taught her well. However, she was a Silencer, a Priest among them, and it should have been only fitting she joined them on their crusade here; but sharp, well placed words could open deep, unhealing, and fatal wounds far more precious than a dagger, blade, or lightsaber could inflict, and she possessed a manipulative tongue. Though she wasn't here to kill anyone per se, less provoked, she was more than capable of handling herself, armed or unarmed. Instead, she sought out the witches, hoping not only to broker an understanding for those she now aligned herself with, but increase her knowledge through whatever the witches in turn could offer.

Finding a suitable clearing to put her vessel down, she landed and shut down all unnecessary systems. The terrain ahead looked near impossible to navigate, but these witches prided themselves on their isolation. Fitting the trek itself would serve as a test. With a slight smile, the Sith Lord ventured out into the unknown wilds, using just a speck of the Force to brush back foliage and hanging vines that sought to impede her advance. This planet, unlike the one she called 'home' for ten years, seemed far more beautiful in stark comparison, yet even the greatest of beauty can pose the greatest dangers.

Moving along, trying not to appear captivated by her surroundings, she could sense she was being watched. Easily, she could have reached out through the Force to pinpoint the exact location of her curious fan, instead she allowed this individual assume they were in control of the situation; a fatal mistake if they bore ill intentions for the feline Sith.

So far it looked like the fighter melee was tipping in her favor. A few of the Ssi-ruu fighters managed to break away to hit her larger ships with their heavy weapons, but that was sporadic and so far hadn't been in a heavy enough concentration to cause worry. Her own fighter attack was going well too, they'd taken a beating on their approach from the capitals' defensive guns but once among them they were using their opponents as shields from each other. The bombers she'd sent in were also having a field day. They'd split off into pairs with a quartet of escorts and were picking targets from among the larger capital ships. They'd have the fighters fire off a double barrage of proton torpedoes before launching a pair of their sparrowhawks behind the screen. Meanwhile the remaining fighters of the attack sowed chaos with their own launchers while trying to distract defenders and bully their escorts.

Some of the torpedoes wouldn't make it, but the pilots were okay with that, most would explode harmlessly on the shields regardless. But the first pair of missiles were what mattered. If even one of them made it, and with their agility and controlling droid brain in charge of evasive maneuvering behind the torpedo screen there was a good chance of it, then they'd be hit by a massive ion pulse, shutting down their shielding and other defenses. Right before the ones carrying the baradium warheads slammed into them. One would have been a death sentence for even an Imperial star destroyer. As it was each of the ten formations could account for two capital ships assuming no bomber losses and a majority of hits. Even when that wasn't the case, there were enough kills that they were starting to work their way down through the smaller cruisers that hadn't been targeted by the White Glints.

As for the stealth ships, the flotilla had almost reached the area where the fist attack from the frigates had originated when a mass of four dozen capital missiles lit off their drives to dive into the formation. Simultaneously from sixty thousand kilometres the attack repeated itself, a quartet of energy torpedoes launching only to hit a mere second later, the responsible ships jumping away before being targeted themselves. Simultaneously another pair of White Glints appeared opposite to rake over the savaged force with their own launchers before disappearing as well.

That was just half of the stealth frigates, the other pairs were working the same tactic on the alien lizards' dreadnought, trying to chip away at its defenses in preparation of the main assault against it. Admittedly, they weren't repositioning as much and were coordinating their volleys to strike together. At the same time, they weren't in as much danger, having ranged out to the two second mark and not having a force sent out to face them.

Behind her vac-suit's helmet Domino allowed herself a smile. Things were proceeding well.

Conn and the small band of soldiers that fell in behind the Aspect as she surged forward toward the Ssi-ruuk lines. The ex-Jensarri snapped off quick blasts that picked off those scaled foes who Sasmay's barrage hadn't decimated. The din of battle increased as the calls and cries of both AoC forces and the reptilian defenders lifted over the ripping explosions and air sizzling with blaster bolts and whizzing projectiles. Then the Aspect of Dream and the surging fighters slammed into the Ssi-ruuk lines, the thundering Samsay punching a hole through the enemy. Conn was thankful for the efficiency of the female killing machine, carrying them to close quarters with the saurian oppressors.

In the heat of battle Conn paused. An invisible barrier surrounded him, glowing bolts and sparking bullets bouncing off of the Force barrier as he shouldered his carbine and drew the Tazi blade from its sheath. It hummed to life, moments before the dark blade became imbued with the Force itself, fed into the weapon by the warrior. Conn's hand lifted and the shield fell as he waded into the fray behind Samsay, who pushed forward incessantly, leaving her comrades fighting in her wake. Even as Ssi-ruuk fell around him, heads exploding, Conn envisioned Ivixa and her rifle keeping watch over him like a lethal guardian angel.

