When she is in her hybrid form she chooses to be adorned with gold colored paint in the symbols of her culture. Her eyes however never seem to change from the color brown.
BIOGRAPHY:
Her mother was born and raised on the planet Ankhypt the eldest daughter of the architect who formed many of the grand structures of Tairos. Often in the market making selections for her father’s friends, she met Bestat’s father, outwardly he appeared as a young man of noble birth. He moved among the people of Tairos without question. Bestat’s mother invited him to one of her father’s feasts the first of many, in a short time having proven worthy they were married.
It was not until the night of their marriage when her father unable to hold his form any longer reverted into the form of the shi’ido. Her mother shocked not sure if she had married man or animal did not know how to react. A blessing from the gods, or a curse either way it was too late they were married.
He explained to her what he was, reverting back to the familiar form she knew. She did not know what to do, and dared not to express concern to her parents. He was still the person she married, he just did not look like she thought.
Over a few years she came to understand, and in time they had their first child Bestat.
Bestat struggled much of her childhood, when she started exhibiting the abilities of her father her parents moved to the desert finding a single oasis and began building their home there. Here where Bestat could grow and her father could teach her control. Being on half shi’ido she cannot assume any form, she can only exhibit human features, change her hair, her eyes, her skin. In her natural form she looks human dark as night.
Her father was taken as apprentice to his father in law, as her mother never told his secret. In time he a well-known architect among the people of Ankhypt even the highest on Ankhypt paid for his designs. In time the family has become part of the royal court as lessor members and their daughter has come under the gaze of the most powerful.
During a feast Bestat came in her natural state and adorned with gold paint. Her parents feared what could happen, that there would be no acceptance of her. Instead she was treated as a minor deity. And now serves the most high, sitting by day taking requests in her natural form, and wandering at night through the cities in her adopted accepted human form.
