- Super Tactical: The BH-OS-series code is based on reverse engineered Super Tactical Droid programing, giving the Overseers extensive knowledge and ability in strategic planning and tactics.
- Sentry Programing: Using a variety of combat subroutines, BH-OS-series droids make for formidable foes and often act as bodyguards for agents of the company and have been known to take on assassins if needed.
- Explosive Failsafe: In the event of a power loss, The BH-OS-series contains a failsafe that rapidly heats the volatile Baradium Core. This is achieved by making all coolant functions dependent on power and limiting coolant to brief intervals, resulting in a highly lethal irradiated explosion comparable to multiple thermal detonators in the event of power failure. This can even be trigged manually by the droid in the event of capture.
- Numb: While programmed to interact with and oversee organics in operation, The militaristic nature of the BH-OS-series leaves these droids seeming Blunt and sometimes Insensitive to sentient organics. Though it should be noted that they are not unlike some Organic commanders among their Mandalorian Comrades.
- Joint Pains: In order to reduce weight and material cost, The BH-OS-series were deigned with fewer external plates than initially anticipated, leaving gaps along the joints that could reduce structural integrity if damaged.
- Explosive Failsafe: While designed not to expose nearby organics to the internal radiation, The resulting Explosion of a manual detonation or battlefield induced core meltdown would cause a highly lethal dose of Baradium-357 radiation to nearby friend and foe alike.
With the ever shifting political and strategic situation across the Galaxy at large, Aloy Vizsla became increasingly aware of the need to shift the balance of manpower toward combat and intelligence without increasing the burden on commanders. The solution was to substitute these commanders with artificial intelligence should they become unavailable for whatever reason.
Thus, The BH-OS-series Overseer was built. They were loyal to the cause and to their organic brethren, and capable of commanding her Starships when a suitable captain was unavailable, and could even act as bodyguards to- or as- agents on their own. Though some doubted these mechanical beasts that stood tall even among the larger warriors of her fleet, none could doubt the results of their field tests against hostile vessels nor their resolve and ability to command in the face of those who once doubted them.
Some even claimed that the prototype- A droid called BH-OS1- had earned the respect of some organic captains among them.
