- "Arcade Perfect" Belbullab 22 Heavy Starfighter. Easily Learned, acquired, maintained
- Unusually sturdy and resilient starfighter--even models from the clone wars are often still functional if encountered. If not, they can very easily be restored to functionality. They are often extremely resilient to typical wear and tear, and can with stand numerous heavy attacks even from modern starfighter weapons
- Why can't you just die?: Tough enough to make a Tommy Lee Jones armed with a Grenade Launcher straight up Rage Quit, The 22 was built so tough and sturdy that even examples dating back to the clone wars are often still in combat capable condition, able to still withstand immense punishment from conventional weapons. This sturdiness allows it to go longer without maintainance.
- Bite: Its twin triple barrel laser cannons allow it to do potentially immense damage even to modern defenses
- Classic: Its electronics are the same as that in the Clone Wars, and their simpler nature allows Pilots to learn how to use the fighters much more quickly and effectively, and can endlessly be customized (Anything beyond aesthetics/color changes will require a new sub)
- Contingencies: Has two hyperdrives
- Turns: You're not out turning anyone in this. It has the turn of a snail. Just charge head on and fire!
- Outdated: It's electronics are outdated, leading to it being more easily jammed and its much more vulnerable to ion weapons than modern fighters
- Lack of options: It has only laser cannons, leading to a lack of options should a foe prove resilient to them.
- Snail: Sure, it's got two hyperdrives, problem is they are both slow as heck
Developed during The Clone Wars, The Belbullab 22 was the only fighter in the ancient CIS that was intended for Organic Pilots. Its infamously sturdy design led to it being stolen and undergoing the typical effects of proliferation after the end of the Clone Wars, showing up in many factions, stored as doomsday surplus, or collected and modified by enthusiasts. So tough that many examples dating back to the Clone Wars were still fully combat capable when discovered in the errant CIS storehouse or old scrapyards, leading to it being a great option for cash strapped nations needing massed firepower. The 22 is an excellent option for strike missions on enemy facilites or vehicles, and when you desire a higher chance than average of returning alive. Perfect as a main sub for player characters or as the basis for one.
