Battle over Utapau [orc]

Battle over Utapau

The distress call transmitted to close by worlds airing it's chilling crackle followed by screams. It was brief but to anyone who heard they'd know it meant nothing good. Some people already knew to stay clear of Utapau. Rumors of war had been tossed about between smugglers and folk who visit often. At last they we're true. Kesh's fleets had blockaded the world bombarding it from orbit, killing those who tried to flea. Nothing had been done to provoke this war. It was bread from greed and the demand to expand territories.

While the soldiers of Kesh held the skies their attempts to land ground forces get met by resistance. The people here had an advantage that their homes offered cover and a unique battlefield. Anyone who was brave enough to pick up a gun fought arm in arm but moral dropped. It dropped lower each passing day as food and water began to become scarse.

The Rough looking man had crouched back tight against a make shift barrier as more soldiers repeled down onto the platform. Green laser bolts flew above his head. There was a few other allies pinned down but they had to advance. Pushing the enemy from this platform was vital. A person next to him stood up to shoot his weapon but got gunned down before the mans gun raised to take a shot. Every second more enemies dropped down into the battle that grew more intence.

"Kark this." Taneas said under his breath. He waited for someone else to stand up sacrificing themselves to the hail of gunfire before he vaulted over charging for the next barricade up ahead. His legs clanked against the floor running faster than the average person as his guns pointed at the enemy. Several shots would pass through the barrel shredding through any armor the kesh troops used. At that moment as guns turned to focus on him he'd drop into a slide smashing against the meatal of his new cover. "Come on. The ship is one more level down. Just need to push a little further." He'd say to himself again.

His actions had caused enough distraction in that moment that allies we're able to take out a few more of the enemy that was now taking cover, but without any reinforcement soon they'd be pushed back.

Ooc:
Those coming from space will find them selfs pushing through a blockade. Starfighters may encounter you or you could be lucky to slip by in the heat on battle.

Those starting on the ground. You will find yourself defending your current level from the overwhelming forces.

I've left it vauge so y'all can go ham.

The Reaper of Won Shasot
The Azalea shuddered as it took fire, the lightly armored hull doing its best to weave in and out of potential firing lanes and kill boxes, all the while attempting to take out the incoming starfighters intent on stopping the corvette's advance. The buzz of combat chatter filled Dax's ear as his eyes focused intently on what was going on outside the viewport. He jerked the vessel to the right, a purple blaze flying by, consuming the crews vision for a brief moment as a proton torpedo zipped past. A close one. Dax rarely took the helm anymore. But he found that today was one of the seldom few days he would control the ship. The thick fighting could be too much for someone else.

The blockade had firmly held back the larger ships that were trying to penetrate and reach the planet surface. But the Razer-class Corvette, light, nimble, designed to take on starfighters, quickly zipped by ships before they could fire...well, thats how it had started. Now they were narrowly evading fatall blows. And they still had a ways to go.
