STRENGTHS
  • Offensive Adaptability: With a wide grip area (including the crossguard itself), and a multitude of weapons in one, Bartholomew has plenty of offensive capabilities in battles. From extending the hilt to use the blade as a pike, to wide devastating swings with triple blades, to using the removable pommel as a punch dagger, the Cursed Wayfarer has a veritable weapon's locker for a lightsaber.
  • Defensive Sustainability: The unique style of the crossguard, materials used in the construction of the weapon, and the flared emitter blades ensure that Bartholomew's Apostle Cross can withstand damage that standard Lightsabers cannot. By activating the crossguard, Bartholomew can trap opponents' lightsabers and prevent them from running alongside the main blade and thus damage the main emitter. The crossguard can also be used as a makeshift grapnel should the need arise during exploration or combat.
  • Focus Crystal: Attuned to Bartholomew, this Focus Crystal ensures that the Apostle Cross cannot be used or activated by any other Force Sensitive.
WEAKNESSES
  • Very Cumbersome: As the most modified of all Apostle Crosses, Bartholomew's Lightsaber is a highly unwieldy weapon and requires great skill and patience to use to its fullest - and most chaotic - potential. Requiring two hands to even carry, this Apostle Cross takes a great deal of stamina from its wielder, requiring Bartholomew to focus on either fighting slowly or finishing the fight quickly. Blocking repeated ranged attacks is also highly difficult due to the weight of the weapon, forcing Bartholomew to either find cover, use his own ranged weapons, or press forward sooner than he may wish to.
  • Noticeable From Space: Stealth is not possible with this weapon due to its size and weight. The weapon is detectable by any Force Sensitive within a certain proximity.
  • Light Side: As a result of Bartholomew's fall to the Dark Side, his Lightsaber has gained a weakness to the Light Side of the Force despite not being alchemized in any way. This is likely because of the immense personal connection to the Focus Crystal that all Apostles develop. As Bartholomew has a weakness to the Light Side and its powers, so too does his weapon that is now, in some ways, his truest friend. Applications of Force Light and similar abilities will thus have the same effect on this Apostle Cross as they do on Sith Swords. Electric Judgement cannot be blocked at all and will fry the circuitry of the weapon in seconds.
DESCRIPTION
(Describe some of the histories behind the submission. Give us some idea of how it might perform its function, what it excels against and what some limitations of it are. This is where you talk about your idea, flesh it out over at least a good-sized paragraph, and address some of the ways it might be used or abused. For especially powerful or ambitious submissions, a very thorough description is recommended.)
