Binding of Souls

It had all started only a few days ago. Not many knew that Lord Ajihad was a prophet, they only thought of him as a Sith Knight. However, ever since he was little, he had had prophetic dreams and visions. As a matter of fact, if not for those visions, he would not be anywhere near the man he was today. They had never lead him astray, something he wished he could say about more aspects of his life.

Just recently he had been meditating in his private quarters on Coruscant, when a vision had struck him. This one had been stronger than most, making his body shake in pain as it had come to him. This vision had come in the form of a single image, of him standing before a Jedi Master, cobalt lightning flying forth from his hands. However, it wasn't this aspect of the image that confounded him. It was the fact that there seemed be... ghosts flying around him like a tornado. They seemed to be feeding him power, and strengthening his lightning.

Being a true believer in his visions, Vi'kas had headed straight to the Sith archives. It was late at night, but he was still granted admission. He had spent hours pouring through the many books, hoping to find some reference to harnessing ghosts. After a few hours, he had been able to find what he was looking for. There was a chapter of an ancient book labeled "Force Walking." It wasn't a large chapter, but it was enough to give him a decent amount of information. Force Walking seemed to be a power where one bound ghosts to themselves, to increase their own power. If was discovered by a man named Ergast, in the days of old. Apparently he had a holocron, but nobody knew what happened to it. Also, there were possible side effects of this ability. Ghosts could cripple a practitioner both physically and mentally, if one was not careful.

After going over all of his fellow Sith in his head, Vi'kas could not think of anyone who might know this. So, he did the logical thing. He put out an ad on the holonet for any information about ghosts. This was a very open way of doing business, but it got results nonetheless. A man named Dozer had answered the call, and had agreed to meet him in a bar on Coruscant.

That's where Ajihad currently was, in a corner booth within a cantina on Coruscant. It was nothing fancy, but it should do the trick. Dozer should arrive any minute. [member="Damien Daemon"]

Dozer, a highly trained soldier and mercenary, roughly 7 feet tall, 330 pounds of hulking muscle; the intimidating image in any scenario. Walking into the cantina, he looked around for a moment. Delving into his limited skills as a Force User, he used his Force Shadow to scan the world and people around him. Soon enough he located the being he sought, through the description his intelligence told.

Closing in, he drug a hand across his bare scalp, he sat opposite the man. Leaning back, he stared for a long moment. Moving his hand along the stubble against his chin, he contemplated the man.

"I hear you have some questions about interesting talents..." he murmured softly.

Lord Ajihad looked up from his drink, and eyed Dozer. Using his cybernetic eye to scan for an ID, he managed to find that this was indeed the man he was looking for. Subtlety looking the man up and down, he noted his immense size. No doubt this man could be either a valuable ally or an intimidating enemy in a battle.

After taking a sip of his drank, the Sith spoke to Dozer, "Indeed, I am paying for any information on the subject of the ethereal. The more information I receive, the more credits you get. Now, I assume you indeed know something? Because I don't particularly like it when people waste my time..."

Dozer chuckled, "Make all of the threats you will, even if attempting to sound civilised. I have dealt with more horrible creatures than yourself." Scratching at his jaw once more, he contemplated what to say next, "What form of abilities is it you seek knowledge of?"

[member="Lord Ajihad"]

Though his face didn't show it, Ajihad was impressed by the man's courage. Not many people spoke to a Sith like that, and would run in fear at Ajihad's threat. After taking another sip of his drink, he said, "I am looking for information on an ability known as force walk. It involves binding ghosts to one's self for an increase of power. Do you know anything of this?"

Dozed arched a brow, "There is a few that I have come across in my time. But if you seek the purest, the mans name is Damien Daemon. Once a Sith protege, he has since begun working with the Primeval my sources tell me.

"He will be hard to kill however. Many have tried. Few even came close..." then slowly Dozer arched an eye, "Unless you seek him for other pur-"

Blood splattered everywhere, as a massive two handed sword appeared in his chest. Slowly raising from the middle upward, it eventually showed between the two halves, a tall ebony skinned man with a leather jacket covering the majority of his body.

Damien Daemon swung the blade about to clean the blood, than returned it to its scabbard, "Been meaning to catch up with you Dozer..." He muttered to himself as he pushed the body to the ground.

Reaching out with his mental probe, he gripped the mind of a nearby waitress, demanding she clean the mess without incident. Then sitting across from the man at the table, he glared a moment, "Why do you seek to know of my abilities?"

[member="Lord Ajihad"]

As the man he was conversing with was adruptly severed in half, Ajihad stood up quickly. He ignited his lightsaber, and held it at the man's throat. However, after hearing what he had to say, he sheathed his weapon and say back down.

Releasing the tension from his body, Ajihad looked the man up and down. He could sense the force power radiating off of him, probably a good sign. "I seek to learn Force Walk because of my quest for greater power. It would be another card up my sleeve, and an excellent ally in battle. I crave knowledge, and this would help sate my hunger."

(Lol just throwing it out there that, technically your scan would register Damien as an unknown. His original body was the one everyone knew, the newer one is still to new lol. Most people know him as Daemos.)

Damien chuckled, turning the small baritone into a rich laughter, "You expect me to impart with my greatest ability??" He asked with an arched brow, "Why should I? For all I know you will learn it, and attempt to slay me at another time!"

