His buir wanted him to learn how to metal work so Teroch apprenticed for a time under Aga Awald. Years later he went to the jedi and learned a few techniques, but after the recent sith battles Teroch has turned his back on the force. Planning on returning to Manda'yaim to go on the hunt he instead met the other Beskar'ad and found a bond that he didn't even know he had been missing.

She was picked up at 17 by an old mando named Arryn, a woman of skill with the forge and a kal. She took the twilek in and eventually adopted her. Now Aayla works with the Bskar'ad after meeting thm during a bar brawl.
