STRENGTHS

War Chief: As the name suggests, the Bellidux is a vessel for war. It possesses both strong offensive and defensive capabilities, and is fully equipped to serve as the central hub in any theatre of galactic war. ​

Forward Momentum: Six primary engines, two auxiliary, the Bellidux might not be lightning quick, but she can definitely move a lot faster than many would anticipate. ​

WEAKNESSES

Mortal Engines: The Bellidux’s aforementioned engines are considerably exposed and vulnerable to attacks from behind and below. Significant damage can potentially cause a cascading failure which could theoretically cripple the vessel and render it dead in the water. ​

Ungainly: And for all the power in those engines, the Bellidux is fairly terrible at maneuvering, possessing a turning circle akin to a half-blind, lame ronto. ​

DESCRIPTION

A quintessential vessel of war, the Bellidux was envisioned as serving as the centerpiece for overly ambitious sector task forces and large scale fleets. To that end, it has been heavily outfitted with a very high level of defensive and offensive capabilities to allow it to dominate the battlefield through sheer force of presence. Despite being based on updated designs centuries old, the Fusion Accelerator Cannon alone makes for quite the particular decisive factor in many engagements. When paired with batteries upon batteries of heavy solar ionization cannons, turbolasers, ion cannons, null-burst projectors, it definitely becomes a vessel that not even SSDs can afford to overlook.​

A veritable mobile fortress, while less maneuverable than initially planned, the Bellidux’s powerful engines nevertheless allow it to keep pace with smaller vessels, making it ideal to operate within tight knit formations. This also allows allied vessels to take full advantage of its disruption capabilities, hampering enemy movements through the use of the onboard interdiction generators, interfering with their communications, and other assorted systems via ECM. ​
