Big Difference

"Glad you could join us on the way back Private Jones, we'll be arriving back to Dosuun in a day or so. For now the Lt. will show you to your quarters. If you would like you can visit the on ship bar at any time." The man smiled at the young private and extended a hand towards the hallway on the bridge. He realized that in the back of his head, he really loved her. He couldn't show it, not yet, but soon. The girls dirty blonde hair caught his eye, her dirty, ragged uniform did nothing tk hinder her bueaty. "Oh and a change of clothes will be waiting for you." He smirked and clasped his hands behind his back.

The two had only just met, but had been through a lot together. They had fought alongside each other, trampling through the dense forests of Zenoma Sekot. Not very romantic, but better than nothing. He worried about this relationship though, he a navy officer, her a private in the auxiliary. However he had confidence he coiled work some magic and make it happen.

@Braser Steltan

thank you lieutenant commander steltan, your hospitality is accepted graciously. Oh thank you again these clothing 're uhhh....tested let's say that sir

With that she turned and follows the lt, this man sure has taking a liking to her, she wasn't sure why either since they had just met....perhaps it was because what they went through. That planet trying to kill then at every bloody corner...her mind flashed back as she saw the images of the vong and such...ince she was led to her room she thanked the person then closed the door to quickly gets dressed ....glad to have some new clothing on...specially ones that didn't smell of death

After she was dressed she started for the bar, proper drink was all she needed to make the day better, while walking she caught the eyes and words of a few people

"Is that the jones?"
"I heard she desertered"
"Quiet man she'll kill you dead"

She ignored them as she got to the bar, ordered a whiskey before taking the glass and sipped it, that liquid burning as she sighed and smiled. Yea that was refreshing showed she was alive

Braser closed his eyes and sighed as he walked along the corridors of his ship, the polished black floor matching his boots. He was passed by several technicians and troopers traversing the hallway. He made his way to the captains qaurters and changed into another uniform. His current one was rather beaten from the war on Zenoma Sekot, a mix of sweat and blood stained its perfect blue color. He swapped it with a pristine black uniform, his cap donned, we left his qaurters for the on ship bar. He hoped that he could find comapny there, he didn't prefer drinking alone.

He passed through the sliding doors into the small bustle of crewmen, drinking and laughing. The room fell silent as he entered, per the usual. He was a strict man, and his crew were used to this. He smirked and walked to the bar as the laughing and drinking continued. He didn't see [member="Sara Lee Jones"] anywhere. He sighed and ordered a shot of whiskey. He perched his bearded head on his hand and surveyed the room. There she was! Sitting at the very edge of the bar. He quickly stood up and made his way over to the woman. He sat alongside her and flashed a wide smile. "Evening private Jones, I hope you are finding the ships accomodations comfertable. We didn't have much time to speak on Sekot, why don't you tell me about yourself?"

@Braser Steltan

She stared into the liquid, what did she see exactly? She saw a beaten veteran of war, a traitor...how the hell did she end up here? It was a simply mistake she made because she wasnt thinking straight. She downed the liquid and cleared the rest as she sighed and then looked back into the glass, nothing...thats all she needed to see

She heard whispering around the place, she was causing a stir for sure, the former ace Sara lee Jones...now part if th aux a simple throw away soldier that could die and no one would even care at all...

Suddenly she was drawn outof that fair place she was heading, she looked decided her seeing the lieutenant commander, she gave a smile a a she say up ordering for another whiskey

it's perfect actually definitelyneeded a drink after that hell hole, about me ah well .

She rubbed the back of her head a a She lowered her voice and sighed

I'm afraid my glory isn't as good...see....i just came back from deserting

Might as well get blown out a airlock now then layer when he trusted her...or got to close that is

Braser jerked his head back slightly as the words hung in the air. A deserter?! On his ship?! This simply couldn't be, he had fallen for a traitor. "I'm sorry, come again?" He chuckled nervously and raised a shaky hand to sip his drink. The alcohol relaxing him as he stared into the girls eyes. "Dont worry I'm not going to report it." He smiled and leaned against the bar table. So maybe she was a deserter, it's not like everyone hadn't thought about it a time or two. She just had the courage to act on that want.

He couldn't just betray her though, not after their time on Sekot. Yes he would be harboring a deserter, but she was just an auxiliary now so it truly didn't matter. As his excuses ran through his head he became more calm. And breathed a heavy breath. Everything was going to be fine.

@Braser Steltan

have you heard the battle of bespin? I fought there. It was when I was a pilot of bolt squadron...i was shot down and crashed...i didn't exactly think right and before long I was captured...i managed to get free and...i joined the galactic Empire

She ordered something strong as it filled the glass as she downed half and sighed

I spent a year there and came back...i was detained by the fosb...spooks and such...then I was put on trial...ans then sentence me to the aux...now I've to reearn....all I had...hell even my parents don't want me who's gonna want a traitor

She drank the rest and sighed as she covered her face feeling the guilt and pain come up in her...all this semen that died in vain and now she had to watch as fresh aux would die while she live....by the force it made her...just angry and upset

Braser sighed and looked down into his glass. His sad eyes were filled with compassion as he placed a comforting had on Private Jone's back. She winced at the touch at first, I suppose you would jumpy after all she's clearly been through.

