Since her time working with Ashen Ren ([member="Isla Ashen"]), Arlen's curiosity about the Knights of Ren had only grown. Their organization remained an enimga to her, a fact that the intelligence officer didn't like as she was expected to collaborate with them more closely in the future.

Access to the Ren was normally restricted to outsiders, but as an agent of the FOSB, she enjoyed some special privileges. She had finally decided to take advantage of them, and pay a visit to her counterparts on Virgillia.

She arrived to the planet alone, aboard a heavily modified Star Courier she often used for official business within First Order. It possessed an enhanced sensor package, electronic warfare suite, all the bells and whistles rolled into one sleek package. In the upgrades to her ship, she had taken inspiration from an older design from the time of the First Republic.

After receiving clearance from ground control, she made her way down to the surface, noting the dedicated early warning sensors of the Ren's headquarters. Closer, and she could make out large gun emplacements through electro-optics. Capital grade air defense batteries that could make quick work of starfighters and larger vessels alike. All very impressive.

As for the Ren stronghold itself...she literally found a hole in the earth as she circled above. There were sharp stone carvings cut out of the mountain face to frame the entrance, but at the end of the day, it was still a glowing hole. The subterranean mountain complex was tactically sound, but aesthetically dull. It fit her impression of the drab Ren perfectly.

She set her ship down at the base of the entrance, then began the trek up the long row of steps. Expecting to exert herself here during her visit, she had dressed accordingly, donning a set of gray fatigues, devoid of insignia, paired with a thick black coat and a beanie covering her head.

The heels of her boots made loud clicks against the stone, only to be swiftly swallowed up by the howl of the mountain winds. She felt a chill as she came closer to the entrance, but it wasn't because of the weather. This place was strong with the Dark Side, no doubt from all the Ren cohabitating within its bounds. If any were to sense her in the Force, then they would see a being seeped in the Dark Side, the product of a hundred generations of Force Sensitives raised within a well of a planetary nexus. On Sekalus, the Dark Side was strong everywhere, from the soil to the very air one breathed. Every night, she praised Bogan for enriching her with such a nourishing environment to flourish since before she was born, to become the Sith she was today.
