Location: Duros, Orbiting city

Duros. A toxic planet, with orbiting satellite cities, filled with people. And with so many people in such a centralized area made it the perfect place to collect hosts easily... It was almost too easy, there were just so many options of hosts to choose from! It was practically a feast.

In a small alleyway, a human male sat up, sitting on the ground. On the human's face was a mask, like those in operas and plays. The man looked around, searching his surroundings, then looked at his own body, examining himself, observing his own body. Then, he stood up off the ground, getting to his feet. At first he seemed a bit unsteady, but once he got used to his own body he became a lot more steady. No one could guess what was going on behind that mask...

Possession stretched the arms of his host, feeling as the arms extended out, feeling the limbs reach out. He couldn't ask for a human in better condition. This host would do, for now at least. Hopefully it would last long enough. For weeks, he had been trapped here since his previous host had decayed and become useless. For now, he had remained here, but soon he would most likely leave, but not before looking around a bit.

Possession walked his host out of the alleyway, walking down the street. He looked around. It had been a while since he had this freedom of movement. He looked around, observing the buildings around him. Of course, he wasn't just here for sightseeing. There was another reason why he was here in this place in particular... He was looking for something important, something that called out to him, beckoning him. As he continued walking down the street, he got multiple strange looks because of the mask, but Possession paid them no mind. Organics could never understand what truly happened in their galaxy. Things far bigger and more complex than them and their tiny, insignificant lives...

Possession stopped his host in front of a cantina. Just from the look of it, he could tell that it reeked of alcohol, cheap food, and the stench of drunks. Usually Possession didn't go into places like this, since he didn't need to eat or drink, but there was something else here... Possession could feel it, the secrecy, the mystique, the hidden away part, the call. Most mortals wouldn't be able to sense this special part, but some might be able to. And Possession had to find it first. And with that hidden call, there was another thing that he sensed... Something powerful, something alive. He wanted to find this living thing with such a pull.

And so, he stepped forward, walking into the bar, searching for whatever it was that he was seeking. Something that was beyond the scale and comprehension of those who had it...

It was only by chance that Neryn found herself in the old cantina, where many of the workers and other lower social classes usually had their basic needs fulfilled.
She hadn't eaten in a long time and had spent the day in the local hangar, researching ships and planning her next voyage.
She enjoye seaweed with mashed potatoes and warm commercial milk poured into a glass stained with the signs of dirty claws of a number of races.

She sat in the most secluded spot, closer to the corner, she liked that silence, that zone of tranquillity which as a result of the spiritual battle she had won against the other
grown men who were now standing enjoying their drinks and cursing themselves for not coming in a few minutes earlier.

So she sat there for about half an hour, talking to the singing fire, studying various cards and stuffing her belly with delicious, though not the best quality food until at one moment the door to the tavern
opened and the girl luckily didn't choke...
She was well aware of all the sources of power for hundreds of kilometres around, and this one she felt somehow different.
She sighed sadly, roughly aware of who was sitting and controling that body and hoping that she would not be spoiled with her appetite, she continued her meal, trying to be particularly
not get too active lest the creature have any reason to attack her though she knew and felt that it wouldn't, it never hurt to be careful.

Possession stepped into the cantina, looking around. Multiple bar-goers were walking around and sitting in seats, eating food and getting drunk all around. So far, not much of interest in the crowd. None of the organics were particularly interesting, or were what he was looking for. Some of them could have made good hosts, but right now he didn't need a host, he needed something greater.

Then, in a secluded corner of the cantina, sat a woman. From her, Possession felt the call grow stronger. He could feel the sense radiating off of her. The power and strength beyond anything any mortal could imagine, the knowledge of a thousand years of experience. That feeling that could not be described with words but with thoughts and emotions, that thing mortals could never possibly understand in a thousand years. Yes, she was one of us. She was another one. She was like Possession. And... there was something oddly familiar about her. Had he met this entity before? He didn't know, he had met a lot of entities in his time, he could never be certain. Or perhaps it was that familiar feeling of ones of his own kind.

Possession walked over towards her, and sat down at her table. He didn't say anything, not yet. He simply observed her, the mask looking over her. She was definitely one of his kind. They all had the same aura around them. Of course, beyond that normal aura most people with Force connection could sense, there was also that deeper, older understanding of the great beyond.

"You know, I don't know how you can handle that." Possession finally said to her, motioning at her food. "Have you seen the state of this place? Filthy. That food must surely not be all that good."

Then, Possession leaned forward. "Of course, our kind do whatever we want to do, don't we, Entity?" He said to her, showing that he knew what she is, and that he knew that she knew what he was.

"So, tell me, have we met before? You seem vaguely familiar, but I can't put my finger on it. Perhaps I haven't seen you in this form before? Then again, I haven't seen another member of our kind in... a good while now." Possession told her.

