Better Late Than Never

After an extended correspondence with [member="Ella Nova"], Arisa had finally set aside some time to meet with the Jedi Knight in search of a new master. The senior Padawan felt she still had much to learn before she was prepared to take the trials for full knighthood.

Their initial meeting was supposed to occur back in Chazwa, but after an unfortunate series of events, the venue had changed to the new Enclave established on Yutan. Since her arrival with a Kiribian expeditionary group, there had been some progress on the renovations, but every night, she still found a
bunk in the air-conditioned Kiribian corvette still made for a much more comfortable experience.

Just after dawn on the morning of their meeting, Arisa had headed to the front courtyard for some exercises with her sword forms. Around Arisa, there could be glints of silver seen as the light of the rising sun hit as she twirled her
estoc around in a series of rapid thrusts and slices, making an audible whirr with each swing.

In her movements, she displayed the balanced style of Niman, with some strong elements of Echani fencing incorporated into her
moveset to better exploit the advantages of a physical blade. Over time, she settled into a rhythm of more precise thrusting motions while visualizing striking against a heavily armored opponent. Right through a soft gap at the joint, or a stab at the spine through the throat. The long tapered blade of the estoc was a perfect weapon for such attacks.

Jedi Knight Ella Nova walked through the halls of the Republic Force Enclave on Yutan, with a sense of anticipation. Beside her rolled her trusted companion, Arsix, who had been beside her from the days of her apprenticeship under Jedi Master Sochi Ru.

The Atrisian girl that she was heading to meet with was set to become her Padawan learner. Ella couldn't underestimate the role that she would play in the life of Arisa Yune and the responsibility she had as her Master. Teaching Arisa in the ways of the Force was an undertaking that she couldn't take lightly. They were set to spend a lifetime together, both as Master and Apprentice, but also something more. A bond that would be created over time, through the Force. The same bond Ella had shared with Master Ru.

Stepping into the courtyard, Ella took to lean against the archway that was it's entrance and exit. She watched the young Atrisian as she practiced. Eyes following the movements of the Lightsaber, Ella stood there for a long time, not wishing to interrupt the girls practice.

When Arisa finally noticed the Jedi standing in the archway, Ella leaned off the wall and took the final steps towards her. Coming to a stop, Ella said: "Hello, Arisa. I am Ella Nova. I have come to teach you the ways of the Force. You are to become my Padawan learner."

When she finally detected the attention of another Force Sensitive upon her, she took a pause in her exercised to face them. It was Ella, accompanied by an astromech. She gave the Jedi Knight a warrior style bow, holding her sword in a reverse grip with the blade pointed toward the floor.

When Ella introduced herself as being her new master, Arisa could only smile politely as she tried to think of an appropriate response that wouldn't offend. Arisa was indeed looking for a new master, but she wasn't at the point of committing to Ella just yet. The woman seemed nice enough, and Arisa was aware of her reputation, but she wanted to get a better feel for her in the flesh before she made up her mind. The bond of master and apprentice meant to be something very special.

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you. I've been tied up with other duties until now."
