Bastin is in top form for a man of his age, something that he strives to keep. He's tall, healthy and can hold his own in a brawl. There's hardly ever a smile on his face. Instead his look is stern and judgemental. His clothing usually consists of shirts, tank tops, cargo pants and combat boots. But when he's in important meetings or social events that his wife brings him to, he's well suited up.
BIOGRAPHY:
Born into a family where his younger brother was more praised for being a Force User certainly left it's mark. It was expected that after Veiere Arenais was sent away to live with the Jedi, Bastin would once again be the favourite son. But that wasn't the case. His parents always showed their pride with Veiere, whereas Bastin was just the 'other son'. That left him bitter and determined to make his own greatness.
Throughout his youth Bastin built on his physical strength and read up on military tactics and running various ships. There was no credits available for him to head off to any of the Military Academies, but that was never his goal anyways. He just wanted to be better than his brother.
As soon as he could, Bastin left home and took any job that fit his goals, learning mechanics, mercenary work, boxing and piloting. He saved up his credits and eventually acquired his own ship and crew. With each successful job or mission, he garnered a bigger ship and bigger crew. Each success also gained him more respect among his men as well as a reputation of the man 'to go to' in order to get the job done. Failure just wasn't an option for him.
It wasn't long after the demise of the Commenori Monarchy that Bastin met his wife Rowena Arenais . She was ambitious and with a determination to fulfill her goals that matched his own. Where he was great at strategy in battle, she was great at strategy in political circles. She devised a way for him to still seek revenge on his brother and to become the 'Better Arenais' of the two. Veiere's death did little to stop that goal, for there was still his legacy to deal with. And that was where Rowena's involvement was paramount.
