Big Surprises and Small Packages

[member="Tugoro Taidarious"]

Nar Haaska. An all-but-forgotten planet, located in what was known as Hutt Space. Once held by the Yuuzhan Vong, in the long-ago Yuuzhan Vong War. A hovel, a melting pot, a convergance of elegance and extravagance, rich and poor, the luster once held now gone.

But hey, at least there was a bed for Taz. Well, alright, it wasn't a bed bed, but it worked.

Confined to a rather large, golden bird cage, the Patitite gripped the bars and stared out at the revelry. Her owner, Bedula the Hutt, sat atop many opulent pillows, bellowing laughter as he smoked one substance or another. Meanwhile, entertainers entertained, drunkards drank, and overall everyone was having a good time.

Except for her, of course. No one had bothered to pay any attention to her, and now Taz was up in her cage with a grumbly stomach.

Not for the first time, the girl tried to swing her cage. "Hey!" she shouted not for the first time, trying to get someone's attention. "I'm hungry up here! Throw some food my way!"

One of the entertainers, a green-skinned, curvaceous Twi'lek named Nima, looked up from her platter of food and sashayed her way over to the diminuative being. A reluctant slave herself, Nima had taken pity on Taz and would often slip her small trinkets and food. "Hush, Taz, you don't want Bedula to get mad at you again. You know he doesn't like it when you yell."

Taz plopped down onto one of the tiny pillows Nima had made for her, arms crossed in frustration. "Then maybe he should remember to give me food, too."

The Twi'lek shook her head and popped her chewstim before slipping one of the tiny sandwiches through the bars. "I thought Tooni took care of your food?"

"I don't think he likes me," Taz said through a mouth of food. "He's swatted at me a time or two." The girl swallowed before baring her little teeth in a snarl. "Maybe I should teach him to treat me better!"

Nima rolled her eyes, popping her chewstim again. "Do that, and Bedula will definitely have your head!"

Taz merely blew a raspberry, which prompted a little chuckle from the older slave. "Just eat your food, you little demon."

"Yeah, yeah. Thanks!"

"Uh-huh."

Slavery was something that Tugoro simply didn't stand for. Having almost been enslaved at a young age, the Padawan knew the trauma such an event could inflict on one's psyche, and thus was more than compassionate for those who suffered under the iron chains of oppression. So, it would be no surprise to anyone that knew him to find out he was less than pleased, as his gaze looked upward upon the golden bird cage. Dressed in Sand People attire, Tugoro would remain silent and intimidating within the main hall, leaning against a wall calmly as he continued to observe the ongoing party. The boy's position and attire gave him a perfect few of the room, for no one was man enough to approach him, and so he could see everything. More than that, he could feel it. He could feel the sorrow, the despair, and the hopelessness that was so deeply ingrained in the many slaves that were busy working the floor and the like.

Suddenly, the youth's eye was caught by a curvaceous green Twi'lek, who had begun moving towards the cage in which imprisoned @Taz. At first the Jedi was unsure of what she was about to do to the shouting creature, but his sensing abilities assured him there was no hostile intent. Kicking off the wall out of the blue, the 'Tusken Raider' would begin to move, causing those nearby to almost flinch and track his every movement. Soon, Tugoro would lose the eyes upon him as he turned a corner, heading deeper into the palace's corridors in a rather casual manner. It didn't long last, for within a moment's notice the young Jedi moved as a blur, shooting with much speed through the hallways, slowing down as he reached a staircase in which he jumped down. Now in the palace's lower levels, Tugoro would continue to much with agility, locating the structure's power generator that supplied all electronics with electricity. The lights, music, perhaps even any security cameras would be rendered useless after his little stunt.

Pulling a dark, metallic saber hilt from his Sand People trappings, the Jedi would run his thumb along the activation switch, causing the crimson blade of plasma energy to glow vibrantly. It seemed he had picked the perfect time for sabotage, for anyone that might have been on guard was definitely partying it up. Cocking his arm back, Tugoro would lunge forth, hurling his lightsaber into the power generator, causing sparks to fly here and there before everything powered off. Knowing he had little time left, the Padawan would keep on the move, fleeing the scene with his force enhanced speed, his slow motion perception allowing him to gaze upon and listen to the disgruntled and obviously disappointed crowd. Everyone was more or less pitch black, and now was the time to act. Guards had begun to scramble, surrounding the Hutt in anticipation of an assassination attempt. This would not occur however, for Tugoro was busy employing the force in several ways, exerting his mind to focus a stream of telekinesis that would unlock Taz's cage, and pull her from it's confines. From there she would be guided down to rest on his shoulder, while the boy reached out to take a hold of a nearby hand, the same curvaceous Twi'lek's he had spotted earlier.

He was able to sense a few others, though it would be difficult to break everyone out with such a randomly pulled together plan. Ushering the most likely reluctant duo from the party and into a dark hallway, the boy would lift a single gloved finger in front of his lips, motioning for the two to remain silent before moving back into the crowd. Man, how he loved being all mysterious and creepy. Probably wasn't a good thing, but it really did make his job much easier. Everything more or less had occurred within the span of two minutes, causing Tugoro to stress out as he looked around for more people to free. There were a few here and there, but the boy could have sworn he had heard Bedula order for the back up generator to be hooked up. That was bad. A few technicians escorted by some guards would leave the area, leaving the slimy Hutt more unguarded than before.

Once more moving with nigh-untraceable speed, Tugoro would approach the grand throne that Bedula sat upon, his arms lifting visibly to align with the guards that stood close, before waving through the air. This would release a focused blast of telekinesis, one that stretched out to slam into every single thug, pinning them against the wall as everyone gasped and turned towards the commotion. Wouldn't they be even more surprised, as a shining pink blade of energy ignited to life, slicing cleanly into the Hutt's flesh within a second of the weapon's withdrawal. The small shoto blade would disengage as freeing itself from the Hutt's thick skin, the wound causing Bedula to scream out in pain before passing out, most likely dying later.

Trying not to dwell on what he had just done, Tugoro would turn away from the murder he had committed, lifting his arms once more, allowing his hands to focus in on the remaining slaves that were bound, releasing them via telekinesis. Beneath the cloth and mask he wore, the youth's eyes became almost sunken looking as sweat formed upon his brow, his own stamina running low after such consistent exertions. By now, crowds of people were screaming and fleeing the scene, trampling each other as they attempted to save themselves. Tugoro on the other hand was already ahead of them, once more beside Taz and Nima, hoping to usher them away from the path that everyone was focusing on. Traversing through the dark corridors, the youth would attempt to guide the duo to a garbage shoot, one that led outside of the establishment. He stood in front of the hatch, looking between it and them a few times.