The ex-Jensaari cleaved a swathe through the railing lizard-soldiers, severing heads from shoulders and limbs from bodies. The haywire armor was more impressive than any he had worn before, and did well to protect him in such close quarters, though Conn could feel its limitations. When too many Ssi-ruuk drew around him, those falling by the otherworldly swiftness of the blade were joined by others flung away as Conn employed the Force to throw them into their comrades.

He felt it, when he finally drew closer again to the Aspect of Dream. A darkness, violent and explosive, welled up around her, or within her. Contained, but for how long? Conn realized there was much more to the gunslinging woman than her ability to decimate the enemy. She was capable of great destruction.

Her focus was sharply attuned to the enemy, the combat knife ready once more as she readied the pistol. Another came around the corner, and her sights were already set upon where she guessed it would be. The exchange of shots was short, a single shot from both parties as the Ssi-ruuk dropped forward. The Dream heaved a breath, anger and raw energy coiling around her as the projectile found purchase in a chink in the armor.

Her shoulder burned, heat permeating the shoulder of her armor as she snarled and pushed herself past the pain. She was angry that she had been shot, upset that she hadn't got the shot off earlier. She had to be better. Had to do better. People were here that needed help, and she couldn't afford to stop. Couldn't afford to be stopped.

Her hands pulled at a plate, loading cluster rounds into the accessory shot of her big iron. She let the feelings of anger and pain mix. To fester and boil over as she aimed up at another Ssi-ruuk coming over the top before catching the accessory round in the neck. It choked and gargled, dropping the scattergun it was carrying and clawing at it's throat.

The cacophony of battle was almost a symphony for her as she rounded the corner, leaving a glistening trail of crimson behind her.

Drifting through the wooded area, Mikilanna could feel the overgrowing fear of her follower, though the fear wasn't born of pure fright rather out of fear for someone, or others. Then in an instance, the Force alerted her to the danger above. The follower, feeling this fear overwhelm them lept down from the canopy of the trees, two rustic and ancient daggers pointed in the direction of the Sith. Mikilanna allowed this attacker to grow closer via the assistance of gravity, only reacting when the time became appropriate. Just as her enemy sought to strike with the aid of surprise, so did Mikilanna respond in kind.

Guided through the invisible hands of the Force, the Felacat caught the attacker by the throat; holding her suspended in place, only a few feet from the targeted back of the Sith. "I've always discovered killing an enemy was far more pleasurable and impressionable when you looked them deep into their eyes," she began, "Watching that twinkle in their eyes diminish into a cold, blank nothingness." Slowly she turned around, her right hand slipping to the hilt of one of her lightsabers when she froze, seeing the attacker. This potential killer was a girl, no older than sixteen perhaps. But the look on her face was a mixture of anger and now pure fright; as she struggled to disengage herself from unseen hands.

"Well, well and what do we have here," Mikilanna rhetorically inquired. "Or rather, shall I ask, who?" When no reply was provided, lurching from the Sith's throat came a bellowing mock of laughter. "My apologies, must be rather difficult to speak when one finds it far more difficult to breathe." And just like that, the hold on the young girl was released and she crashed, somewhat harmlessly to the forest floor. When the girl tried to stand up quickly, gripping her daggers tighter, Mikilanna simply shook her head side to side; brining common sense to the forefront of the girl. "And again, who are you?"

"Quelon, scout of the Nirviot! And you, outsider, are trespassing on ancient lands," the girl spat. Mikilanna responded with a single raising of her left eyebrow, finding this meeting to be a blessing. "The Nirviot? Well, girl, I am here seeking an audience with them on behalf of those I represent," came the reply from the Priestess of the Silencers, "And thus, we are not enemies."

"Liar! Those that came before you spoke the same lies, and they burned down one of our villages!"

"Is that so? That is most unfortunate. Well, as you can attest to, I'm not here to kill your kind. Hence, you're still alive," Mikilanna said flatly. "However, I very much indeed require an audience that can be very beneficial to both parties. Perhaps, there is something I can provide you with that shows my words ring with truth?"

The girl thought for a second, rubbing her neck. Then her eyes lit up as she said, "Over that ridge lies an old tree we call the Wyervil, those that killed my, as you put it, kind has set camp there. Deal with them" Mikilanna tore her gaze from the girl to look over at the ridge, and the tree that stood like a stout guardian behind it. Without looking at the girl, she asked, "If I deal with them, you will take me the Nirviot?"

"Yes."

"Done!"
