- Armor is designed to be modular plate carriers/body armor, and helmets. This allows for the basic protection of front/back plates and simple helmets to allow for the easy mass proliferation of basic protective gear. These kits can be as built up or barebones as people want, meaning you can have side plates, shoulder guards, neck protectors and other protective items as much as you want or you can have just a simple front/back plate protection.
- Armor is also collapsible and easily disassembled allowing for ease of storage and transport. This allows for people have it with them almost anywhere, to store it in places where it can be easily accessed or transported.
- Easy to use for doffing and use, making it a great entry level armor system for civilians, mercenaries, soldiers, or even security types. This also makes it very attractive for all types of people from all walks of life because of its ease of use.
- Offers really good protection: The plates of this armor piece and helmet are made with Phrik-B, Duraplast and Armorweave offering second to none protection of vital areas that are covered. This means that aside from extremely heavy duty armor piercing weapons you shouldn't have to worry about it.
- Very light and easy to use: The minimalist nature of this armor makes it one of the lighter offerings on the market available to the masses. That and it's ease of use makes it extremely attractive for not only first time armor buyers, but seasoned veterans seeing its value in its simplicity, durability and strength.
- Only covers front/back/sides of torso: This armor in order to be as light and easy to use at it is, only covers major points on the torso. That means it only seriously covers the front, back, and sides of the torso with different plate sizes. And these plates only offer the basic coverage of these areas. So that means your arms, your legs, even portions of the torso, neck and head are still quite exposed. And the only way to reduce the amount of exposure, is to add more armor, which adds even more weight and complexity which kinda defeats the purpose.
- Lack of coverage leads to a lack of protection: So radiation, vacuum, and all these other types of threats that are area of effect, wavelength, or airborne are essentially unimpeded outside of the armor coverage. So biological threats, radiation, Ion/EMP, THE FORCE and all of the other stuff that you need a proper suit for..... yeah good luck.
This armor piece was developed as one of the first offerings to the wider galaxy for personal protection. This armor system, while designed for private security types and as an affordable offering for mercenaries and soldiers, also appeals to civilians and others around the galaxy for its light weight construction and easy to learn style. It covers the bare necessities for the average person, making it possible for them to not only protect themselves at a range from accidents, but also make it possible to survive IRL firefights with the proper protection to allow for them to take hits that would normally be lethal and survive. This is due to the ability of this armor to take massive amounts of damage to the various solid plates in its construction which cover the basic vital areas (front/sides/back of torso, basic head protection). This along with its ease of transportation, stowage, donning and doffing, and comfortable wear makes it a great entry level piece of armor for all walks of life, or a reliable lightweight piece of gear for operators needing speed and agility in their gear.
