BBQ at Cira's house May 9th (Saturday)

Okay! That time of year again!

I’m having a BBQ over at my house on May 9th, 2015. Yes, it is a Saturday, yes I have plenty of floor space for those who are commuting to crash on, and yes… potluck style is optional!

I love to throw these so folk can meet up and enjoy each other beyond the laptop and the board. I’ve already had many folk over to partake in such events like Tef, Sarge, Ryori, Akio, Ayden, Chaos or met up with Spencer, Tegs, and a long long looooooong list of names of other rpers.

So, if you can drive down ( or up) to Lorton, VA (carpool or take the train, i don’t mind picking people up!) feel free to post here so i can start getting a list on who will show up and just how much food we’ll need to have ( or ask you to bring something…)

We’ll have card games, rather interesting table games with liquid in cups… ( I am getting a LONG table!) and all around just hang out and have a blast!

Post if interested! :)

Figure burgers and hotdogs are good. We'll figure out the rest as the time gets nearer. For those who spend the night and want to hang out the next day....

Bowling? :D

Wow, I didn't even know that your house is only a four hour drive from mine. But alas things require my attention that weekend. My cousin is getting married, again. No matter how much I wanna be anywhere else, family comes first.

Let me do some math:
If I avoid ferries (not that I'd need one) and any bridges with tolls (to reduce cost), it would be roughly 42 hours of straight driving. Now, let's say I (and whoever is driving me, since I don't have my license yet) manage to travel 9 hours a day. However, two hours out of 9 is spent at rest stops, fast food restaurants, and waiting at red lights. That's 7(ish) hours of driving per day. Which means seven days if we can keep pace.

How about we add two days to get ready? Nine days to get there.
Of course, we have to add the 3-6 years before I could A: go there on my own, or B: be old enough to feel confident enough to play games with liquids in cups on tables.
:D
EDIT: I've been looking over the route. Turns out I'd be passing through my 'favorite' city in WA: Ritzville. Which means I'm spending an additional twenty days there counting how many people are there (like, five, they all work at McDonalds), ten days watching the Micky D's staff argue in front of customers, and counting how many actually stay at the one small, kinda ratty motel.
