Strengths
Agility
Nita is fleet of foot and can turn on a cred, making her difficult to evade. This has been a boon to her when hunting, rounding up ill-behaved turkeys, and more besides.
Marskmanship
Shoot it, throw it, whatever. Nita hits her mark more often than not, even when the target is mobile. Even if it is something so small as a rabbit. Nita has eaten a lot of rabbit, in a lot of different ways. Rabbit tacos, anyone?
Weaknesses
Fear/Rage
Nita is triggered to fear at the involvement of a Sith in anything, rage if they affect her and her own, and has distrust of force-users in general. She has a lot to learn, in that evil isn't always where you think, and where you least expect it.
Nightmares
In the same vein as the rage she experiences, Nita has experienced nightmares stemming from her mother’s death on and off since the occurrence, due to having witnessed it herself in a glimpse as she was pulled away in the evacuation of her childhood home on Dantooine.
Appearance
Nita is the shortest and narrowest member of her family, but she makes up for it in other ways. From her mother, she has an olive complexion that is lightened by the colour of her father's flesh, but her hair is as dark as her late buir’s. She can often be found clothed in leather, denim, and cotton, in a fashion suited for the wide range of movement that hunt and chase requires, but her beskar’gam is dear to her, as it was once her mother's in many of its parts; she wears it at every applicable opportunity.
History
Born on Dantoonie, her family’s ancestral home, it was apparent from the very start that Benita Lupe Quez had inherited much of her mother Murriel’s looks, rather than that of her father as her sister had and her brother would. While all of Joanes and Murriel’s children were brought up as Mando’ade should be, only Benita took the way of the Mandalorian soldier and warrior to her heart and soul, emulating her father more than her older sister, Lyanie (an engineer) and younger brother Liam (a pilot) did, while also coming into her own in other ways. Still, she only followed the tenets of her people because that was how she had been raised, and it wasn’t until the death of her mother at the hands of darjetii that this part of her identity became well and truly cemented.
Since that day, she has sought to prove herself more than anything, but opportunities to do so in the way she imagined have been scarce with the absence of her brother, to whom her buir had intended to leave the turkey and agricultural business, and to one day head their clan. But no, her baby brother just had to run off with a jetii when he was thirteen, and at first she missed the dummy, but has long since grown to resent him. Though the inheritance of the family business would have fallen to her, and had to apply herself in learning the ins and outs of the business more than she had ever thought she would, another within the clan who was more suited and willing offered to take her place, leaving her free to be who she was.
Then, when the Clans allied with the Sith Empire, her Clan broke off from the inter-clan alliance and went their own way, resettling on Contruum, and for a time, Nita considered joining and even went so far as to join the Antarian Rangers, but even with other Mando'ade in their midst, there was now something missing. Serving jetii, ultimately, rubbed her the wrong way, but all things considered, perhaps it shouldn't have. She understood, and agreed with the reasons for breaking with the clans, but home was more than just her clan. It was her people, but who they were now was difficult to say, when she couldn't blink without encountering a jetii or worse. Perhaps it shouldn't have bothered her as it did, but anger and loss colour thoughts and cloud judgement. Fear was a dangerous thing.
And Nita had a lot of it, and a lot still to learn about what true evil is, now, far from home, or perhaps... trying to find it.
