Original Source (Modified by Me)
Name: BB-22
Loyalties: Athelus Palle and the crew of The Vestigial Light
Role: Droid sidekick/mechanical help

Age: 820
Model: BB Unit

Appearance: 22 looks much like BB-8, except instead of being orange, he's a light blue in trim. He shows signs of a lot of wear and tear, mostly in some rusting along the joints of his body. Still, he does look as if he's been relatively well maintained. Everything gets dirty when rolling around the galaxy. There's no blaster scorch marks or anything of that nature on him. He looks quite like one would expect of a BB unit.

Personality: BB-22 is very personable. In fact, he's a bit of a chatter box. If you happen to understand binary, you'll get an earful from him constantly. He doesn't complain, though. Never complains. He's always upbeat and positive, even in bad situations. Great for morale. He can be very analytical, though, telling you all kinds of information you really didn't want to know about why the ship has this weird jerky nature when turning left. Overexplanation! But in general he just likes people, though always prioritizes Athelus and the crew of his ship over others, unless instructed to do otherwise.

Combat Function: Run away! But seriously, he's not a combat droid. In most combat situations he's going to run and find a hidey hole. If you get to close, though, he might pop his little prongs out and zap you one. It's a good jolt, but it isn't going to even knock you out. Most effective against other droids.

Notable Possessions: None!

History: Athelus first met BB-22 when the droid was marauding around Point Nadir in the service of one Gand named Warroc. Warroc, being one of the local powerhouses and a dispenser of jobs, had acquired the droid from somewhere dubious. 22 never likes to talk about his time before being owned by Warroc. Either way, Athelus got a job to run some spice to Coruscant. He did a splendid job, of course. Not a buggaboo to be seen. The Sithies, who owned the world at the time, searched his ship all nice like. Not actual Sith, of course, just their flunkies. They found nothing but the legitimate shipment of parts that had been ordered for repairing on of the planets shield generators. It went swimmingly. He just happened to also deliver some spice to an underground runner while he was there.

Now that might not seem all that important until you take into account the fact that he'd made a little wager with Warroc. See, Warroc and Athelus have a bit of a history of making wagers with each other, completely off the books. Athelus wins most of his bets, but always manages to lose just enough to keep Warroc on the hook. Anyway, the bet this time was that he couldn't sneak spice onto Coruscant. Warroc had given the job to him solely because he didn't believe it could be done and he wanted to wager on it. So the big reward? Double the pot of money at the end of the job-well-done-rainbow, and ownership of BB-22.

22 was ecstatic about his new ownership. He wanted to get off Point Nadir from time to time and see the galaxy again. He has a bit of a habit of somehow getting himself into the ships co-pilot seat before takeoff and strapping himself in. He then proceeds to zap whoever tries to take him out. Normally they just let him sit there because it really isn't worth the trouble and he seems to rather enjoy himself. Athelus doesn't really mind so long as someone pulls the right levels and switches at the right time to keep them moving along. They've been traveling together now for roughly five years, and Athelus trusts BB-22's intuition just as much as the droid trusts him to keep him from getting turned into scrap parts since he's quite the outdated model by galactic standards. It's somewhat of a symbiotic relationship. They work with each other, but 22 also helps to take care of the ship, especially when they're in combat and the four man crew is busy. The crew, in return, keeps him safe and takes him on adventures.

What more could he want?
