Bernard was born in a Jedi enclave on Arkania. His story is not a deeply exciting one, nor one that need be recounted in great detail. He spent his youth training in the ways of the Force and Jedi. Following a betrayal from within, and the destruction of the enclave, Bernard fled through the snow dunes of the Arkanian lowlands until his rescue by an elderly couple of farmers. Despite their insistence he stay, the young padawan could not sit idle.
Following a brief period of vigilantism on various worlds, Bernard would eventually link up with the New Jedi Order, under whom he resumed his Jedi training. During these years, he forged close bonds with the Jedi around him, and would eventually join them and the Order as it became integrated into the Galactic Alliance.
Feeling he had to make himself useful, the now Jedi Knight spent his free time moonlighting as an Alliance Marshal to uphold the law of the Alliance. Soon, however, the Alliance would engage the then Sith Empire in a war of liberation, and Bernard quickly joined the frontlines with the other Jedi of the Order.
Since those first years of battle, he has become a veteran of the New Imperial Uprising, the Great Sith War, and subsequent Great Hyperspace Wars. He has battled servants of the Dark Side in most any shape and form in the name of the Alliance, the Jedi, and the Light Side of the Force. Yet, following the conclusion of the Hyperspace Wars, he had resigned from the New Jedi Order and disappeared from the face of the Galaxy.
