  • Strengths:
    • Living in the Between: Bartholomew lives in a state between life and death due to his corruption from the Netherworld and the power he struggles to contain. As such, he is more resilient than his fellow human beings and can withstand more damage in combat, although he is not invulnerable and still feels pain. His state also grants him the power to temporarily phase between the physical realm and the Netherworld at will, although this is extremely taxing and dangerous. He also has the power to summon a number of "demons" from the plane as well, although doing this is also extremely difficult and taxing to perform as often as he would like.
    • Natural Force Abilities: Born a Force User, Bartholomew possesses the natural abilities of TK and Force Lightning outside of those granted by his time in the Netherworld. While not the strongest Force User before his corruption, Bartholomew has taken the time to master the base level of these powers without the added benefits of the Netherworld. The success of this has varied and he has recently become more proficient in TK specifically, now capable of unleashing Repulses and Rends.
    • Battle Experience: A battle master in his own right, Bartholomew has rarely tasted defeat by way of his unorthodox approach to combat. Using his unique powers in the Force, he has singlehandedly defeated entire Task Forces designed specifically to kill him. His strategic mind has also earned him several ranks of leadership in various militaries and has taken them to victory time and time again.
    • Polyglot: A gifted linguist since childhood, Bartholomew can converse with almost every common Galactic species with relative ease. This has certainly aided him in his ventures within the Underworld and especially so within major Factions. His ability to speak High Galactic, in particular, has proven useful when he has had to deal with nobles and politicians who would otherwise suspect him of being a deviant brute. Naturally, the resulting conversations almost always ended in death.
  • Weaknesses:
    • A Possible Deadly Pact: It is believed by some of the more esoteric scholars that the power Bartholomew possesses from the Netherworld is in fact a terrifying gift from an entity ages old. If so, that would indicate that the man created a pact for power at the cost of his soul should he fail to complete the terms of the pact. This power is also highly unstable and is a risk to even use in a skirmish, capable of backfiring on the caster and rending his very essence apart.
    • Melancholia: Despite his successes, Bartholomew Cain is a routinely morose individual nearly incapable of feeling happiness and consistently finds ways to make those around him feel worse. This makes social encounters with him nearly unbearable and is one of the main reasons he has yet to find true loyal companions.
    • Untrustworthy: Openly approaching alliances like temporary business opportunities he will leave at the first sign of irreversible danger, Bartholomew has gained a reputation for being untrustworthy and risky to work with. This has damaged his more gainful roles within factions and limited his future prospects with others.
    • Criminal Record: Alongside his other reputation, Bartholomew is rumored to have committed crimes more heinous than most Dark Siders. This has given him a secondary reputation of fear and disgust, even if not all that he has been accused of is true.
    • Few Allies:His attitude, snake-like approach to alliances, and rumored crimes have left Bartholomew with very few people he could call upon and believe they would come to his aid. This has only compounded his lone-wolf lifestyle which puts him at risk of perishing at the hands of his many enemies due to having almost no one willing to defend him.