I understand Sara, may I call you Sara? I don't blame you for it. You've already stood trial and what's done is done.

He smiled with compassion and looked up at her. He couldn't help but feel sorry for her, and try to comfort her. However he had seen what she could do, she didn't need any help, but sometimes no matter who you are you need a companion. Hopefully the man could provide that for her.

If you ever need anything, and I mean anything. You let me know.

She looked down into that liquid, she was just a traitor...only thing she was good for now was going into certain death to possibly come out alive...was she truly alive after her first mission? She didn't know...outsode sure, but inside she felt that darkness wash over her..

Yes you may...i may of stood trial, but is it really over? I've stained my name and honor...ive nothing but myself.

She knocked the drink back as she ordered another feeling that warm feeling around her as she wiped her eyes before sighing out as she nodded to him

I don't know what I need, I need something to keep me sane before i dive off and end up as one of those soldiers that lost a nut

You're not alone Sara, you've got Tour, and... you've got me. Also, you don't have to call me sir.

He nervously removed his hand and shook his head. He took a sip and let the warm alcohol sting his throat and cling to his finely kept beard. He ordered another and saw Sara wipe a tear. If he was being completely honest he had never seen the woman vulnerable before.

I truly don't know what to say, except I'm sorry Sara. I wish I knew what I could do for you but I don't. I wish I knew how to help you, but I don't.

He chuckled and sipped his drink. He was never so open to other people. His men, his crew, they knew him as a soulless man that never shoed his emotions. Unless it was the joy of bringing his enemies death. The two took a moment of silence as he stared into his drink. He smirked and turned back to her.

Id better stop before any crew see me, don't want them to think their Commanding Officer has a heart.

She was a bloody mess, however she found comfort in the man. She sipped her nose as she sighed and sat up nodding a bit

yea, your right besser. I've people still, I don't need anything else right now...eh do we have some wine?

Something little lighter probs be the best for her, she offered a light smile as she wiped her nose and offered a laugh at his comment as she patted his back

your a good man, anyone under your lead should be honored

I appreciate that Sara, but I do believe they get tired of me after a while.

He chuckled and gestured to the bartender towards the red wine on the shelf. The droid quickly grabbed the bottle of red liquid as well as two glasses. Braser slid his glass back towards the droid, looking up to see a tear in Sara's eye. He lifted his index finger up to her cheek and wiped away the salty substance. The two locked eyes as the bar droid poured the red wine into their glasses. Breaking eye contact for a moment he placed one of the glasses in her hand. The other in his. He took a sip of the wine and smiled.

Id tell you my life story as well but I think t would be rather cliché at this point.

@Braser Steltan

it happens moments of annoyance trust me being a squadron leader I've seen it

She watched the droid as it grabbed the wine no doubt imperials best, she slid her glass tothe droid before she felt him wipe a tear away, her eyes turned up to him as they locked looking into his as she coughed and looked away feeling but always but gave a smirk as she took the glass and raised it

no please do tell me I would enjoy hearing about you

Oh you know, a typical story. A young boy growing up on Corellia with his wealthy parents. Put in the academy at age ten, ridding coat tails of high ranking officers until I earned this.

The man waved his long arm around the room, gesturing to his achievement. He smiled and let his body relax more, slumping his shoulder onto the counter. Lifting his glass at his eye level, tilting it side to side and watching the red liquid slosh around. His eyes were lost in the wine as he thought of his past. He stopped and took a sip, looking back into Sara's eyes.

I have fought many battles for The First Order, lost many men. Its all so tiring... not to mention lonely.

@Braser Steltan

age ten huh? Hahahah I was let's see...they came when I was around 8 that's when they started me academy at 11...spent my time there till I graduated

She visibly relaxed, she gave a smile while she sipped her wine a a she looked back at him, something about this man she just....she coudknt place it bit it made her feel not alone anymore knowing she had someone there she could trust. She let a sigh out as she nodded in agreement

hehehe sounds like me, I've fought since I was...18...im 25 now...ive lost 178 men...and the one man I did have disappeared and left me...i understand fully

She placed a hand down near his without knowing as she smiled

Disappeared and left eh? You truly do deserve more than that.

Her hand feel close to his, without a thought to it his hand found hers. He blinked and looked up at the women, her eyes locked with his. He smiled and chuckled at the hilarity of it all. He, the respected and esteemed commander that he was. Had fallen for an auxiliary private, a deserter. Their hands stayed together as he took a sip and laughed looking back to her.

Well then.... we have something in common.

@Braser Steltan

She looked to his hand, she felt the impulse to move it but didn't as she decided she needed to break this cycle before she got into it fully. She gave a smile as she took a drink of her wine with a big smile as she finished the glass

I agree, i think we have common ground despite the ebig differences between us and frankly...it makes me feel good

A wave of relief hit him as her hand stayed with his. He finished his wine and stood up, straightening his collar. He smiled a wide smile and extended a hand to help her out of her seat.

Its getting rather crowded in here, shall we go to my quarters to talk more?