"So, what brings you here, Entity? Why have you come here in this form? And, remind me, what was your name before?" He asked, putting his arms on the table.

He had finally found another member of his own kind! He was so excited! He couldn't wait to hear about her! It had been too long since he had a good talk with someone who could understand...

Of course, the girl expected that her attitude would be different from that of other mortals, but that much... Well, things happen, she decided, and quietly continued her speech,
listening to her voice and finishing her milk until it was her turn to answer all the questions.
She lifted her head and with fiery eyes she answered in a gentle feminine voice

"I certainly respect your views on local utensils, but all the local races are very tired and have come to rest. Have sympathy and understanding for them, please."

Having finished her milk she sighed and began the longer part of the conversation

"My name is Naivia Neryn, the creature or whatever you want to call it is called Singing Fire. Anyway, this is the first time I've seen you and I'm very surprised that you're behaving like a
a local ruler. I'm just travelling around different planets, learning about the galaxy and everything else. I like learning about shipbuilding and other more advanced construction and industry spheres
I like being here and spending my time in peace. That's all I wanted to say."

Neryn sighed and closed her eyes as she was tired.

Possession listened to her as she spoke, becoming more and more intrigued by her. She certainly was an interesting individual.

Have sympathy and understanding for them, please."

"Of course, I understand that they are making do with what they have, I am only stating that they could improve in some areas." Possession replied, nodding in response.

"My name is Naivia Neryn, the creature or whatever you want to call it is called Singing Fire.

Possession looked at her, the mask staring blankly at her. Possession examined her once more, observing her with intense focus. Name? That name sounded mortal, like she was... mortal. As Possession examined her closer, he noticed more and more. Through the Force, he could also sense more from her. There wasn't just that 1 Force signature of the ancients, there was also another, more organic signature, as if there were two of them there. Creature? Wait... she wasn't a deity. She was, in fact, mortal, but she also had an entity with her.

the creature or whatever you want to call it is called Singing Fire.

"Don't you dare call what you have a 'creature' as if it's some common pet." Possession snarled, malice seeping into his voice. This girl clearly didn't know what she had, what kind of power she held. Then, Possession sighed, relaxing. "Sorry, it's just... Do you not know what you have? Do you not know of the power you have? Do you not know what you are?" Possession asked her.

"Ah, I haven't introduced myself. You mortals call me Possession, but I have a much older name I used to go by. Worshippers of the Force called me 'The Corruption'. But you can just call me Possession. Feels less ominous." Possession told her.

Then, he leaned forward, leaning closer. "Now, do you not understand what you are? Really? Has no one told you?" He asked, tilting his head to the side. "You're a Keeper of The Force. You do know what that is, right?" He continued asking her.

"See, even you can be an idiot sometimes. It's okay, I'm not offended in any way. Regardless of your level of intelligence, spiritual body or form of existence, you have a
mind, a device with both ends. "

Neryn smiled sweetly and approached the mask as she was curious to study Possession too and silently examining it she said

"You're pretty cute, hmm...And why did those people think you were their creation? And you yourself think you're many thousands of years old. Also interesting, the ancient body effect. And don't worry, I know
who I am and what I'm capable of. I just try to study and explore the world through different angles and perspectives, that way I don't have to do what you do.
On the contrary, they help me see my mistakes and improve."

Neryn's aura was indeed unique, a combination of human genius and entity power with overall purpose. The girl gently touched the man's shoulder and Possession
could see entire planets being reborn under the healing power of the force entity. Neryn chuckled a little and added

"So, don't give me that! You see for yourself, yes I am mortal, but with my friend, part of me, I am much more interested in exploring the world."

"See, even you can be an idiot sometimes.

Possession chuckled. These sure were bold words for a mortal, of all people. Even if she was a mortal, she still was intriguing to him. Her limited mortal mind had been expanded upon by the entity that she held. She was far smarter and powerful than most other mortals Possession had met.

"You're pretty cute, hmm...

"Right back at you, I'm surprised none of the males in here tried to flirt with you." He replied. "And what can I say? No one can resist my charms." Possession said jokingly.

And don't worry, I know
who I am and what I'm capable of. I just try to study and explore the world through different angles and perspectives, that way I don't have to do what you do.

"Don't have to do what I do? Are you certain about that? We are both emissaries of the Force. While we may have different tasks and methods, we still follow the will of the Force. It brings us, guides us, and ensures that its own goals and agendas are met, whatever those mysterious goals may be. The Force works in mysterious ways, after all, and we're all on that same direction, whatever path we may take." Possession said to her.

Then, she touched his shoulder, showing him visions of planets being reborn. If Possession was a mortal, it probably would have made his head explode. But, he wasn't a mortal. He had seen stuff of this magnitude and power many times, he had even done some stuff like it similar in the past. It was nothing new to him.

