Description: Based on a Unidentified Tythonian war droid, the BCU-ULU1 is Bantam Cooperative Unlimited first attempt at a standardized labor and construction droid. The schematics for this droid body were made by reverse engineering a unit the CEO (Bryce Bantam) found in an abandoned city in the Taris wilds. However the units droid brain and other memory components were beyond repair or study leading BCU to use the simple memory cores, programming and logic capabilities of the SD Mk1 "Buzz droid" . This leads the unit to be very limited in capabilities and can usually only perform very generic and unskilled labor tasks (such as moving objects from one place to another). The simplistic design does have the advantage of being relatively cheap and easy to produce, making it a reasonably good droid for the small price tag.
BCU hopes to fill the mass production and cheap labor needs of multiple companies in and outside the system. The ULU1 was made to be cheaply manufactured and repaired so that is could be more cost effective to operate then slave laborers, giving companies that use slave labor a cheaper alternative then enslaving the Native Biituian population.
