As it stands, here is the submission for my personal armor. Feedback welcomed.

Intent: To create a heavily armored, shock-trooper variant on the Mandalorian Armor designed for mid to short range battle. Thematically rather than fitted plates that butt up to one another, the armor relies on overlapping plates to provide increased protection at the cost of mobilty.

  • *Addition of Ionite 'keldabe kiss' plate in forehead of helmet with insulation layer.

  • *Ionite and Ostrine alloy/plating added, designed to aid in helping disrupt electronics/life functions via punching things in the face/back/groin/nearest viable surface.

-Boots-
  • *Mag-locks located on the soles of the boot in heels and toes.
  • *Toe plate and spiking (think Boba's boots) on front of boot, made of Ionite, designed again to help pierce and disrupt shielding/electronics via unarmed attacks
  • *Insulation layer to prevent interference of Ionite with suits electronics
  • *Repulsorlifts in the arch and throughout the boot with inertial dampeners to modify and reduce impact. Allows for a half meter hover for 5-10 minutes and pretty much uninterrupted leaping of approx 20 yards.

*Hardpoints for miniaturized or low-powered weapons system, 1x per knee(dart launcher may be 2x launcher per knee, low powered micro-rockets with minimal blast radius, etc..)

*Right Knee:

-Gauntlets-
*Hardpoints for 2 weapon(s) system(s) per gauntlet(grappling hook, low powered blaster... Rocket/missile system & flamethrower on this platform would take up 2x slots, up to 2x dart launchers may be considered as taking up only 1x slot)

*Slot on left gauntlet for interface control for computer control for said systems and other systems connected to suit controls via various hardpoints (knees, back, etc..). If this slot is active, only 1x weapons system may be.


*Left Gauntlet:
  • *Control system for hard-pointed weapons (knees, gauntlets, etc..). Able to aim, fire, reload and perform all associated functions with weapons systems tied into said system. This system can be slaved to the helmet systems to allow firing via blink and voice comands, though only for short periods of time.
  • *Grappling hook system with 5 pronged (and barbed) liquid-cable launcher system
*Right Gauntlet:
  • *Flamethrower: Uses standard accelerant and fuel system. Nothing special really, does what it says on the tin.

*~ Any modifcation or installation of different equipment will require a thread to develop said weapon/system and install it into the armor, consisting of a minimum of 10 posts. Switching out between two technologies (All of which shall be unique and only to function with the beskar'baak's system) will require no more or less than 1 post dedicated to the action at any time, assuming the tech is within reasonable reach/distance.

Description:
Departing heavily from the classical Mandalorian Armor, Ijaat's suit is a revolutionary design based around one sole principal: To soak up as much damage as possible. This design swaps out speed and flexibility heavily for sheer staying power, the plates thicker than average beskar'gam, with fewer tricks and such up it's sleeve. This suit represents a full two decades or more of armoring experience, and pushes the limits of even Ijaats considerabl skill and knowledge to create.

The chest plates still bear the iconic collar, two pectoral plates, a chest diamond, and an ab plate. The shaping is less sweeping curves and more sharp ninety degree angles, the plates themselves riveted together on the armorweave body suit or to the arming vest overtop said suit. The abdominal plate is scalloped into three bands that are riveted/skived and sequenced strapped together to allow greater movement than such a thick plate of armor would if solid, but still less than traditional ab armors for Mandalorians.

The shoulders are less flap-plates and more form fitting rounded shoulders that fit almost like the shoulders/spaulders of the troopers from the Clone Wars and the Galactic Empire's Storm Troopers. Each has a fluted vane designed to catch and direct incoming fire or strikes from a melee weapon down and away from the face and neck of the wearer/

Flowing from the shoulders are segmented bands of bicep armor, scalloped much like the ab plates. These are made in such a way as to be re-directs much like the shoulder armor, offering little weakness to get in except the inside of the elbow, and a slight opening when the elbow is bent to move the arm, even though the gauntlets flair ever so slightly to compensate and cover this weakness when the arm is extended and not in flexion.

The gauntlets themselves, on this suit at least, are simple. They contain standard mandalorian interfaces for very crude and minimal slicing (the barest of functions) and control uplinks for basic ship and command functions, but not much else besides a few weapons systems.

One bit of metallurigcal genius was the inclusion of a beskar-ostrine alloy in the crushgauntlets, giving Ijaat a legitimate way to be able to use classical dueling and melee moves against lightsaber opponents. The natural resistance of beskar combined with the properties of Ostrine and Ionite made it highly unlikely he would suffer a lost limb in combat, at least in his arms.

The hand plates are just that:-thick slabs of plated hand armor, each one patterned after the old Republic/Imperial Commando, but made to function like crushgaunts, with finger and knuckle plates made of a beskar-ionite alloy with insulating systems that prevent them from interfering with the suits systems that are devastating to breaking shields and electronics just by contact. The addition of Ostrine also allowed, though reduced than if pure, greater heat resistance and the ability to flash-freeze things.

The cod and thighs follow suit of the hand plates, with simple slabs of beskar with fluting and shaping to direct and slough blows away from vital areas. The thighs in particular are more protective than standard armor by being three quarters coverage and covering part of the back of the thighs as well. The knees, at least on this model, are nothing more than again, thick angular plating designed almost like a series of solid rectangular planes welded together, with dart launchers added in.

The shins are fully encompassing, just like the biceps, and seem to be studded with beskar rivets, obstensibly for extra protection, or possibly because to the maker it looked fitting. They are angled, fluted, and overlapped to prevent anything but a very precise upward strike from finding purchase, let alone striking home.

The boots are standard plates of metal sewn to spacers leather, with mag-locks in the toe and heel. There is also miniaturized repulsorlifts in the arch of the boot complimented with inertial dampeners, which help him maintain a certain orientation in zero g's, or to anchor himself against impact such as from a blast or such, or extreme recoil from a weapon. They can also allow for a long jump or temporary hovering effect, though they will need to recharge after.

The backplate is a solid flexed piece of metal much like the traditional armor, with a small modular box for another system or contact point for weaponry or propulsion, but nothing equipped. It also has riveted to it a long flowing green cape that sometimes Ijaat is seen to unpin and tie around his waist almost like a sash or kama

The helmet is much like a traditional Fett helmet, but lacks any external or extended range finders, but has a: sealed, 02 supply, a crude bio-scanner to track target vitals, and standard HUD features. The cheeks of the helmet match the armor, being more angular and cutting, as well the visor is the same, with two unique jags to the side of the visor which allow for greater peripheal vision.
