STRENGTHS
- Sledgehammer:
Remaining true to the general concept of vessels fielded by the Kragamond Wartribe, the Bhorgoth Destroyer possesses enough weapon systems to make even the most formidable of star destroyers shrink back in fear. It is capable of unleashing a truly devastating barrage of laser and missile fire in support of whatever warband it belongs to. - Dead’ard: The Bhorgoth is quite capable of taking a punch as well as nearly any other star destroyer, save for the especially hardy ones designed for enduring extreme levels of punishment. For the ways in which it is utilized, this is more than adequate.
- Compact: Compared to true ‘Star Destroyer’ class vessels, the Bhorgoth Destroyer provides near-equal armaments and defensive staying power in a smaller and more compact package. This affords it a level of versatility and utility within the warbands of the Tribe.
WEAKNESSES
- Limited: While not so scarce as to be hardly fielded or seen, the Bhorgoth is built from the salvaged components of military-grade vessels, and built upon the chassis of larger barge-like craft. Therefore, production of these ships - while not prohibitive, is more thorough and selective to more common craft within the wartribe, such as the Vagabond corvette.
- Slow: Unlike many of the vessels used in the wartribe, the Bhorgoth is noticeably slower. Because of this, it typically engages its enemies at range.
- Bulky: While not the most unwieldy of vessels, the fact remains that the Bhorgoth Destroyer is not well suited to close ranged combat due to the ease in which she can be outmaneuvered.
DESCRIPTION
Unlike many other ship classes within the Tribe, the Bhorgoth fills the much needed role of ranged fire support and staying power. When seen upon the battlefield, it is usually at range while faster and scrappier ships screen and charge forth against the enemy. But, this is not to say she is not a formidable ship in her own right.
Armed with scores of heavy weapon systems, the Bhorgoth can easily overwhelm all but the stoutest of defensive systems, while taking a notable beating herself. This is due largely from the exclusive implementation of salvaged materials and weapons from defeated warships of the galaxy. Whether alone with a light escort of Vagabond corvettes, or assembled in a proper fleet at the behest of the Dark Voice, the Bhorgoth is a tried and tested ship class despite its seemingly ‘piecemeal’ appearance.