[member="Lord Ajihad"]

(Edited, sorry about that :) )

Ajihad nodded his head, acknowledging the man's statement made sense. After giving the notion a moment's thought, he spoke to the man before him in a deadly serious tone. "I understand the reason behind what you you say. I could learn from you what I wish, then slay you for whatever reason. However, I give you my word that I will not just learn the ability, and kill you for no reason. I am a man of honor, and will stand by my word. Now, I shall ask again, would you consider teaching me this?"

Damien eyed the man, his stare enough to send ice shares down the spine of an average man. Why would he teach this man? Why should he? Just some commitment with nothing to back it was his claim..

"What will you give me in return?" Damien spoke finally, "Say my requirement was monumental, would you agree to it to learn?"

Ajihad would raise his brow at the man before him. He wondered just what [member="Damien Daemon"] would ask of him. "I don't know what you want from me, but I can probably provide you with what you want. I won't give you anything life-changing for myself, but beyond that, I think we can reach an agreement. What do you want?"

"I will teach you the ability, as Ergast taught me, but in return I want your most intimate memories. Family? A caring friend? Some lover you couldn't live without? You pick; and I will eviscerate the knowledge.

"This will prove to me that you will give anything to learn." Damien said as he stared intently at the man, "But I do not ask for a quick five minute memory. I ask for something that made you the man that sits before me."

[member="Lord Ajihad"]

Lord Ajihad frowned as [member="Damien Daemon"] mentioned Ergast had taught him the ability. Ergast had lived centuries upon centuries ago, meaning Daemon couldn't have possibly learned it from him... could he? He shrugged his shoulders, remembering it look into it later.

Either way, the man had asked him for a memory. A memory that had helped shape him into the person he was today. He thought long and hard about what memory to give up. After taking some time to deliberate on it, the Demon's Fist knew what to do.

It wasn't just one memory, more rather a collection of smaller ones. They were memories of his mother, from when he but young child on the Miraluka homeworld. His mother had been the one and only source of compassion throughout his life, teaching him how to care. How to be a good person. How to love. In his eyes, this made him weaker. Giving up the memory, he would become more cold-hearted, more vicious. However, at the same time, he would lose all memory of his mother. Any "good" traits he had would be taken away, leaving him as a different person.

Because the man had not replied, Damien took it as a moment of decision. Thus he simply sat quietly.

(Sorry about that, forgot to add a last part to my post)

Lord Ajihad would collect all of the thoughts about his mother, and sort of bundle them together. He didn't want any fleeting off, and denying [member="Damien Daemon"] his prize. After he made sure he had everything he needed, he looked at the man seated across from him. "Very well. I am ready when you are." He took a deep breath, preparing himself for what was about to occur.

Damien nodded and immediately launched his senses into the mans brain. Finding no resistance, he didn't have to "break" anything so he simply looked for the first thoughts. It appeared to be of the mans mother, whom showed him a great deal of kindness and love.

That was dark. Even for a man who slaughtered whole cities to bind their spirits to him. How could someone wish to be rid of the memories they bore of their progenitor?

But using Mnemotherapy, Damien began to not simply erase the memories, rather he absorbed them into himself. Eating the knowledge as Voracitos had done to himself, he moved from one to the next.

All of them seemed to be bunched together as if they had been bundled for simplicity. However, Damien couldn't trust a man he did not know, so he delved deeper and deeper.

After an arduous hour, Damien drew his mental essence back into himself and felt a smile appear. He now had memories of a mother - his mother from the aspect the memories showed - which was wonderful as he hadn't a slight idea of his own family was thanks to Voracitos doing the same thing to himself.

"Well, it must suck having no idea who your own mother was. No recollection of a face, name, hair color or anything." Damien said, his smile stretching to a grin, "But let us go. We must begin training. I am a man of my word."

[member="Lord Ajihad"]

Lord Ajihad stood up, a look colder than before upon his face. He would offer a curt nod, also stretching himself out. He left his drink on the table, and moved to follow [member="Damien Daemon"] . The process had wore him out mentally, and even saddened him a bit. The fact that he lost all memory of his mother was indeed a bit sad, but it he would deal with it. Some sacrifices just had to be made.

"Very well, Mr. Daemon. Where shall we go for this?"

"Outside." Damien said with a laugh, "We need to find victims. Remember, the more powerful they are the more energy the can give. Not just Force Users in that aspect either; Non Force Users can be potent, like soldiers or committed physicians." Glancing about, he gestured with broad hands at the massive platform they were on, "Pick. Don't move yet though. Simply pick. I will do so as well."

[member="Lord Ajihad"]

Ajihad would nod with a grin. Killing in public without being noticed? It was the assassin's speciality.

He looked around, before spotting his target. It was a Togruta Sith, fairly strong in the force. Ajihad had seen him in the halls of the academy before. He was a Knight, being promoted not too long ago from an apprentice. He stood out more than any of the rest, so Vi'kas picked him. It seemed he was a little buzzed, having more drinks than he should. "I've made my choice."

(Anytime you want a Knight or higher, I recommend longer posts as well as a few more of them.)

Damien chuckled, his eyes easily following his students', "He will be an interesting one to bind. As well, I recommend one other thing, attempt to less than often not pick loyal Sith to bind to yourself. Some of them are just insane enough that they do not care how the victory is made so long as it is. This in itself is draining for you, for spirits must be bound against their will." Glancing past the Torgruta, he spotted a pair of adequately powered Dark Jedi Padawans, and nodded to himself.

"Move closer to the man, then kill him. Brutally. His spirit must be surprised at how he was eviscerated..." Damien murmured then shrugged as he chuckled, "Well not must, but battles won decisively and aggressively tend to produce for sure spirits."
