SPECIAL FEATURES:
  • Battlemaster I programming Suite Includes a strong combination of martial arts programming, small arms and crew serve-type weapons abilities, and basic infantry tactics, designed to make standard-level battle droids effective on par with highly-trained sentient soldiers.
Martial Arts Programming –
STRENGTHS:
  • Makes individual droids able to function as ‘elite’ soldiers, able to demonstrate exceptional unarmed and melee fighting abilities, marksmanship, and small-unit or individual tactics.
WEAKNESSES:
  • Only enhances unarmed and melee combat, small arms marksmanship, and small-unit and individual tactics, and doesn’t make a droid able to command legions or plan / direct battle-wide tactics, operate artillery or heavy weaponry like starship gun batteries, or grant them the ability to perform martial arts techniques which require Force-abilities or similar biological qualities, such as species-specific techniques, etc.
  • Can only be used by droids designed for military / combat purposes.
DESCRIPTION:

The Battlemaster I upgrade can elevate a battle droid’s programming and abilities to make it functionally on par with the best-trained shock troops, able to perform as skilled marksmen and combatants, even against multiple opponents. Droids with this upgrade can proficiently use most any type of small arms with stunning precision, however this does not apply to highly-specialized weapons. Picking up a standard-issue blaster rifle and taking out your enemies with ease is one thing, but using a customized weapon attuned for an individual user or specific species is quite another. The Battlemaster I upgrade also won’t make them expert gunners commanding artillery batteries or operating hovertanks or mobile weapons platforms effortlessly. Instead, the Battlemaster I aids the droid to become an expert soldier, an advanced infantryman or special forces operator. In hand-to-hand combat situations, droids with this upgrade will be reminiscent of the Galactic Empire’s elite death troopers or the ARC troopers of the Clone Wars before that. It won’t make your droid invincible, but it will make it harder to kill and much more likely to prevail.