"So, don't give me that! You see for yourself, yes I am mortal, but with my friend, part of me, I am much more interested in exploring the world."

"If you are a mortal, and the entity merged with you, what separates you from the entity? How do you know that you're not the entity? How do you know where you start, and the entity begins? It seems like at this point, the entity is you." He said to her.

The girl silently put her hand back in its place and after thinking about it replied

"I have no exact transition, as if I and the entity are one. That is why you did not ask the right question, especially because if you take the Fower and try to guess
all its intentions, we will understand that within the force there are no definite divisions into white, black, orange, green and so on. The force is one for all living things and if it has to destroy what some might consider sacred and others evil, it will
it will do so not for any reason, but simply because it will do so. As creations of cosmic forces and laws, all we can do is to keep a balance between the personal and the general, between the force and the self. So even though I am originally a mortal being, I became mortal with the knowledge of the entity after meeting him"

The girl yawned and stood up from the table and headed for the exit of the building saying directly into the mind of the creature being manipulated by Possession

"Come on, let's go for a little walk. I have the whole evening free and then fly on."

The girl had a rather lean and weak body, if she didn't have the force powers, she could be counted as a member of this small hungry and poor world.

Possession listened to this, then chuckled, leaning back. That was the answer he had been looking for from her. He had asked her it as a test, to see if she truly was what she said she was. And, well, she passed the test. She truly was what she claimed to be. She was truly special and different from the other mortals.

"Well done," He said to her. "So you do understand. Amazing. Never before have I seen such prowess from a mortal. You understand perfectly the meaning of it all. You are what you claim to be. You passed the test. Well done. I must say, I am impressed by you."

Then, she stood up, and started walking to the exit.

"Come on, let's go for a little walk. I have the whole evening free and then fly on."

Possession shrugged, and he stood up too, following after her. She was truly a special being.

"Let me remind you again, I am 34 years old. I'm a grown woman, not a child. Seriously, if you think it's awesome, that's your right. I'm just saying it's the way
I feel your words and thoughts and feelings. Especially when everyone is trying to preserve their inner world."

There was a slight breeze outside and the girl threw on her slender shoulders the very garment with the beautiful ancient symbols and hiding her arms under it so that it was warm walked quietly beside Possession.

"When I have time I might give you a chance to talk to the Singing Fire, sometimes we communicate with him. In the meantime, I'd like to enjoy some of the silence of this atmospheric place..."

The girl's white hair was floating slightly in the wind, causing the girl to put on her hood and glancing at Possession to ask

"Aren't you cold? It's really windy... Brrr..."

Soon the girl found herself in a lonely park filled with large trees and flooded with the moonlight of the planet's satellites. The girl sat down on one of the benches and covered her eyes and exhaled the cold air, relaxing."

"Let me remind you again, I am 34 years old. I'm a grown woman, not a child.

"Yeah, and I'm thousands of years old. Compared to me, you are a child." Possession replied, walking beside her. "And the knowledge you possess... it's like being a child, but being all-knowing."

"When I have time I might give you a chance to talk to the Singing Fire, sometimes we communicate with him.

"Perfect, I have no doubt that the Singing Fire and I will have some great stories to tell." Possession said, joking around with her. Talking to another entity... that would be perfect. Especially one that had chosen a mortal. They continued walking, eventually coming upon a park.

"Aren't you cold? It's really windy... Brrr..."

Possession shrugged. "Not really. I've been in colder. Plus, I can limit and dull the senses of this body, so I can change how much I feel." He replied. Soon, she sat on a bench, and Possession sat down on it too, staring forward.

Then the girl put her warm hand on Possession's knee and he could hear a pleasant male voice that sounded as if from the depths of space.

"Good evening, please don't be rude to Neryn. For her race she is an amazing individual. And I'll answer your thoughts right away, I didn't choose her, she saved me from loneliness. It's a very different category of friendship and partnership.
You are burning with curiosity as if you haven't seen them for thousands and millions of years or if I was lucky and had too many contacts with some of them, who remained loyal to the force or were its keepers, like me.
I might also add that Neryn doesn't like to talk too much about space stuff. She spent her entire childhood doing it. I didn't have any books, but I can understand her, so I respect her wanting to be alone sometimes or just
or just sleep on the grass away from houses and civilization. We fly on at night, but you can't come with us. We have our mission, you have yours. I am very glad that there are those who are still looking for their own kind. Because some have succumbed to the division of the force into different variations...
and now fight for sentient races so that there are many of our kind who have gone astray as well. But I am sure we are able to help them as Neryn was able to help me while saving her soul."

The voice laughed, and Neryn listened to the music of the night nature with her eyes closed
