[HISTORY]
Born on Anaxes to a middle-class family of a merchant father and a teacher mother, Belisarius grew having less than too much but more than enough. Instilled from an early by his father the value of hard work, Belisarius took on every activity with diligence. He enrolled into a political science specialized high school on Anaxes where he first dipped into the world of political ideologies. There he formed his first circle of like-minded friends who shared democratic views and ideals.
Fresh out of high school, Belisarius wished to enroll in university and further his knowledge of politics. Alas, war knocked on the door; he and his friends from high school were all drafted into the military.
In the first year of the war he had lost all of his friends.
Thanks to his hard work, determination and unorthodox boldness, Belisarius found himself quickly promoted to the rank of sergeant by his fourth year of service. Serving on different fronts across the galaxy, some bloodier than others, Belisarius survived but grew disillusioned with the Republic's ideals as he saw them far too corruptible and unfit to rule. His days as a sergeant, and a soldier of the Republic Army, ended when he defied an order from his superior - a Jedi - convinced the order was suicidal. Sergeant Belisarius was tried at court-martial and imprisoned on the grounds of insubordination.
A year? Years? He had forgotten the concept of time in jail. There he engaged in friendlier terms with three former officers imprisoned for possessing imperialistic beliefs. Shunning them at first, it wasn't after months of fruitful conversations that Belisarius found his beliefs challenged and shattered. Converting to an Imperial, albeit less extreme than his prison mates, he began writing a book on these beliefs in regards to warfare and politics.
By chapter five Coruscant had fallen and the One Sith had usurped the seat of the galaxy releasing those loyal to their cause from prisons. It was only because of his shift to pro-imperial ideas that he was released. Had it not been that, he would've probably still rotted behind bars.
Serving the One Sith as a sergeant and eventually being field promoted to lieutenant, Belisarius found little difference between the Sith and his former superior the Jedi. Once more lieutenant Belisarius was deployed to various fronts as the tip of the spear leading forward recon units into battle. He carved a positive reputation among his subordinates and a negative one with his superiors which costed him far more years than needed to be finally promoted to captain. The promotion occurred during the final days of the One Sith.
After the demise of the One Sith, he naturally left for the Outer Rim to lead his troopers of 3rd Airborne Company as they became part of the Sith-Imperial Legion. He retired soon after the defense of Mirial from Silver Jedi aggression to finally finish his book.
Alas.
The rise of the New Imperial Order pulled him back in.
Sworn to uphold the order and integrity of the Imperial idea and preserving the lives of men from the whims of both Sith and Jedi, Captain Belisarius had no choice but to answer Irveric Tavlar 's call.
[INTENT]
To write a commanding officer's experience of the horrors of war and his struggle of discovering what is right and what is wrong in a galaxy bent under the will of the Force chosen few.
