STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Barret is stoic and dutiful, a paragon of justice, and in most respects could be considered the perfect Jedi, his inexperience not considered.
Most however would not describe him as a Jedi, but a soldier, and of course to yet others the difference there between is nonexistent.
He follows orders without questioning, as long as they don't break the rules, he follows without hesitation.
Speaking of hesitation, Barret is quick to react in most situations, as long as he can perform within the parameters of his beloved code of ethics, but as soon the bounds of a situation pass into any sort of moral grey area, or the standard procedure gets shot, Barret loses all initiative. He has a hard time adapting to complex situations, especially ones that contain questionable moral decisions to be made.
To summarize his 2 most prominent weaknesses:
APPEARANCE:
Average height, muscularly built. Barret has a strong jaw and fierce eyes that routinely make his masters suspect him of insubordination. Ironically, considering his personality, he suffers from "resting delinquent face".
His skin is a pale chartreuse yellow. (One of his most anxious moments as a youngling was turning his lightsaber on for the first time. The other younglings had been teasing him that if he had a blue saber his skin would light up like lower district Coruscant billboard. His chrystal was indeed blue. Thankfully however the properties of his Mirialan skin did not make him glow like a seedy club advertisement.)
His hair is medium length, dark with a violet tinge in strong light. (He's under the belief that this somehow alleviates the harshness of his face, but actually just makes him seem more unruly.)
His eyes are a bright intense yellow.

BIOGRAPHY:
Barret Jera has a mostly insignificant backstory, plucked from his home by the Jedi order before he could even form cohesive memories, the monastic life is all he's known.
Had some run ins with authority on account of his eyes, which ultimately served to drive him further into his rule serving mind set. He definitely has something to prove.
Most masters wouldn't take him on account of his apparent misbehaving nature. The one who finally did, died dealing with a sith that had been trying to court said master towards the dark side. Barret blames himself for freezing up during the encounter once he had found out about their his master's dealings.
SHIP:

POSSESSIONS:
Barret's sole possessions are his Jedi robes and his light saber. His saber has a slightly longer than average handle, which gives a slight edge to leverage when wielding. Convenient considering he's not very adept with force abilities other than force intuition, and so relies mostly on his physical strength and enhanced reflexes in combat.
KILLS:
But that's murder! And murder is wrong! I have it on good authority that a proper Jedi would never resort to death as a solution!
