BIOGRAPHY:
Ben was born on Commenor, and was raised by a moderately-wealthy family. He took to his studies well, though he rarely made friends. Quite often those who he did befriend only did so because he’d help them with their schooling as well. Eventually, Ben caught on, and began tutoring other students for money. This money he used to help him get materials to use in his various other skills, including a blaster pistol he bought under the noses of his parents.
When Ben was 15, the Sith Empire occupied Commenor. During the initial fight, he lost his family, who fought back. Ben spent the rest of the occupation doing what he could to survive, taking to conning people on the street. Eventually the planet was liberated, and Ben could operate more freely, and officially inherited what his family owned before their deaths.
