Bastila vs. Vader

Do you think Bastila could of Annihilated Vader if it were her era? Now, I'm new to the EU so excuse my ignorance; but here are my thoughts.

- Could she have used Battle Meditation to assist Windu in killing Sidous?
- Could she have helped protect the temple "Younglings"?
- Could she have slayed Anakin 1v1.... what Obi-Won couldn't do?
- COULD SHE HAVE KILLED VADER 1v1?

Hm...... That's a toughie. But remember, Windu was about to kill Palpatine when Anakin distracted him and aided Palpatine in killing him. Had Anakin not been there, Palpatine would've been dead. Other than that, I have no idea.... :p

1. Yes, but the only reason Sideous won was Anakin's timely arrival. Otherwise, Windu would have taken the duel.
2. Not really. There were other masters there, and Vader killed them all.
3. Yes and no. Obi-wan would have successfully finished him off if Sideous hadn't come saved him from burning.
4. No. Vader went on to kill almost all Jedi left, including the Dark Woman, who was arguably more powerful than Bastila. She would fall before the Dark Lord.
At Least, as far as I know.

  • Unlikely. Battle Meditation was more a large scale thing. A Jedi trained in the ways of the Old Republic would have been far more use in melee.
  • She could have held off some, but not forever. Many hundreds of clones died in that battle, but even Bastila could not have resisted an army.
  • Potentially, but unlikely. Anakin might have been a whiny git but he was an excellent fighter.
  • Difficult to say. Vader's power is somewhat underplayed because when the Original Trilogy came out there wasn't the vast proliferation of powers and EU material. As Vader killed many, many Jedi in the Dark Times I'm going to assume he was a match for practically anyone. So...potentially, but unlikely.

I wish they'd make EU ( or "legacy) Tv series relating to the old republic and other periods of time. The Raven story would knock some kids socks off that didn't know it.

side note: windu only got so close to killing the emperor as he wanted to force anakins hand
